Not quite what I was expecting, the head is a lot larger than I'd hoped and there was no description of head width. It's a bit too large to work effectively on my face. Also, box looks like it had been opened or dropped upon delivery

Jury is Still Out

The Vanity Planet, Exfoliating & Lifting Wand in white comes in a box with the unit, a USB charging cable, and a manual. Honestly, like I said in the title of this review, the jury is still out on what I think.
So, going through the process from when I got this unit, clearly the first thing to do is get it charged up. You need to have some sort of ability to put the USB into a charging port and since I do this in my bathroom. electric plug in with a USB port works best for me. The user manual states that it takes 2 hours to charge and then the charge should last for 1 hour and 20 minutes, but my experience does not bear that out. I notice that when I put the scrubber away and then come back to it the next day that the charge must have dissipated and when I press the on/off button there is no response
That is a concern of mine that I might have a bad unit, but I simply do not know. I imagine the best thing for me to do is call the company and try to get customer service to give me an opinion, but I cannot find that anywhere in their user manual or on the box that it comes in, which is what I will try to do when i have time to do so. The manual that came with the unit is complete and very helpful, no short cuts there.
So, this wand has 3 different levels of service - to cleanse, which is to exfoliate, to moisturize, which is to apply serums, lotion, and potion to your face, and lift, which is to eradicate fine lines and wrinkles. Right off the bat, in my opinion, the evaluation period has not been long enough to determine the efficacy of the lift function. I will say that the most zing is using this to cleanse, and then a mid amount of zing to moisturize, and the least amount of zing to lift.
I am a 62 year old female with very well-taken car of skin, I have not abused it over the years with sun exposure , etc. When I use the cleanse feature, I do feel that my skin feels plumper and that it has gotten some sort of workout with this ultrasonic scrubber. That feeling is good because it lets me know that my face did get exercised.
I did have some sort of small pore blockage, blackhead, right where my skin meets my upper lip on the right side and yesterday I went through the full gambit of functions to work on that area. I must have brought it to a head and/or loosened it up because with a little bit of squeezing this morning, I was able to get the yuck out of that pore.
Tailor your routine on page 11 of the user manual says that we can use all three levels at one sitting, but to not use it more than 2 minutes on any of the settings. It also states to incorporate its use into our routine about 1 or 2 times per week depending on the user's skin sensitivity. For that reason, I cannot honestly state whether or not I find this unit beneficial to purchase.

Invisible benefits?

My skin type is sensitive, mostly normal with a little oil on my nose and I experience occasional spots/pimples. After using this Vanity Planet Ultrasonic Scrubber 3 times, I haven’t noticed any major benefits. I got this product to enhance my skincare routine, not to fix anything, but to add a layer of possible benefits to my existing routine (cleanse, toner, serum, moisturize). I found this wand or scrubber to be a bit loud because I’m very sensitive to high frequencies. While this product isn’t particularly loud while holding it away from the skin, it was loud in the sense that I could hear the higher vibrations when using this wand on my forehead or on my cheekbones moving toward my ears.
CLEANSE MODE (also referred to as Exfoliate mode): The manual states to prep the skin by washing your face to remove makeup or surface-layer debris. I followed these instructions before trying this mode with damp skin, moisturized skin, and with cleansing gel. With damp skin, I felt like my face wasn’t slick enough for the wand to glide, so I didn’t like this method. Moisturized skin was probably the best way to go because the wand glides easily. I also tried a third time with a layer of cleansing gel on my face but it dried pretty quick so I either had to re-apply the gel in the areas I was working or I had to apply water to continue getting a good glide. The cleanse mode overall didn’t exfoliate much of anything, even around my nose which is where I have a good amount of blackheads. I’m not sure if it’s not exfoliating because my skin is already prepped and clean or if it’s just not working.
MOISTURIZE MODE: For all I know, the moisturize mode is doing its job but I can’t tell because it’s virtually invisible. This mode is supposed to promote nutrient absorption and better circulation from the supersonic vibrations. It’s advised to do this mode with a serum or moisturizer so I tried this mode with both an HA serum and another time with moisturizer. I can only hope/trust it’s doing its job.
LIFT MODE: This mode is advertised to be used for fine lines and wrinkles. I do have a few fine lines between my brows and smile lines, but I don’t expect to see immediate results. Skin will be skin and I’m generally not worried about wrinkles anyway.
I was trying to follow the instructions as closely as possible but was confused on when I could apply my skincare. The manual says I can use the wand with a clean but damp or moisturized face and that once I’m done with the wand, I can then continue my skincare and apply toners. This is where my confusion comes in. I’ve always been taught that toners come first before serums and moisturizers. So if I’m using the wand with a moisturized face, why would I put toner on afterwards? I ended up trying the wand in multiple stages of my skincare, whether I was exfoliating with a cleanser gel, or using the moisturize mode with a serum or cream. When I used the cleanse mode with a moisturized face I was essentially scraping off the cream, so I felt the need to re-apply moisturizer for the next mode.
I’ll continue to give this product a chance, but so far I’m not seeing any noticeable changes in my skin or benefits other than a neat little massage. It’s certainly not hurting my routine, but it is making it longer. I’m left wondering if the supersonic vibrations really are promoting nutrient absorption or helping with fine lines. I hope that I see benefits in the long run and that 3 uses just isn’t enough to see changes yet.

