I have a lot of old video tapes taken with various format Camcorders dating back to 1985. So far, I have recorded all of my VHS and miniDV tapes. Now, I have to find an 8mm Camcorder on EBay to archive the last box of tapes. Time to save these precious memories!!

This was exactly what I was looking for! Was able to put family videos from years ago I was afraid of losing on dvds so I could share all the memories with others. Definitely worth it!

Works well with windows 10. Program is simple to use. Would recommend for anyone with windows 10

This gets the job done. Quality isn’t the best. Footage is pixelated. Didn’t notice any settings to trim at all. Basically hit play and rip your old movies. Must edit in other software. VHS quality isn’t good to begin with so maybe the pixelation won’t bother you. Overall, if you need to digitize old VHS movies, this will indeed get that done.

This is the first product like this I've used. I've been struggling with it. I did find after reading the online user manual twice that you should burn a DVD at slower speed. I thought that was the answer to my DVDs not playing on my DVD player. It worked once, then not the next time. Advanced mode is not really intuitive. USA customer support, which is nice, but they recommend you read the manual first. I called back after I read the manaul, then i got a little more help. The people at Best Buy couldn't help me much either, as this is an "outdated" thing to do. I am still hopeful I will be able to convert my over 30 VHS and 8mm tapes to DVD and save them on my PC before I give up! I would probably still recommend it to a friend if they were computer savvy since the only other choice is paying a much higher price to have tapes professionally transferred.

I seem to be technologically challenged, so this may be an easier product to use than I'm making it. I've still got a lot to learn, but I would recommend it, especially for those who catch on to this type thing quickly.

The file is saved as MPG output file and not viewable on other Windows 10 machine. The sound was okay.

Easy to use and understand and use. Video came out good.

Was able to digitize VHS tapes successfully. VHS was actually transferred from old 8mm video so it was hard to determine video quality since original was most likely poor quality

Bought this to convert old camcorder hi-8 tapes. Luckily I still had old camcorder. Couldn’t get program to work at first but customer service was great and walked me thru changing some of my computer settings which was holding it up. Was able to convert over 20 tapes and put on computer and then store on external hard drives. Definitely recommend this program.

I really enjoyed it quite frankly, it works on many composite consoles/devices, except for SEGA Genesis/32X. Overall though, when it comes to VHS, NES, SNES, PS2 or pretty much most composite devices, it works great!

Purchased a different brand to start my project of turning all my home videos of my children into media files but it just wouldn't work. I purchased this product and it was so easy to use that my project was done in no time. Now I have a way to watch my children growing up and they can share them with their children.

It was user friendly. I think the high pitch sound I'm hearing may be coming from the video tape itself and not this product. Not all tapes had that sound on it.

Fairly easy to set up and use. If vhs has a video issue the software won’t fix it. But basically happy with product

Having over 30 year old VHS tapes, the DVDs burned turned out legible. Does take time to copy each tape. Anywhere from 2 to 4 hours.

I was easily able to convert old VHS to DVD. I haven't figured out the editing software yet but basic conversions work. The only problem I've had is that some videos just stop recording part of the way through so you have to start over. Either way, it is much cheaper than paying to have it done.

Got this to transfer analog mini DV tapes to digital so I could put the videos on flash drives. I only used the basin operations but it worked flawlessly.

We found some old VHS tapes with family movies. Had to hunt down a VHS player, but once I got one I set it up and got them all converted to digital in no time. Easy to use, basically a capture. Got to share them with the family, some of whom had never seen some of them.
