Bought the refrigerator 5 years ago when we had our kitchen remodeled. 2 years ago we had to put in a new ice maker at a cost of over $400. Today we had to put in our second replacement ice maker at cost of over $400. We called Viking to see if there was anything they could do to help us out on this but they said no. 3 ice makers in 5 years. I suggest looking for another brand of refrigerator.

Stay far away from Viking appliances their service is a joke!!! I Purchased a refrigerator on 12/3/2019 from the first day I purchased it, it made a constant rattling noise figured it needed to settle in for a few days. Well still rattles. Called Viking on 01/16/2020 they told me Len's appliances will come out to service the refrigerator 3 days later no calls. I called Lens Appliances and they gave me an appointment for two and a half weeks out! Really? that's ridiculous. Tech comes out and looks over the refrigerator and told me there was a kinked Freon line someplace with in the walls of the refrigerator and there is nothing he can do for that. He told me wait a week so Viking would get the paper work and work it out with them. Waited a week called Viking and the rep said that the Techs report said the refrigerator is working as designed. That's not what the Tech told me and if Vikings working design consist of a constant rattle that can be heard in the living room over the dish washer running, they have a serious problem. Now Viking wants to send another Tech out to see the refrigerator and they will not be here for another week. Now I have to take another day off from work! This is totally out of control. Stay far away from Viking products the service is horrible. They should be replacing this refrigerator with a new one! Spend thousands of dollars for a refrigerator that needs repair from the day I purchased it.

Purchased from Pacific Sales January 2016. The refrigerator looks very high end, nice stainless steel that is easy to clean. Interior lighting is upscale design, shelves and bins seem tad better than other freestanding brands. Freezer is easy to access and keep clean. The right fruit bin in refrigerator gets ice build up in the left rear section and requires constant defrosting with a hair dryer. The ice machine is noisy (loud when making ice) and requires monitoring. Once the ice bin fills, it overflows and ice falls into the rear floor, not so easy to get to. We monitor it regularly so that it can be turned off when it fills up. The worst problem is that the door handle has never fit properly since installed. It finally came loose on the bottom and is now TAPED together. To have a repairman come out is costly and we are told that if the door stud is broken, it will require a new door. Worse, the doors are no longer made and not available. Time to get a strong epoxy to hold the handle on the door handle on. I can't say that is a wonderful thing for a $4K refrigerator that isn't even 5 years old!!!

The house we bought had this fridge, so I think it is only about 1.5 years old. The fridge just started leaking water, and the compressor is not even dusty when openned. Then a day later, the right door won't shut, leaving a 1 inch openning because the sealing mechism inside won't follow the track to close. This is probably the worst and most expensive fridge ever. Just switched to LG for 1/3 the price.

Nice appliances looks good operates well easy to Use

This was the worst refrigerator I have ever own. It never worked right from day one. No one knew how to repair it. It was a nightmare. Viking did nothing to help.

Makes loud noises and freezes the food towards the back due the the position of the vents. The drawers create humidity. Not worth the money.
