Very good camera. Doesn't connect to an app so if you need something you can see on your phone, this isn't it. But its super simple to use.

Baby Monitors have been a huge advancement in the Tech World for parents as it is a great way to keep an eye on your newborn to 4 year old with ease. This latest addition by VAVA to the baby monitor market has really been a great addition thus far!
PROS:
- The design of the camera and monitor are really great! Just clean, modern, and nothing too bulky whatsoever. I really like the look of these!
- A huge pro for me is that there is no app for this device. Everything about the video feed is a simple camera to monitor setup. I know having an app is nice for something’s, but when it comes to having a baby monitor in your home you just want that piece of mind that its a simple device without any internet needed.
- The setup was really simple and I think anyone can do it! Just make sure you tweak the settings to your liking and have the camera in a position that will work best for you.
- The monitor is really great! The 5 inch screen provides a big space to view and the resolution is crisp and clear. Plus it has these nice natural curves where it fits in your hand, or a kickstand for sitting on your night stand.
- The camera is also great! It has plenty of options to view different areas and zoom in if needed to add that extra flexibility to your camera setup!
- I also really like the speaker/microphone functionality. You can listen in to make sure your child is sleeping soundly or speak to them and say “go to bed!” If needed ha!
- Lastly the battery life and range of the monitor is fantastic. I went all over my house and yard with no drop in connection and can use the monitor all day without charging it.
CONS:
- My only downside would be it would be nice if the monitor had 1080i definition instead of 720p, but that being said I still like the video quality.
BOTTOM LINE:
- A baby monitor is something you are going to regularly use for years and years, and you don’t want to buy one that isn’t going to get the job down and need replacing. The VAVA baby monitor is a top of the line model that is really well made. It has great battery life, great camera quality, ability to talk to your child, and lots of great features. This will help give you that extra piece of mind on keeping an eye on your baby and you will not be disappointed!

With all the different monitors available, it can be difficult to choose what works best for your family. For a while, I was looking into 4K video monitors with an included phone app, thinking it will be so great to share cute sleeping photos of the baby directly from the baby monitor app. I realized what I really care about is having something that’s easy to use, powers on and connects quickly, has good audio so I can hear if my baby cries, and works from any end of my house. The VAVA 720p delivers on all the essentials.
I used this monitor to replace another, low-budget model, and the biggest difference I notice is the audio quality. With this monitor, the baby music playing in the background could be coming from the same room I’m in. With the other monitor, you hear broken static from music and when the baby cries, it’s sometimes broken audio as well and more difficult to tell if there’s an issue. I would recommend the VAVA baby monitor on audio quality alone.
It also has the range to leave the camera in one end of my house and have the monitor in the other end, or even in our backyard, without having to even open the antenna.
The battery life has been great, and it has a USB-C connector, which allows it to charge more quickly than micro-USB, and also more conveniently work with existing connector cables I have around the house for various products.
My one complaint is the power cable for the camera is on the shorter end. If you’re mounting the camera close to a wall outlet, you’ll be fine, but otherwise you may want to pickup a longer power cable. The power cable for the camera itself is a standard micro-USB cable, so finding a longer replacement wouldn’t be difficult if needed.
The video quality is fine. It’s exactly what I would expect out of a 720p camera. If you think having a high resolution video is important, it may be worth doing a side by side comparison with some 1080p or 4K cameras to determine if this 720p is the best for you.
For what it’s designed to be though, the VAVA baby monitor delivers, and I’m overall very satisfied.

Works great! So glad we went with Vava. The charge last a really long time, it works a good distance away so I can go in the backyard if need be, sound and clarity are perfect! Couldn’t ask for more. Screen is also a good size. Definitely a good buy!

Excellent video quality - crystal clear. Excellent range - we live in a 4 story town home, and it works on every floor as well as the patio with the camera on the top floor. Multiple cameras connect easily and it’s easy to toggle between the cameras on the monitor.

Easy to set up and a clear 720p video of our little one. I like the visual alerts with the LEDs when the baby starts making noise or crying. The night vision is also crystal clear. I also like not needing any internet for this to work. You turn it on and you're good.

We LOVE this monitor! We have a Nanit for general use but we needed a separate monitor for traveling and visiting grandma, and we are so happy that we went with the Vava. I feel kind of silly that we spent a bunc of money on the Nanit when I think the Vava does exactly what we need without fuss. We've had it for a little over 2 months now and it's worked great. 10/10 Recommend!

