I purchased the ViewSonic - VX2478-SMHD 24" IPS LED QHD as a second monitor for my film transfer editing suite. I mounted it with a wall mount so I can swing it around for either computer setup. This monitor is so incredibly sharp! It has helped me tremendously in viewing with much greater detail than the all-in-one monitors that came with my setup. I am very impressed with its quality and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a second monitor.

I was looking for a monitor with improved resolution and performance that is reasonable in price. This monitor is clean looking and performance is great. I looked a long time comparing products and this monitor was hard to beat. Pairs easily with my Mac Mini. Achieves max resolution thru the HDMI port as well with my new 2018 MacBook Air (using a USB-C to HDMI adaptor rated for this).

Basically, this is the monitor for those who really liked Acer's G257HU, but want VESA mounting. This has everything I wanted: good response time, excellent IPS quality considering the price, a thin bezel and mount support. Like the Acer alternative, it has excellent out-of-the-box calibration, using default Windows and GPU color settings, colors pop and are vibrant. Its slightly smaller versus the Acer counterpart, however.

Perfect monitors for a dual screen work set-up. My wife needed a set-up similar to the one she has at work for when she is working for home and after looking for a while, decided on a pair of the ViewSonic VX2478's. They attached super easy via their VESA mounts on a Kanto dual arm desktop monitor mount. The 24" size is perfect for keeping both monitors full in view and the QHD resolution allows her to keep lots of information on both screens. She is super happy with the set-up and I scored massive Hubby Points!

Pleased with this monitor. I’m using it as a second monitor with my MacBook to review and edit documents. Set it up with an HDMI/USB-C cable (not included)—plug and play, no software downloads. I use this monitor in our home office. It provides adequate screen size for large spreadsheets and multi-tasking. The screen resolution is fantastic - provides great clarity.

Gift for my son for use with his laptop as a 2nd screen. He loves it. Great for coding and other homework at college. Also great for streaming video and TV in his downtime.

I intended to use this monitor for coding and QHD is just enough to get a good text viewing experience. while the refresh rate is lower than ideal, the response lag is nearly negligible. I have had the monitor for a month now and it has been pretty stable so far. The stand is good quality too, and supports the monitor very firmly.

The quality of this display is unrivaled at this resolution. Great for photo and video work at a very low price.

With the break out of the pandemic, I needed a second monitor for my home office and this one more than did the trick. It's resolution is exactly what I needed for video and graphic design work and I've even done some light weight gaming on it with no issues.

Easy to setup and adjust with intuitive controls. Mounts on wall just like I wanted with tv bracket ,not included. Not 4k but great value for the price

I would give this monitor 10 stars if possible. it is a ViewSonic and that says it all. Excellent colors and great speed for all your computing needs. Built in speakers are adequate for most needs. For me the 24" is the perfect size. I cannot understand why Best Buy does not carry ViewSonic monitors in the store, they would sell like hot cakes. I had to really search there web site to find this gem.

I needed a bigger view screen for my laptop. This one has a very clear picture with no reflection from surrounding light sources, ie. windows.

Great picture quality, flexible connections. Used this with my Macbook Pro with the mini displayport. Unfortunately it died after 5 months. In the middle of my work day, the screen just lost every other horizontal line and some coloring. Basically distorted. It's covered under warranty, but because it's 10 lbs, I need to pay for the shipping with is $50 for USPS. Bummer.

Bought this montior as a 2nd one for my home computer. Also needed a better quality monitor for photo editing. This unit works great on both counts--very happy with the ViewSonic quality when I edit my photos.

2k monitor, good for desktop and gaming. Price vs. quality is good

I started with purchasing a Samsung 24 inch curved monitor with a 4mms refresh rate and 1920x1080. Looked great in the store and was on sale. From the moment I turned it on, I knew it was mediocre at best. My excel spreads looked like it was written with a leaky pen and yes I did all the adjustments I could find. Went shopping again and chose the VIEWSONIC VX2478. What a beautiful, clear, crisp, responsive monitor. Yes, the pixels are bumped up but it's the resolution stats that are worth focusing on. No other monitor in the $270 price range comes close. This monitor cost me an additional $90 and worth every cent. This is a very good value for the quality of product. Oh, and the VIEWSONIC website is great. Downloaded drivers (although it was a plug and play install) and a full user's guide pdf. So glad I bought this monitor.
