Geek Squad has been called twice to install cameras, and to assist us with the technical aspects of our system, which was superb, and used much patience with technical challenged older consumers, we will recommend and use them anytime we need them, thank you.

The 2 men who came to my house were very knowledgeable and professional. They installed my effy doorbell and deadbolt lock THEN they taught me how to work them and how to get support of I need it in the future. I was very happy with the Geeks.

Had a few missteps with product availability. But once finally received and installed is working as expected. Tech was very patience during setup and explained as necessary.

Once I managed to schedule an appointment by going to the local store & paying for a new device, it was a breeze. I had a lot of problems going thru the toll-free Geek Squad telephone line & will never try it again. I was supposedly given 2 different appointments on 2 different days. I waited at home 2 days . No one showed. That is because the toll-free people apparently did not notify the local store. And the service was not free. The local store told me I would receive a refund for device. I received zero refund. But I'm happy to have the device installed. DO NOT BOTHER W/ THE TOLL-FREE GEEK SQUAD SUPPORT. GO BACK TO LOCAL STORE.

Having had an Arlo doorbell that was not able for me to setup I decided to go to Tapo

I really like this doorbell cam. After researching for a while, I decided to go with Arlo. I'm currently in the 3 month free trial period so I can use all the functions (except e911) without a subscription. I will subscribe after the trial as the prices are not very expensive at all. I was worried about the lil "power kit" it came with & recommendations for an electrician to install the kit but a friend easily installed the kit in the DB chime & used the angle mount it came with for the DB cam itself since the space where my old doorbell was was not quite wide enough. Even at a lil angle, it covers a very wide range. I can clearly see so much. I recently bought a wifi router n had to reset Arlo to change networks but it was really easy to do (i called Arlo support for help but it was me, not the DB cam. lol) I set up activity zones but I still get motion detection alerts outside of the zones. Not sure why there are activity zones then. I also like the e911, call a friend & siren options for when I'm outta town. I bought it on sale, then was able to price adjust it even lower. I'm very happy with my purchase. No for Geek Squad service, a non electrician friend installed & help me set it up. I canceled the service.

The Euphy doorbell was installed properly but it keeps going offline every couple of days. I have to physically detach the doorbell to reset it. I was told by the technician that there’s enough electricity to run the doorbell so I’m not sure what the problem is.

The smart bell install went fine but I still have to get it working correctly to make it useful. I called Ring as it was driving me nut with an alert every few minutes- they showed me how to narrow the range and sensitivity so it didnt alert with leaves blowing. However it still does about 20 times a day for no reason - I thought I had set to PEOPLE only but not the case. So you dont know when its a REAL. Then it takes ages to appear on my phone and its nowhere near automatic anywhere. More frustrating is the wifi mesh extender (Eero) I purchased at the the RIng install to get the Ring to work. Since install one Eero had to be moved to get closer to TV. Anf my bedroomTV which is right above another EERO at other end of house says (for first time) not enough internet speed to run Roku (and its fine everywhere else). And would have liked to have known how it connected to my main router - they disconnected the Spectrum TV one. And I was disappointed that I was charged an additional $49.99 for the EERO installation when the guys were already here and it took just a few mins. Oh well. So far the Ring and wifi upgrades are disappointing. My audio though is stupendous and I am delighted how that worked out. And I think Geek Squad is terrific and an important team to keep my condo operating.

I ordered 2 cameras, 2 solar panels, a Ring Doorbell & installation of everything. I live in OH, but bought the system for my Mom's house in FL. Installation was scheduled for the day after I arrived. The installers were right on time & very helpful in determining where all equipment should be installed to cover the most area. They answered all of the questions my sisters had about the system too. Everything is working perfectly.

I have 4 Ring `PRO` Doorbells and find them to be very useful. I also have 8 Ring Floodlight cams and 1 Spotlight Cam with a solar panel (Heads-up: the software is much more limited with the Spotlight Cams) The Ring Doorbell software can be too sensitive in some situations - even on the lower / `people only` settings. I'm notified too frequently of critters on the front porch of the sound of birds chirping, and the wind blowing. It would be a massive improvement if Ring would recognize family members (like Canary cameras) AND record for longer periods instead of short clips. There needs to be MORE OPTIONS for alerts to ignore, views, and ordinary sounds like birds. The audio quality can be loud, abrasive, and not true to the actual noise. Two Ring Doorbells installed in the garages are overly light- sensitive. They send me a notification every morning when the sun comes up and shines through the windows , even though I have closed blinds on the windows! Lastly, it would be nice if Ring offered a slimmer doorbell camera than the `Pro` (it is still too wide). Happily, Ring offers several colors of faceplates in the box . However, if Ring also offered an option to purchase a more attractive & better quality faceplate (such as brass), then all the better! If Amazon, the new owner of Ring, can fix these software issues and decrease the dimensions of the Ring Pro Doorbell, then the product would likely be superior in the marketplace.
