Great Steam card. Safer than putting on bank or credit card.

I bought this as a gift card for a friend. I thought since I was buying it online, and you redeem it online I might just get a code to send to my friend. Instead I needed to wait for shipping. At that point I was disappointed as I am used to buying codes in stores and getting the code on a receipt (not a gift card) so I thought this was a waste of time. I was happily surprised to see that the shipment wasn't a waste since it was a real card. However, why do I need a physical card when the entire transaction process in online?

Perfect gift for my son, of course he spent it in two seconds. My 12 year old is a gamer both console and pc. I highly recommend Steam Gift cards for the pc gamer.

Something to consider when purchasing Gift Cards in general, if you plan to buy multiple cards, I'd suggest purchasing them individually. Reason being is when you purchase multiple Gift Cards only the first card is activated instantly, the remainders can take hours to activate. It has something to do with the receipt, when a single receipt is activated for a single gift card it's an instant activation. Other than that, it's like any gift card, enjoy.

Best Buy has long been my go-to for Steam prepaid cards. Every store stocks plenty of them and makes it convenient to turn cash into Steam wallet credit, or grab them as gifts for friends and relatives. Few other major chains regularly stock them!

These cards are instant. The things that suck about them though is there is a limit to how many digital cards you can buy and usually the higher dollar value cards are unavailable or sold out. Usually if you go to any other store that isn’t Best Buy they have the 30 and 50 dollar cards in abundance. The other thing that sucks is that sometimes they don’t initialize the cards and you have to go complain on the forums to get someone to fix the issue(I currently have one that didn’t work but I paid for in my pocket but haven’t complained about yet) 20 dollars in the toilet. Buyer beware
