The couple arrived on time. They weren't specifically aware of what needed to be installed. They were pleasant. The husband wanted to know why we chose the wireless battery ring doorbell & rear camera. He said he was an electrician & could have easily run the wires to connect. (We ordered what was recommended by Best Buy after an in home visit. (note : there was a screwup in that the items did not get delivered by the installation date, so we had to go to 2 different Best Buy stores to pick up the items. Managers at both Vernon Hills & Gurnee were very helpful.) They did not know how to customize the viewing or it would have been 5.

The 2 men were very friendly. They worked effectively connecting the doorbell even with wire issues.

The agent was very knowledgeable and he spent considerable time hooking up a ring doorbell and security camera. He set everything up on the app on my phone and provided me all the info on the devices, setup, charging,etc. He did a great job!

Hello -- I wanted to leave the tech who showed up a good review and I thought that I had already done so. We consumers are drowning in a pummel of review requests! So I am not able to be as fresh and crisp in my review but the technician showed up and worked through the problems that I had in my DIY attempt to install the darned thing and he showed me a tip for removing the top plate. I would not have known to look for it, so I appreciated that a lot.

The Geek Squad Technicians arrived on time and installed my new Wired Ring Doorbell. They tested everything and made sure the apps on both my phone and my wife’s phone were working properly and installed the new piece that goes into the doorbell chime box inside the home. They were very knowledgeable and professional…we always use the Geek Squad to be sure that our new electronic devices and systems are installed properly. We have never been disappointed!

Joe was our Geek Squad service tech from the Gaithersburg, Maryland store. He was terrific - helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. He really helped us get the right Ring system for our house and making it work by recommending a better product to support it that fits with my house. Kudos and much thanks to Joe. Makes me glad that I use Best Buy and Geek Squad.

Love my new ring bell!!! Scott M and Roger installed it and did a great job! I always ask for Scott M and Roger whenever I need installation. They spend the time explaining how everything works and never rushing me if I need extra time to understand. I’m an older woman and sometimes it takes me a little longer to understand all this technology!!! I’m very happy with all my purchases from Best Buy and the services I have received! I plan to make all my future purchases from Best Buy! Thank You!!!

The Geek squad technician, Carlos, went above and beyond to complete the Ring doorbell installation. The purchased doorbell had a technical fault. It did not recognize our wi-fi network. He correctly identified a defective doorbell, and obtained and installed a replacement in the same visit. The installation was successful due to his extra effort.

So I'm more than capable of installing a video doorbell but I have to tell you that not having to worry about this is such a blessing. The guys show up and do the job, they have all the various tools one might need whereas I'd be running back and forth to hardware store for some obtuse bit and a dowel etc

When these guys first arrived, they just seemed like they were aggravated from the start ( Especially the older guy- Clint or Curtis or something similar to that was his name) didnt want to problem solve or fool with any issues. And I was thinking " isnt this why the two of you are here? Isnt this why I bought this service, because I couldnt figure this out, so I needed to pay ro have you help me??". As soon as the older man figured out that setting up my RING wasnt going to be a quick,5 minute rush through it quickly type thing, he was trying to find the quickest way to say why it wasnt going to work, or maybe my ceras were defective, so he could bail. He said that Best Buy overbooks them with appointments and they dont have enough time to do them all. Well, probably true, but I still needed them to focus on how to gelp me get it working. Since, after all, that was their job and the reason they were there lol. I suggested we call the RING customer service to help us all figure this out, and neither of them wanted to do that. But I did it anyway, because I figured if I didnt, they were about to leave and then id be stuck with still not having my RING set up after waiting for 6 weeks to get an appointment. Once we talked to RING, we figured out the issue, and then the younger guy was able to set up my cameras with Wifi. It worked out ok in the end, but just overall not the professsiinalism and service that I was expecting from Best Buy Geek Squad.

Excellent and knowledgeable installer who was extremely professional

First off, the installer was extremely late for this appointment, however he did phone to indicate he was running behind on time. He needed an additional 30 minutes, to which I was accommodating. He showed up an additional hour later. He then advised me not to install due to the limited view I would have due to the space available to mount the product. He then indicated he would phone it in for re-schedule. I wasn't aware that the installer didn't explain the circumstances of the non-installation to Bestbuy creating a slight problem. The customer service was poor in this instance.

The Geek squad installer Adam, contacted me 3 times to confirm and to inform me of his arrival time and date. He was on time and was very professional in doing his installation. After the install, he took time to help with setting up the Ring doorbell and flood camera in our app. He took time to cover all aspects in using our devices properly. And, he made sure that before he left, we understood how to operate and monitor both our devices. He is a true example of a quality employee that Best Buy has on their staff. A++++ for Adam in this install and customer care he provided to us.

Geek Squad installer was fast & efficient. When he left, everything was working perfectly & it still is.

The agent did a good job installing the ring device. However, the door bell chime was not working. Had to identify the problem myself.

My first apt person with the geek squad to install the ring was very nice. He offered me help with anything need and offered to answer any questions. He was wonderful. The 2nd person that came during the actual installation was not as helpful. He was in a hurry and made me feel like he had to rush out of there. I actually had to refer my questions to a family member. I wish I would have gotten the very first man again to hook it up!
