It is excellent for that. as a bonus you get an am/fm radio. the fm quality is very good. the am quality is only fair. we only have a few am stations. I prefer only one am station in this area so am satisfied with it.

FAULTY "ON-OFF" SWITCH

Unfortunately, the "on-off" switch broke shortly after we purchased it. The Best Buy return process for this item was efficient & very easy to navigate.
