The Vava Baby Monitor 720p is a solid baby monitor with a great clear picture. Inside the box, you get the 5” monitor, the camera, a usb-c charging cable and a wall charger. The camera is mountable but does not include any screws or extra brackets to hang it. The camera does have a power cord and wall plug as well.
I’m going to jump right into the experience I had, as well as the quality of the product. As far as the camera quality goes, it’s really good. It does give a decent field of view, but it’s limited to how far down the camera can point. This is a problem especially if you point the camera at the crib and you aren’t able to see your baby because it won’t rotate down far enough. Although there is an option to buy an additional lens adapter which gives you a panoramic view… I had a big issue with this and the way the company went about this. When you’re about to have a baby and you go to buy a baby monitor, the last thing you have time to do is have to go out and buy additional parts just to get all the features out of the product you expected to be able to do out of the box…But that’s just my opinion.
Aside from the limited field of view, the camera does have a built-in 2-way talk feature, as well as good quality auto switching night vision. The piece that really shines is the monitor. The 5” display is crystal clear and very detailed especially only coming in at 720p. The colors are detailed and bright, and the night vision looks incredible. The 24hr battery life is great and actually works very well. It is equipped with a usb-c for fast charging, for when the battery does die. The monitor has everything you need to know right in the display, it can show you the temperature of the room, you can set it to auto wake up when your baby makes noise, and you can also use it as a 2-way talk. The 2-way talk function works for the most part, there were a few times that it wouldn’t work when I pushed the button but was only a few times at first.
Overall, I am impressed with the Vava baby monitor. The things I’m not impressed with is how the company decided to leave out the extra lens adapter, and the limited range of the included lens. With proper positioning I was able to get a good view of my baby in her crib and the image quality is fantastic. The 5” 720p display, you would think is 4k with how clear and detailed it is. The monitor’s battery also lasts a full 24hrs, plus has usc-c charging to get a faster charge. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new baby monitor.

The Vava baby monitor is a no-fuss, easy to use baby monitor for those who just want a simple plug and play option.
Right off the bat, setup is very simple. The camera is already synced with the monitor so when you plug in both devices, they pair. You should be up and running without too much fuss. The camera has to stay plugged in while the monitor does have a battery so you can unplug it and it will last up to 24 hours if you only use the audio and up to 10 hours with video. The camera uses a micro-USB port while the monitor uses USB-C port. I think the micro-USB is a little outdated but the camera really does not need the capabilities of USB-C.
The monitor itself is nice. It is 720P and the video quality is good. I was more impressed with the audio quality. It is clean without too much broken static even with crying. The speaker function is also nice as you can talk to your baby. It can be helpful with your toddlers. The audio quality from the camera was fair. The range of the device is advertised as up to 900 feet. I really did not have any problems with range in my apartment.
So all in all, this is a really simple baby monitor without all the frills. You don't need wifi capabilities, connection to the cloud, or an associated app. It is a good quality baby monitor and gets the job done.

I've tried a few video baby monitors so far and this is just barely the best one that I've tried so far.
Setup was super easy... if you aren't aiming to hang this higher up on a wall. Setting it up on a night stand or somewhere next to the crib is easy to do but any higher and you need an extension cord because the power cable they give you is SHORT. Like really short. The last camera monitor I had gave me probably 20 feet of power cable. I'm pretty sure this one is a whopping 6 footer. If I was to hang the camera in the same place as my other one, I would need to attach an extension cord hanging half way up the wall. I decided to just put it on the night stand next to the crib for now.
The monitor works pretty well. I would have liked to see dedicated buttons for volume control on the screen but it's only an extra 2 button presses to open the menu and then open volume control. A little annoying because it's a function we use often but it's not a deal break.
Quality is good enough. There's pretty much no delay in the picture/sound. I'm still baffled by the fact that a camera that's this expensive only has a 720p image. For how much this thing costs I would really expect a 1080p picture and screen. Cameras are cheap now a days and skimping on that only feels like it's padding the margins on their device than anything.
Sound quality also sounds a little weird. Not bad but tinny and easily distorted. It could just be that the camera is closer to the crib than the other monitor, though, so I can't discount this one for that. It's not terrible.
Bottom line, I was expecting more out of this product for the cost. I don't think it's a bad monitor at all, I just don't think it's worth the price. If you find it on a good sale or if the price comes down, it's a no brainer. As is, I still recommend it but just barely.

