Right out of the box, no matter how pristine or new a record was, it skipped... and skipped... and skipped... what the heck, you with think as a cheap 45 rpm player just for testing purposes this would have worked. But... NOPE and it was very disappointing. YES its cheap, but should be able to basically play a 45 rpm record. STAY AWAY.

My parents gave him some of their old records and he uses it every night and when his friends come over to work on their music. Absolute GREAT buy.

The speakers on the turntable are good quality. I like that it cane with multiple needles.