I love the way this makes my face feel after using. So far I have focused mostly on the "cleansing" aka exfoliating mode and the lifting mode.
The exfoliating mode has already started cleansing my clogged pores after just a couple of uses. I am thinking with regular use, they should be completely gone shortly!
I haven't noticed a difference with the lifting mode but it does feel great. I feel like I've had a face massage when I'm done.
A few things I don't like have to do with the design-
The wand end is shaped so that I find it hard to work around my nose. I want to exfoliate those areas and it's hard to get into the creases (the area that needs it the most).
The other design issue I have is that the way the buttons are situated, I end up hitting them and changing the mode while I am moving it around my face. It seems a little awkward to me to grab it gingerly by the edges. I am sure that I will get accustomed to it eventually.
Overall, I like it and it has definitely become part of my daily routine.

This feels interesting on my skin- Sort of life vibration but a little different. I’ve used it with my moisturizer daily for a bit. I can’t really tell if it’s helped my skin absorb the moisturizer more but it does feel like it increases blood flow

This product - Vanity Planet's Exfoliating & Lifting Wand - is quite interesting and took some getting used to. I'm not accustomed to using "machines" on my face, so the buzzing and vibration took a while to feel comfortable with.
The wand is easy to use, has multiple functions depending on which setting you have it set to (...there are 3 ...) and which way your moving the wand across your face. Of the 3 settings - LIFTING, MOISTURIZING & CLEASING - I think I preferred the moisturizing the most. I use a very heavy moisturizing cream every day without fail for the past 50 years, and I found this setting on the wand had the best results for me. The buzzing and vibration didn't bother me too badly and I found that this setting helped my skin absorb the moisturizer faster and more effectively.
The CLEANSING mode helped to easily remove blackheads, which I liked. I don't have a lot of blackheads but the ones I DID HAVE were easily removed with the wand. Very easy and effortless.
The wand held a charge for about 3-4 uses, depending upon "how long" I used it each time.
The things I didn't like about the wand: The WARNING about NOT to use more than 1-2 times per week -AND- NOT to use longer than 6 minutes per treatment SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON "PAGE 1" - BOLDED & UNDERLINED! These are very important operational facts that every user should know immediately, and not buried on Page 11 in 2 tiny notes, which nothing drawing attention to them. Also, it says NOT to use near eyes and ears, yet pictures earlier in the booklet show it being used by the eyes.
So, I don't know if I'd recommend the product. Warnings were concerning, but Vanity Planet seemed to downplay their importance, evidenced by the placement of the warnings in the booklet.

The Vanity Planet Ultrasonic Scrubber is supposed to “recharge your skin with ultrasonic vibrations”. It has 3 modes - cleansing, moisturizing and lifting. The cleansing mode is for clearing away dead skin and dirt. The moisturizing mode is to enhance the absorption of skin care products. The lifting mode is to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I've used the ultrasonic scrubber consistently for a week and haven’t noticed any benefit from using it. The moisturizing mode just moves the moisturizer around, the cleansing mode had no effect at all. In lift mode, it makes a high pitched noise that hurts my ears and I didn’t notice any improvement to lines or wrinkles.
The User Guide booklet could use some improvement. The instrument itself is labeled “Cleansing”, "Moisturizing" and "Lifting". The booklet substitutes "Exfoliate” for "Cleansing". The “Common Issues” troubleshooting page says to refer to page 10 for charging instructions. The charging instructions are actually on page 13. The charging instructions are in the middle of the booklet when they should have been on the first page.
Not being familiar with this product and what it was supposed to do, I found the printed instructions for use difficult to follow. I finally gave up and found some YouTube videos for similar products.
The Vanity Planet Ultrasonic Scrubber and similar devices have many great reviews from satisfied users so it must work well for other people. I am certain that I’m using it correctly, but I haven’t seen any positive effects from using it. It did charge up in the stated time frame and I haven’t had to recharge it in the 7 days I’ve been using it. The instructions do say to recharge it before it loses power, but there is no way to tell how much charge remains.