At 720p this monitor is not bad as higher resolution would be helpful only to zoom in since you can’t tell much difference on small screens such as this. It is bright and clear. The camera view is narrower than I expected. That can be fixed with an adapter you can order from them, but I wish it was included. Almost no delay in video. That is most likely due to the 720p resolution as it generates less data, turning the downside into a plus.
The sound was okay. We could hear my two-year-old granddaughter and she could hear us, but the audio was on the low-quality side. Maybe I’m too worried about a non-issue but I wanted to point it out.
Range is of essence to us as our house is bigger than average. Fortunately, the VAVA baby monitor worked in every room and even in the outdoor kitchen, which is detached from the house. Because the camera is PTZ and can automatically follow movement, it will be useful even when the baby is much older as it was for our toddler.
We loved the battery life. With USB-C, it charges quick, but it is very nice that it lasts the whole night and beyond with one charge without being plugged in. That is great because it gives you flexibility. If you need to move the baby temporarily to another room, you don’t have to look for a power outlet, which may not be available, or it doesn’t provide you a good angle for the camera.
Overall design is excellent. It feels and looks premium and has most if not all the features most parents/grandparents would like. It would be perfect if audio was as good as everything else but it is close enough.

Great baby monitor

This baby monitor is great. It has a very clear picture, good battery life and is very intuitive to use.
From my usage I wasn't able to get the 24 hours claimed but did get over 15hrs with good reception and low backlight. It's more than enough to cover a days usage and more than I expected. It charges through a USB-C port and comes with a charger.
The camera itself still uses a micro-USB which I'm assuming is just an older design. It's a little annoying to have 2 different ports but much better than a lot of other systems that use barrel plugs. The tilt/pan on the camera works smoothly and is nice for when you want to watch play in a whole room. The night vision works very well. We had the camera set up about 10' away from the slat front and side crib and I was very easily able to see our baby.
The monitor itself has a clear, nice large screen. It's easy to operate and has all the standard features you'd expect on a monitor. The talk feature works well and the 3 level zoom is convenient.
I would definitely recommend this camera system. It's well designed and works smoothly.

It works well but is extremely basic. No bells and whistles, which can be fine. However it could not mute the sound machine we have in our daughters bedroom like other monitors do so we returned it.

Our children are precious to us, and when they are infants, we are compelled to keep a watchful eye over them, while still training them to adapt to their own environment. That’s what makes baby monitors so special – they really answer the overall need. VAVA has fit the bill nicely with its entry into this space.
The first thing I noticed about the VAVA baby monitor was the simplistic naming approach. I love that there is no model number or technical/catchy moniker for the device. It’s just a baby monitor from VAVA. The packaging speaks to this approach in my opinion, as it gives one a sense that it was hand packed or personalized for the buyer. There is no tape or seals. It has a sleeve covering a lift-top box with a tab labeled ‘open’. It feels as if someone handed it off to me personally – nice touch! Nicely packaged inside are the camera, the monitor, charging cables, a quick start guide, and a full user guide. The unit is very well built, feeling solid in hand and having the right amount of heft giving a feeling of value. The camera has a micro-USB charging port, while the monitor has USB-C. The camera can of course be stood up or wall mounted. Set up was very simple, as the camera is already paired with the monitor.
Once set up, charged up, and powered on, it becomes very clear the VAVA baby monitor is top notch. The camera works superbly with full PTZ capabilities, and the large screen on the monitor is more than welcome. The controls on the monitor feel very good in hand and are very responsive. PTZ works smoothly and the camera provides some flexibility on subject distance due to its clarity. Setting the camera up several feet away from the baby still provided a quality picture. There is a temperature sensor, and it seems to be very accurate with respect to my thermostat sensors in the same room. You can also receive alerts for changes in temperature. The 2-way speaker system provides clear audio on both ends, and the monitor has ample volume to hear even the smallest of noise in the baby’s room. This thing has all the bases covered and covers them very well.
I can’t say enough about VAVA’s baby monitor. It is well built, elegant, and gets the job done. It works independently of internet connectivity, guaranteeing privacy, and has superb audio and video quality. It’s a can’t miss in my book!
