    Arrived Not Activated

I read other reviews before I purchased that said their steam card arrived and had not been activated. My card arrived and it had not been activated either. After contacting customer service, they were able to see that the card had yet to be activated on their end. I ordered this for myself, so it was frustrating, but ultimately resolved fairly easily. Had this been a gift for someone else, it would have been a complete mess. I am selecting yes I would recommend, but with reservations as my experience was far from ideal.

My husband purchased this as a gift card for me for Christmas. I wanted the Star Wars: Battlefront (PC) Season Pass, the sales agent said that they had it on Steam, it wasn't there. Other Star Wars games were (but not even the newest game itself). I ended up buying the newest expansion for EverQuest (that was listed, but not anything extended like Daybreak has), since I had some left on a 50 dollar gift card, I decided to get some games that I thought would be enjoyable, which are Portal 1 and 2, Tomb Raider (2013)-DLC for that as well. But the lack of really good games for Steam is much to be desired, I'm a gamer but I do choose wisely.

Bought 2 $50 Steam Wallet Cards for Christmas gifts. Mailed them off and then on Christmas when they opened them and tried to use them they couldn't. They had not been activated. Tried doing it over the phone but was having a lot of trouble so I had to email them the receipt and then they had to drive to a Best Buy store to take care of it. What a hassle. Make sure you actually activated the cards before shipping them out. I hated giving a present they couldn't use right away.

Apparently if you spend $20 on a gift card for steam and then put the code into steam, you get $20 on steam. Idk what else you’d expect. Three stars cause that’s average and this product is average. Five stars would be earned if somehow the dollar amount increased, but that’s not what happened. Go Steelers.

Steam is a platform for purchasing games online and playing with friends. I used this 50 dollar card to buy Tekken 7 and play with my cousin but I have to say that I wont be buying anymore of these as the game available are very limited and I dont like the whole idea of the need for extra programs between me and my games.

I bought this as a Christmas present to a friend in another state. So when they tried to use it, it kept coming up invalid so I had him call Best Buy’s 1800 number and they activated it over the phone. This is not the first gif to card I’ve purchased and had devilered that wasn’t t activated.

The card added the money to my Steam Wallet as advertised; that’s good. Best Buy no longer allows me to buy them with Rewards certificates; that’s bad. Why bother going out of my way to get Steam cards when I could just charge my games to my credit card directly?

You don't get much for $20.00 on Steam!! My son likes PC games, so I buy these cards, but I would rather pay for an XBox One, or PS4 game. He gets "kicked off" if his Internet lags, or he gets called away from the game. Any type of weapon upgrade cost A BUNCH OF MONEY... I think he should stick to the game system games and stop the PC madness.

Steam is a fair game provider, and has numerous games for very small prices (indie type), they also provide current releases and a forum for most games. The gift card is a great way to purchase on Steam so you don't have to use your credit card online.

Card worked as supposed too. Would have been nice if Best Buy had all card increments in one place, not scattered throughout the store. Purchased $50 because there were no $25 cards. Turns out there were $25 cards but only by the register and I didn't see them until after checking out.

Card number scratches off on back

My kids love this card but buyer beware because the numbers on the back can be wiped off if you scratch to hard with a coin. My sons did that and good luck getting in contact w anyone. I went back to the store but gift cards are not refundable or exchanged.

I received this with the Razer gaming mouse bundle during the Steam Summer sale. It was well worth the price for the bundle, however I am not sure that it is good on its own as you are trading cash (usable everywhere) for steam wallet funds (usable only with steam).

Got charged tax on a card that just gives you money (it's basically a gift card). It should have been tax free. Otherwise it is exactly as expected. If you're looking to get Steam credit, skip this one and get one of the regular ones (no tax).

These are a great gift for kids who love games on the internet, i think they area a bit expensive for what you get. But the games they play are pretty cool, i personally don't play them but they are fun to watch and the kids like upgrading their tools.

It’s a gift card for a digital store front for PC games. You can browse Steam’s selection yourself to find something you like. It’s literally the biggest digital distributor of games.

This is my second Steam card purchase, and for some reason it only shows up in Canadian funds and only lets me purchase games using the Canadian amounts, which is more than US. Other than that, I like the game selection

One of the best gaming platforms. Just be careful of spammers and scammers trying to phish your credentials.Steam support also leaves a lot to be desired as support is essentially non-existent

If you have 10yr+ olds and don't know what to buy anymore try these cards. Need internet access since all the games need to be downloaded to install. Need to enjoy gaming too.