Vanity planet exfoliating & lifting wand, has 3 setting lifting, cleaning/exfoliating & moisturizer . in order to charge must have a USB charging block that it does not come with only comes with the cord which I found inconvenient. To myself the quality of the plastic casing seemed cheap like it’s not gonna last to long & will break if you accidentally drop it. It is easy to use one button controls all 3 settings I did not see any blackheads lift at all so I used it on a family member who is a teen that breaks out & non of the blackheads came out disappointed. The cleaning/exfoliating I tried on myself & boyfriend that worked okay it did clean up the nose, chin & forehead a little & the moisturizing basically just vibrated serum & oils around face. All 3 setting felt exactly the same no difference you could feel a light micro current didn’t see a difference using its for about 3 weeks 3-4 times a week. I don’t know if my expectations were different then what it did but I feel highly disappointed. Even used it with a facial steamer to open up pores still nothing.

Game-Changing Skin Care Device

I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical about this. It looks odd, and I couldn't figure out how it was supposed to clean and moisturize my skin, but after only three days I'm seeing a difference. The cleansing mode cleared so much gunk out of my pores that I was both horrified and thrilled, but my favorite is the moisturizing mode. I use it at night while applying my night cream and after just three nights my skin is smoother and the fine lines are less noticeable. Even the rougher textured areas from sun damage show signs of improvement. It's easy to use and the slim profile is comfortable to hold. It does feel a little odd when you first use it, but my skin adjusted quickly. This will be a permanent part of my skin care routine.

I must say, I’m finding it a bit challenging to review this product. For the most part, this is a product whose results you cannot readily see… if at all.
There are 3 modes with this device: exfoliate, moisturize and lift. Those most important thing while using this device, in any mode, is that your skin needs to be moist/wet. This helps the device glide smoothly over your skin. The other important thing is to grasp both sides of the unit during use. There are thin metal plates on either side of the device that needs to remain in contact with your hand. Somehow, this completes the electronic frequency needed for this device to function as intended.
Personally, I find the exfoliate mode most (visibly) useful. I wash my face then dry it only enough to where water isn’t dripping down my face. Then, using it as instructed, I can actually see it cleaning the junk out of my pores. It’s almost as if it’s vibrating the pores clean. I also noticed that it gets rid of dry, flaking skin. I am actually impressed with the exfoliating mode. Now I feel that my face isn’t really clean unless I use this device.
As for the moisturize and lift modes, I am much less impressed. These 2 modes leave me feeling like most skin care products I’ve tried… just a gimmick. The moisturize mode claims to get lotions and serums deeper into your skin - not really something that you can see happening. The moisturizer is getting in to my skin the same way any other application does. At this time, I feel the same way about the lift mode… not really something you can see the effects of. I’ve only been using this device for less than a month, so perhaps more time is needed to see if this device can actually make my skin feel firmer and more lifted.
Overall, I can recommend this product for the exfoliate/cleansing mode only. It really does seem to get your skin cleaner. As for the other modes, maybe they can be seen as a possible added benefit.

This looks a bit intimidating when you take it out of the box, it is metal & looks almost like a razor blade. It has 3 modes, cleanse, lift & moisturize. I have sensitive skin & found the cleanse mode a bit irritating, my skin turned red & I had a few small pimples & they really got red. I don’t think I’d recommend this for someone with acne. I used only water to cleanse it so maybe a little cleanser would’ve helped. The lift mode moved very slowly, I didn’t notice much happening there. For the moisturize mode I used my night cream & it seemed to not irritate as much & surprisingly after all the steps my skin felt very smooth. When you put lotion on though it seems to take most of it off while using it, the end gets pretty nasty buts cleans easily, I used rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to sanitize it. . I guess time will tell after more usage if it helps with fine lines & radiance. It is very lightweight & easy to switch between modes, automatically shuts off after a few minutes. Maybe after a few uses it won’t bother me as much but I highly recommend plenty of cleanser or moisturizer when using !

