I like DVD DL because it's got double capacity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a whole lot better storage disc, double the size, 8.5 GB of regular DVD, 4.3 GB only. It's good if you are into creating a big data file storage.

Nothing better than Verbatim.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used other dvd discs, but none could beat Verbatim.

Optical media are nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No “coasters” yet, and compatible with each drive in which I have attempted to write to them — one Apple, one Asus, and one hp. They are a little bit more money than no-name discs, but my experience with Verbatim media overall has been positive. And according to scans of 10+ year old Verbatim DVDs using Nero DiscSpeed, the Verbatim media hold up better than other brands that I have tried over time. Just look for the ones that say “AZO” on the package; they are purportedly higher-quality blanks than even the Verbatim ones that do not have that marking.

Better results than expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Based on the price, I expected to generate at least one coaster with these but to my surprise I have yet to have a failed burn. I needed them to overcome an HP design flaw on their laptops. They simply are unable to boot from USB devices in UEFI mode thus I was unable to use my normal flash drive to repair the device. Since the latest iteration of Windows 10 x64 no longer fits on a SL disc (which I already had dozens of blanks) I needed to find a relatively inexpensive DL solution. This turned out to be it.

Double Memory
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer Dual Layer DVD for saved copies of my photo and video files because of twice the memory. I use less disc to store large files and save space in DVD albums. I prefer to wait until these discs go on sale because of the higher cost of purchasing. I quickly purchased these at the sale price of $23.99. They are durable and I have never had a corrupt disc after a successful burn. The are also great for large slide and video shows as they can hold several shows per disc.

An excellent choice to store your DVD home movies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WARNING: These discs may not work with DVD-R DL single format burners (DVD+R DL or multi-format is guaranteed to work). Let me start by saying I've used many Verbatim products in the past 22 years and they’ve never failed me. As a mentioned in the summary this product is a great choice for DVD format, however if you've already upgraded to Blu-Ray format I highly recommend purchasing this BB product instead: https://tinyurl.com/jayp8kw . Both products I stated above are excellent choices for either format, especially when on sale.

Works great, no defects out of 18 burned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We didn't have many options when we picked these up. They all work so far and the read and write were quick on all of our burners. Also, no compatibility issues whatsoever with our client's laptops where the finished (copied) DVDs end up being used. We also write DVDs with an external USB 3.0 DVD writer and that one could read and write these all day long too. Overall, we are very happy with these double layer DVDs and will continue to buy more when we run out of them.

Great DVD+R when you need space
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Verbatim - Double Layer DVD+R DL 8.5GB was a great choice for the job I needed it to do. As a photographer I take a lot of pictures and need to be able to store them safely and also share them with my clients. I didn't want to have to separate the pictures onto multiple DVD's and this was a great option to keep all the pictures together.

They seem to work.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to burn CDs & DVDs like a madman and always used Memorex. Now I only occasionally burn them and when I do, I can't find Memorex any more So I use the only name brand ones I can find at Best Buy, which is Verbatim. Having not used them for years like the Memorex, I can't vouch that they will last for years like the Memorex, so I can't quite give them 5 stars. But they seem to work for now. No coasters yet!

if you need a DL dvd these work fine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There really isn't much to say about it. They're DL DVDs and they work. Just like with any disk you're going to come across some bad ones (I haven't found any yet in this batch). My only complaint is I only needed 3 disks... and I sure wish my best buy had carried a 10 disk option instead of 20. That made it a pretty penny for 3 disks...

Dual Layers gets the job done!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a Windows update in Nov 2017 my 1 year old laptop stopped working. Wouldn't boot. No login. No nothing. Luckily I had another system with windows 10 on it. I was able to make an image disc from my desktop and used it to reimage my laptop. The windows image was about 6 gigs and a standard DVD would only support 4.5 gigs (or so). These Dual Layer (DL) she's support up to 8 gigs and handled the job with no problem.

When you need physical media
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Funny to see how much is going to the cloud but when you need actual physical media it’s nice to not have. The best part is that instead of having to wait 2 days or more to have this delivered I was able to get it that afternoon. Needed this for work and was able to get the job done that same day.

These are excellent DL-dvds, love Verbatim.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed some dl discs to back up some original media. I was stoked to see they had Verbatim instead of memorex. Not that they aren't decent, but I've always has stellar results with verbatim. Only reason I gave them average score was because 20 of them were more expensive than 25 recordable blurays. Can't really figure that one out. That's 8.5GB to 25GB, maybe the demand is high for those dl's cause I used to be able to get them at a few different places in town but now best buy is the only one to carry them. In my opinion it's worth the extra cash to be able to make an uncompressed backup and have it come out better than the original. If a disc is scratched to where it has errors, I've found a good solution can be burning a backup. The new disc will play fine. Then you have to destroy the backup if you rented it. But at least you got to watch you movie without all the tracking errors that can make a movie unwatchable, Sometimes if I get a bad one I'll have to resurface it multiple times, run a lens cleaner in drives/player and I can usually get a temp back up out of it. So reason for average rating was that the were pricey. Guess I better get a rewritable bd drive soon, I mean if I can buy 25GB discs for less and record on then seems pretty good to me. Not sure if current system will be getting that anytime soon, Been planning on using my vid card slot (slim) for a usb 3 + c card to hopefully run an external bd writter. It'll cost a bit and may be hard to find specific card. But I think It'd be worth it longrun. Have to get new software as well so I'd be around 3 bills I guess to be able to do what you want the blurays. And I guess save money buying blank bluray since their cheaper than dl-dvds. unless that was a fluke...

Needed bigger dvd capacity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a bigger capacity dvd to store a trial version of windows server 2019. I found verbatim dual layer dvds. The normal capacity for dvd is 4.7 gigabytes. I found dual layer dvds to hold up to 8.5 gigabytes. I burned windows server to this dvd and it worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

thankful to have found this product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the recommendation of a friend I purchased this product to make copies of my father's funeral which was approximately 1 1/2 hours in length. I was thankful that this item was in stock in my local store. Thank you Andrew for the recommendation!

DVD-R disks...no issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hadn’t purchased DVD-Rs in a while, so glad that Best Buy still had several options. The few that I’ve used so far worked well and I would expect any issues to be more related to my older DVD drive than the disks.

Works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sometimes you need a little more space than what a regular DVD-R can provide. I was downloading the ISO media to install the latest version of Windows 10 and lo and behold, it doesn't fit on a 4.7GB disc anymore! It's why I love Best Buy. I can just drive there and get the one item I need right away.

Works well with copy equipment.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looked for the best product at stores and on-line. Did a dry-run with Verbatim since I was already familiar with their other products. Video output was magnificent. It was a video that was made. First time and will be used later on as part of a history project. We will be using cd/dvd again and will be able to share the final product.

Increase your best burning with DVD+R DL that inha
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why would you settle for less when you want the best copy you can burn. With Verbatim you'll produce the best copy because it has a double layer that makes your copy look great, not like the single layer.

Great as video discs
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They're great as video discs, at 8.5 GB one will easly hold a two and a half hour video or movie. I have yet to try them for data storage, but if they perform just as well for data as they do for video, this would be my go to set of double layer DVDs
