Customers find value in the excellent picture quality and brightness of this 4K UHD Smart Ultra Short Throw Laser TV Home Theater Projector. Many appreciate its ease of use and short throw distance, which simplifies setup and placement. However, some users have noted that the user interface could be improved, and the fan noise may be noticeable to some. The projector's size is also a consideration for some customers.

Most disappointing purchase I remember

Decided it was going back in 30 min before the sun even went down (but not because of brightness):
1. You DO NOT clearly label a 4K Laser Projector as 4K and ONLY 4K when it in fact has a native 1080p resolution.
2. Auto-keystone correction should be a given for a pre joe for you spent $2600 on
3. It should be possible to get a square with manual keystone correction at that price (I tried for an hour….still not square)
4. A device connected to a 5g router with a gigabit connection shouldn’t take 5.5 minutes to download a 47Mb app (just download. Pre-install. Yeah, I double checked my internet)

Also the company Vava seems to be more interested in their second machine and not really updating this one any longer

I currently own an LG PF1000 UST LED DLP projector, it's about 7 years old but still works great. I know projector technology is moving fast so I decided to go with the Vava. I truly expected the Vava to blow my LG away, it did not, as a matter of fact, some aspects of the LG are far superior. The picture on the Vava is brighter and the picture is superior but not by much, certainly not 1k dollars better. A big problem I have noticed is the video quality of Roku/Shield/Firestick or other streaming devices vs the native apps on smart TV's. the picture quality difference is huge on every TV I've used. So it's important that I have a TV or Projector that has a wide range of picture adjustments or an Android OS that allows me to load native apps. This is where the Vava first failed me, all of the picture controls only make modest adjustments. I should be able to adjust my color, contrast and sharpness to be well beyond my preferences, the Vava doesn't do that. This is extremely important as I'm a sports fan and enjoy older shows/movies. The apps you can load are very limited. I loaded a few non subscription necessary apps, none of them worked well. Most were apps I've never head of but YouTube would not play at all. Didn't fool with it since I was going to return the projector. The speakers are amazing and loud however again they failed by not providing any individual bass and treble controls. Just the standard "movie", "sports", "normal auto settings. Overall, it's not worth the cost vs other projectors I've seen.

Like most i dont typically leave a review but i am very dissapointed in Vava and their 4k projector. Initially the projector was fantastic. I loved it and was very happy with my decision despite having read many who were ignored or neglected by vava when they clearly had faulty and defective units in the next gen chroma model. Despite this i decided their 4k model which was their flagship had been around long enough and any known issues or defects likely had already been corrected. Turns out this was very wrong. I advise anyone interested in this product to dig into reviews from owners after 12 or even 24 months. These units do not last. I bought my vava 4k 18 months ago. It developed a dead pixel about 2 months ago. I have gone back and forth with vava who putsources their customer service team on the otherside of the planet so all of their responses are between 1am and 2am. They tell you the warrant period is past and so there is nothing they can do. I inquired about repair options and here is the biggest issue of all. There is no one to repair it. They will humor your attempts and thank you for being a loyal customer but unfortunately nothing they will do reasonably to help support their product. If you read across multiple platforms this is far from an isolated incident. All pf the positive reviews from vava 4k owners are in the honeymoon phase of owning the projector. Unfortunately after the warranty period is up you can almost guarentee you will have an issue that ruins your positive experience and no one from Vava will be their to support you nor have they done anything to fix this problem and they still happily sell them to you. You should also beware the reason Vava projectors are not sold direclty on amazon is because they were banned for creating fake positive reviews to offset the negatives. My reomendation is to look for a more reputable company as today there are far more options than when i first bought.

Absolutely loved it, picture was great, colors were great…. for 3 years…. I now have a dead pixel and it doesn’t keep focus very well any longer. Additionally the software likes to freak out randomly causing the screen to jitter making watching anything unbearable. Support was no help at all because it’s out of warranty. Don’t buy based on their 25000 hour advertising, that’s for the bulb alone. There’s a lot that can apparently go bad and they will not help you with it.

Great image just do not expect it to last long. Within a couple years you'll receive dead pixels and will recieve no support for it.

Challenging Experience with UST and ALR Screen
Posted .

Regrettably, I must express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by VAVA regarding their Ultra Short Throw Projector and ALR Screen. Despite purchasing the product with high hopes, the projector arrived damaged, leading to a prolonged six-month resolution process that proved to be quite challenging to navigate. Communicating with the company felt like traversing a complex labyrinth. Furthermore, the conditions surrounding the 30-day money-back guarantee were not as straightforward as anticipated, requiring substantial effort and additional expenses for return shipping. This experience has been disappointing, and I will not be giving them my business moving forward. I encourage other customers to be aware of the difficulties working with their customer service team, and to consider alternatives that prioritize efficient and effective support.

Dead Pixels After Extended Use

Owned this projector for 3 years and it developed a dead/stuck white pixel on the screen that cannot be fixed. I contacted customer support and they won't do anything since it is out of warranty. They literally offered me a $15 coupon off a new $3k projector, what a joke.

Deceptive, read the title carefully

For those who aren't techies, read that title carefully. It says 4K first, which would make most stop reading and assume it's 4k. Next it says via upscaling, for those that don't understand tech, this means it is NOT 4K, it makes the picture look similar to 4K.
Avoid deceptive product.