I had huge doubts about this, expecting a scam item, but I was pleasantly wrong! After charging I followed the instructions. With a clean wet face, I turned on the wand and ran it up my face and all this grey schmootz was on the tip. After I did my entire face I rinsed and WOW...a nice smooth and fresh feel without the scrubbed burn of an exfoliator. I put my lotion on and used the other side of the wand to put the lotion deep into my skin. All day my face felt great and smooth. I waited a few days and did it again, and once again Excellent results. I did try this on my legs and got the same results- smooth and moisturized!
The only fault I can find is the sound- my cats kind of freak out and start rolling on the floor and meowing consistently until I turn it off.
And the price...not sure why it is so expensive but it is.

I have been using this product to exfoliate my skin for the past few weeks. I’ve never used anything like it so I was skeptical at first, and every time I turn it on it really freaks out my dogs which is so strange. But, aside from that, I’m pleased with the way that it operates, and it’s very simple to use. I unfortunately don’t use any kind of serum on my face so I’m not sure if it helps to increase that effectiveness. I chose this product to attempt to tighten my skin and smooth out the developing lines on my face, and it’s only been a few weeks but I haven’t seen any noticeable results yet. However, one thing that I do love is the fresh feeling my skin has after I finish exfoliating. It seems that it’s cleaning deeper and getting more of the yucky stuff out from inside my pores. I love the feeling that I have when my face is freshly cleaned, so even if I don’t see the results from skin tightening or wrinkle reduction that I’m hoping for I will still continue to use for the cleanliness alone.

In the short week of testing this Exfoliating & Lifting Wand out, I went from being very skeptical and unimpressed with this product, to being impressed and fairly optimistic that it works as claimed.
Initially I was unimpressed with this wand because when I first removed it from the box, it felt cheaply made and fragile. Then, after my first use of the wand, I didn't notice much of a difference and was a bit underwhelmed with it. Because I have slightly sensitive skin, I had only used it for about 2 minutes on my first try. The recommended usage is for 6 minutes or less, twice a week, so I thought 2 minutes would be a good starting point. With my second use, I decided to use it for the full 6 minutes and the results were surprisingly impressive. Using the "cleanse" (exfoliating) mode, I focused on my problem areas where clogged pores typically occur - my chin, nose, and forehead (T-zone). While there was a bit of visible residue on the sonic head of the wand afterwards, the more impressive part was how smooth my skin felt. With this noticeable difference immediately after a couple uses, I am now fairly won over with this product.
It's hard to describe the sensation of how the wand feels when in use, but there's no discomfort with the vibration-like feeling it emits. If you tilt the wand at different angles, there is a noticeable difference in how strong the sensation feels, which demonstrates why it's important to hold at the recommended angles for the various modes. As someone with slightly sensitive skin, I did not notice any adverse reactions to using this wand. I also made sure not to apply too much pressure when using - which I believe is probably most important in making sure you do not irritate your skin.
During my second use of the wand, I also tried out the moisturize and lifting modes. I did not notice any significant difference with using the moisturizing mode, and time will tell if the lifting mode provides any noticeable results. In my opinion, for the price, I think if this wand was meant for exfoliating only, it would still be worth the purchase.

I am always skeptical of lofty claims many skincare devices advertise so I go into trying these out not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised and somewhat impressed with my experience testing this out. I wouldn't say that it's a game changer by any means, but the gentle vibrations go appear to help with minor blackhead issues without causing any irritation. The option to use to help your serums to absorb better...I can't say that I noticed a real difference from just using my regular method of application but the gentle vibration along with the serum (or moisturizer) feels nice.
Ultimately...I feel like this is a decent choice to try if you're interested in trying out a skincare device but I wouldn't say it's life changing