After using this baby monitor for about a week, I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it!
The overall picture quality is fantastic. The imaging is very clear despite the video being in the dark. Screen size is perfect! Sound quality was impressive as well. The receiver doesn't need to be turned up too high to be able to hear what the baby is doing. I also didn't notice any static sounding noise which I notice happens with a lot of monitors.
This monitor holds a good charge. I was able to run it constantly for about 24 hours or used it for 3 nights before I had to charge it. I did not have any issue with reception in my house.

This is a great monitor with PTZ

I've used several and this one is a very rare feature rich one. PTZ is hard to find in a baby monitor and the transmit range is very impressive.
The 5 inch screen on the monitor is top-notch - highly viewable image to make sure your baby is OK.
PTZ allows you to investigate further remotely.
The autopilot feature is a great way to auto follow and switch views all automatically. It's pretty neat.
The build quality is very nice and exactly what you'd expect from a top-tier baby monitor. The speaker is crisp enough to hear over the TV and the two-way radio feature is great for talking to your baby. Highly recommended.

All the Functions Needed and Top Quality

This system of camera and monitor pair up when plugged in since they arrive already paired. If you buy additional cameras there is a simple process to pair them. You may have up to 4 cameras paired. The camera and the monitor use a different power connection port so there is no chance to mix up power supplies. The camera stays plugged in but the monitor is made to be charged and removed from the charger so you can move it from room to room. This is a critical design point so that as you go through your day you will always have the ability to view the baby from wherever you go in the house. Tip of the cap to the design engineers. Both camera and monitor have a speaker and mic, so you can talk back and forth to your child. There is even a temperature sensor and it will display temperature too high or too low with displayed icons and beeps. Cameras also have night vision.
The monitor display is crystal clear plus you can zoom and pan the camera. The camera will physically move when you pan the camera. There is an optional wide angle lens option if you need, but my unit did not have one. The user guide is very well done and the camera and monitor have top-notch construction, very nice quality. This baby monitor has all the features needed, I do highly recommend this as a top quality and very functional system.

We got this as a nursery monitor as we got another model at the baby shower. Opening the box and this monitor has a good quality feel to it. Setup is a breeze and within a few minutes it was up and running. The screen, while a little small, is very clear. 780p is plenty of resolution. The sound is loud, which is good, as I am a little hard of hearing. It picks up echo sometimes so it can sound a little tinny sometimes, but otherwise it is good quality.
Overall this is a nice little moniter for a pretty fair price. Would absolutely recommend.

Great image quality! I use it when I babysit my nephew. The picture is clear and night vision and zoom function is clear. Impressed with the connectivity because it does not drop or cut out.
The cool thing about this camera is the flexibility of adding additional cameras Ability to add cameras.
Overall, I would highly recommend this one for anyone looking for a new baby monitor. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but the image quality is great and it’s overall a great deal for the money. Would highly recommend this one for anyone looking for a new baby monitor.

Perfect for watching the baby from a distance

The VAVA - Baby Monitor 720P 5" HD Display - White is the perfect device for monitoring my great grandson from a distance, around the home. The VAVA - Baby Monitor 720P 5" HD Display - White can be transported all over the home and maintain visual and audio of what the baby is doing. I am able to increase volume of the babies’ room to hear the slightest noise. The best features for me are the pan and tilt function used along with the zoom function. I am able to practically do a 360 degree view of the room and then zoom on any object to make sure there is nothing wrong while the baby is playing with his toys. The talk back function allows us to tell him “no” or “stop” when he is acting out. In my final analysis, the VAVA - Baby Monitor 720P 5" HD Display - White is a great pair of extra eyes and ears to watch my precious great grandson.

