VHS is crap...but this program will at least save your memories and you can toss that antiquated 80’s technology!!

This is an extremely frustrating product. The first time I plugged it in I was able to capture video using the advanced mode. After that, I was unable to get the video to appear in the advanced mode, only the very limited "wizard" mode, and even that is hit-and-miss. I can't identify what the problem is, because the software behavior is inconsistent. I downloaded the latest version of the software, intending to delete the version from the included CD and do a fresh install. The program will not even uninstall correctly. I hope Best Buy will take a return without the original packaging. This is a waste of time and money.

Installed program did not recognize the product key. They don’t answer the phone in ANY country they have a number for. After several trying attempts they sent me a link to download the “correct” software. Don’t recommend it at all

Software was really easy to use, don't be worried if the preview doesn't match, it will be okay. Also, use your best computer and plug into the high speed USB port so you won't have sync issues

I had to call the company support several times and my ATT support several times to be able to set this up. There were several bugs in the software and the directions were not accurate. I still cannot see what I am downloading to the disc until I play it after VHS is transferred to DVD.

Don’t buy! It does not have very good software and there are other VHS converters that are less expensive and have better software. I sent it back but never received my refund. I made over 10 calls and emails spending over 3 hours with CSR ....I’m done with BestBuy!!!

The connectors didn't work with what I needed to connect the computer to in order to use. However since I had opened the package I didn't return it. Luckily I had also purchased the "Easy VHS to DVD 3" product as a back up and it worked beautifully. If someone is looking for this one and wants to buy it from me, hit me up! I'll give you an "open box" discount...

Worked excellent when I connected it to my computer and my Magnavox recorder/VCR , 2 way dubbing and transferred 43 tapes to digital, to preserve them

This was not user friendly at all and the cd that comes with to download isn’t the right one. I had to contact the manufacturer and they told me the ones Best Buy is selling have the wrong cd for downloading. If they know this, then why didn’t they contact Best Buy and recall them? Very disappointed!! I bought the Roxio to replace this one and it’s user friendly and works great!!

Trouble with the disk included with product, took a while to connect with customer service but got the download to work. Video transfers are inconsistent and troublesome, very frustrating editing together multiple tapes. Overall frustrating from start to use.

Missing a couple cables that I need...... it's old school

Not a good product. The software could not pickup my DVD writer on the computer so was unable to fully test the software. Unable to capture old home videos recorded.

This product worked OK. However, after updating Windows 11, the driver for the product prevents the Windows Security Memory Integrity check from being enabled. Company does not have an updated driver. See their "too bad, so sad, turn this security feature off" response by putting "vidbox vcd01 core isolation/memory integrity incompatibility" into your search engine.

Could not get this to work with Windows 11. Tried everything their support site suggested to no avail. Might work fine with Windows 10, but it was an experience in frustration for me.