This Ultrasonic Scrubber is straightforward to use. To turn this on or off, you need to press the power button for a few seconds. There are three different modes to choose from, exfoliate, moisturize and lift. You need to press the power button to select the mode you would like. It also comes with a micro USB cable to charge it.
To exfoliate your face you will use the spatula tip as per the picture in the User Guide. To moisturize and lift you will use the flat part of the spatula as per the picture in the User Guide.
Cleansing mode is used to exfoliate your skin reducing blackheads and your dead skin cells. Wash your face as you normally would, leaving it damp before using. Have a tissue handy as I needed to wipe the device clean a few times as I used this. You will be amazed at what comes out of your pores after your first few uses. After you turn the device on gently press it against your face and go in an upward motion. You don’t need to press hard when using this. I did the first time and it caused a lot of redness. Even pressing gently I get a bit of redness to my face and they say this is normal.
Moisturizing mode is for helping get your moisturizer deeper in your skin and giving your skin a much nicer glow. Use your usual moisturizer on your face and then put the device in moisturize mode. This mode helps to activate the skin cells and helps your moisturizer get deeper into your skin. Use the same method as with cleansing mode except use the back flat side of the spatula. My face is a lot less dry with using this device than applying moisturizer alone.
Lifting mode is supposed to help reduces wrinkles and fine lines. I have only used this for a short time and honestly have not noticed a difference yet. If it works as good as the other two modes, I hope to see a change soon.
It recommends using a dry tissue, soft cloth or towel after use if necessary, but if you find remaining debris you can use a slightly damp cloth to remove it. I honestly use a cotton round pad with a tiny bit of alcohol on it to clean off all the gunk from the spatula that has been on my face for sanitary reasons.
I can honestly say I have seen a change in my skin. It feels softer and looks brighter. This review is written after a short time of use, so I think that if the results I am seeing now continue there will be a big change in my skin to a more healthy look.

I find this item sort of strange and honestly I have used it as suggested but am not seeing much improvement. I have very sensitive skin and have tried all 3 settings. I seem to just feel like I got a facial massage and then my skin gets all red and irritated. I do use a serum before each application as suggested. The cleansing one for me is most irritating and that is what I really wanted to work the most. I have only had this a week and perhaps my skin will adjust after more time so I am not going to give up on it. I don't have blackheads or anything on my skin but did want to exfoliate some dead skin cells away. Nothing came off my face of that nature whatsoever using the Cleansing mode. You do have to be careful how you hold it as well because it will change modes if you're not vigilant where you push while in use. I find my power button doesn't turn it off and on properly either. I have to keep pressing around on it and then eventually it turns on. Oh one more thing, you need to have the correct power supply which is not provided - just the little USB cord is - because if you use a phone charger the manual states it may make the unit unable to charge any longer. I happened to have a 5v 550ma so am using that but it does call for a 5v 600ma. I believe the company has a new model that sits in its own cradle to charge which would be much more convenient. I went on the Vanity Planet website looking for the proper wattage charger but didn't see this particular item even offered, unless I just missed it.
At any rate I really can't recommend it yet by my own personal use but I'm sure others may find it quite a convenience. For the price I think just using a nice thick wash rag, soap, water and my toners, serums have worked for years and do as well as this. Tme will tell as I'll give it a few more tries and hopefully see an improvement with not as much irritation.

The Ultrasonic Scrubber is a tool that can be used when doing your skincare routine. For me, it took less than 1.5 to charge. However, it does mention it can take up to 2.5 hours to charge. The reason I chose to review this product is because of the type of skin I have, it is a must for me to use toner, a moisturizer, and do weekly facial scrubs to keep my skin looking healthy. There are three modes for use. Cleanse Mode which allows you to exfoliate your skin, the Moisturize Mode where you are able to apply your moisturizer and/or serums to use the wand with, and the Lift Mode, which is said to help remove the appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
My observations. First time trying out microcurrent technology. I could feel the microcurrent working in my skin and also did notice that blackheads eventually came to the surface that I didn't realize I had. The wand is very easy to clean and with the wand you are able to switch your routine up, depending on what works better for your skin type. For the record, I am a woman of color and the product worked for me. Will continue to use this in my routine. If I see that the few wrinkles I have noticeable disappear, I will provide updates in the comments section. Thank you for taking out the time to read the review.

I was excited to receive this item in hopes that it would exfoliate my face. I've used this device 6 times over 2 weeks and I can't really tell a difference in my skin. It feels really nice while you are using the wand on your face. I would say that it does help with cleaning, but exfoliating and lifting, I can't say that it does.