Efficient Monitoring Device

The VAVA Baby Monitor with the 5” 720P Display is a wonderful addition to any young child’s room. Upon unboxing, the VAVA monitor was up and running within 5 minutes.
The camera is automatically synced with the monitor device out of the box, so upon plugging in the camera and having it turned on with powering up the monitor unit the system pairs. The camera has a two pronged plug, larger in the horizontal plane. This makes for easy connection to a wall plug or traditional power strip without covering another outlet. The monitor unit will charge, with a battery life advertised at 24 hours. It will last unplugged overnight with no issue, which was my goal. The unit charges with a USB-C connection; with a cord and adapter included. Overall, a simple two piece device when it comes to power and charging.
The camera displays in 720P. This of course is not as clear an image as most devices at this point when it comes to TVs, phones, etc, but it is still wonderfully adequate for this purpose. I do not necessarily need to see every pore on my child; especially on a 5” monitor screen. The image is clean enough to distinctly see face, breathing, movement, or any discomfort. There are two zoom settings, which do decrease image quality as zoom, but allow for closer visualization if needed (I have yet to use this besides initially trialing the device). There is angle control both up and down and to the sides. The side view is more impressive that I had imagined, not entirely sure the exact window of view, but I would estimate it to be at least 230 degrees. There is up and down also, to maximize the viewing window based upon placement. Speaking to which, the cord is only about 3’ long, but the unit itself allows for sitting flat or wall mounting. It is recommended to keep the device between 1.5-2m from the target sight window, to better visualization in the dark. The night vision visualization once again, is wonderfully acceptable for this specific use. The distance of the unit is advertised to 900ft. I am able to have good connection throughout my townhome on either level. There is a two-way microphone/speaker on the device. This works well to hear crying, or other noises in the room. It also has the available microphone on the monitor unit to allow for voice comfort. The monitor also displays temperature, which if one does not have central air/heat, during the winter or summer months could provide reassurance that the room being monitored is at a comfortable and safe temperature. Monitor has a built-in stand along with a foldable antenna.
Overall, the VAVA baby monitor does not disappoint. It allows for more than adequate visualization of one’s child, ability to hear and speak, with being sleek with a minimal design. I have satisfied with this product, and believe given the range and battery life this is a wonderful choice.

The monitor itself is well built and seems secure given its private Bluetooth connection. Would be nice to add a zoom out feature as the default view is pretty close already making set up a little limited. Otherwise a great monitor for the price!

Just what I needed! The VAVA - Baby Monitor has been fun to use.
Easy setup via wifi, and the actual monitor itself is probable. You set up the main camera in your child's room, then you use the monitor in any other room. It works pretty far too.

Expecting Grandchild in next month or so... Even though the wife and I are grizzled veterans with raising our two kids to adulthood, she is VERY nervous (and excited, of course) about caring for grandchild. We set this up in what will be the babies room and she loves the idea... They didn't have this stuff 100 years ago when we had kids.
Set up was simple and quality is great.
End of the day, I would recommend it t a friend!

So I do like the VAVA Baby Monitor. But it has one issue i will get to shortly.
So out of the box, it's very very easy to set up.
It feels extremely well built, nothing cheap about this, unlike some other monitors we have used. The Screen is a good size at 5" and is clear so you can see what's going on at a glance.
It has a 2 way talk system so you can speak or soothe your little one if needed. The sound is decent but also very hollow. Reminds me of a lower-cost cellphone speaker. It could be better.
Battery life and range are the two best things about this monitor. Range wise I can move throughout my home and in my yard and have a rock solid connection. The range in this is great.
Battery life is great too if you dont wantr it plugged in. Lasting well over one full night before needing a charge is excellent. It also charges vias USB C which is handy as most of my devices use USB C for charging so fewer cables are needed when on the go. It also charges pretty quickly.
My main issue with this is the screen. WHile i said earlier it a very clear display and a good size the downfall is the resolution at 720p. Now i can understand why they have done this as it helps with power consumption for when using off the charger but it would have been better if it had a 1080p option for when plugged in. At 1080p you would have been able to zoom and get much better details of your little one. I'm kind of surprised this hadn't been thought of when this had been designed.
Overall it does what it says, Sound is shallow and hollow and 720p isn't the best but range and battery life are wonderful

This monitor is awful. It suddenly stopped working after about 1 year. It seems to be poor cabling as when you play around with the cable it sometimes comes back on. But not for long. I would not recommend - not worth the money.

I love this baby monitor, it is so much better than our old one. It is adjustable and allows you to see the entire room. It can run a whole day off of a charge. Most importantly, it allows me to communicate with our daughter, or even my wife, in the room with the camera via the two-way communication functionality. This is truly a "next-level" baby monitor.
