Bob did a great job on the installation of the Viper DS4+ Remote Start System at the Mansfield, OH location. It is easy to use and has been great on some of the colder mornings before heading to work. You can get upgrade remotes but I have been fine using the remote provided or using my original car remotes as well. Bob did a great job reviewing how to use both the include remote and how my original car remotes could work as well. Being a total tech support member gave me free installation as well.

This product exceeds beyond my expectations. I have purchased this specific remote start 3 times already and already looking to install it on my daughter’s car. Speaking of installation I didn’t have to lift one finger because of the free installation it comes with. Best Buy’s Expert tech service Makes it so you have nothing to worry about

This remote starter has been great. When I first used it, it would mess up my bluetooth audio in my car, but no issues since then and I’ve had the starter for a year now. Having it installed by Best Buy was also great and pretty quick. I just browsed around the store while the work was being done.

Came in one night, and a Best Buy clerk helped me find a Viper system that wouldn't require an annual subscription and would work with my car (2016 Ford Fusion). The earliest appt I could get was 3 or 4 weeks later. And, it went downhill from there. Ultimately, the installation tech did a great job. However, I recommend calling the location to verify your appt. Also, there was a debate about whether I should have purchased the items I wanted when I set up the appt versus buying them when I came in for the installation. I'm still trying to pair my Remote Start system with my phone. Doing so requires the "valet" button, and I don't have that particular remote handy. So, if you get the DS4+, take a minute and ask the tech to help you pair your phone.

Product is pretty straight forward. It should be noted that the T-Harness for your specific vehicle is not in the box (although the website indicates it is included). It will be selected by the tech during installation at no additional cost.

I installed the Viper DS4VB on my 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty 6.2L, and it has been a fantastic upgrade. It works seamlessly with the factory key fob, so I don’t have to carry any extra remotes — just lock the truck and it starts right up like it came from Ford that way. The performance is rock solid. Even with the bigger engine, the remote start works instantly and consistently. Being able to warm up the truck before heading out has made a huge difference, especially in cold Ohio mornings or when the cab’s been baking in the sun. The best part is how clean the integration is. No messy wiring, no glitches, and everything functions exactly the way you’d expect from the factory. Plus, it’s designed to support upgrades later if I want to add smartphone control for more range. If you own a Super Duty and want a reliable, factory-style remote start that just works, the Viper DS4VB is the way to go. Highly recommend.

I would give it 5 stars if the Smart start app Would actually turn ur vehicle from further then what it is at least 1 miles but it’s not :( Other then that it’s great also comes with a small control which has longer reach but you can’t tell if your car turned on or not. It’s good tho!!

The Viper SmartStart works as advertised. The install was excellent and workmanlike by Mark, the tech at BestBuy. The documentation was substandard requiring me to have Viper send additional information and to have to call and or go back to BestBuy. Viper's packaging claims to be able to start car from 'virtually anywhere' but this is not the whole truth because it implies that unit will work over the cellular telephone network. However, in order to do so, you have to spend another $200 nearly doubling the cost.

The product itself is great though not intuitive to use. Once you get used to the click order though it does what you want it to without fail.

This is an excellent remote starter with a fairly low price compared to other similar products. I purchased this from Best Buy and they installed it for free (as a TotalTech member). What I love about this the most is its simplicity. If you want just the ability to turn your car on and off, you can get this basic module. If you want to add some additional features later like a long range starter, you can simply buy the module and add it to this system. Another pleasant surprise was the ability to use my car’s factory smart keys to start the car, making the use of the additional fob optional (and quite frankly unnecessary). With my current set up which is just this basic model I can start my car by using the included fob, the mobile app (within Bluetooth range), or by using either of my two factory keys.

It's not as easy to use and I don't like how it makes the flashes on my car keep flashing until I get in and close the door. Other than that it's better than not having a remote control starter.Also I had a hard tome finding a best buy store that would install it. I had to go 2hours away when there is a bestbuy an halh hour from me also one an hour away. NOT COOL. I hated that long of a busy drive.

Definitely worth the price I got it on Black Friday does come with free install so I had Best Buy do it and they know what they are doing I haven’t had any issues with it, installed on my 02 Silverado diesel good for those winter days

Great remote starter. Simple and straightforward to use. I would definitely recommend buying it from BestBuy for the free installation. I shopped around and other shops were selling it for more and charging $100 to $200 for installation

This was a Christmas gift for my son in New Hampshire he absolutely loves it it was the best movie I spent all year I highly recommend it he put it on a 2023 Toyota Camry and it works flawlessly through the walls and a great distance I highly recommend this and to get it installed at Best buy that was painless and everything was online

It's a great product, especially at the Black Friday price of $199. The mobile app is a nice feature but the 150 feet range listed isn't even close. My guess is 50-80 feet. The key fob works good, but is only a 1-way, meaning you don't get noticed of a successful start. Also, the range is fairly limited when trying to remote start while in a certain buildings. I am considering upgrading the 7616v (1-way, 1/2 mile range) that came with this to the 7816v (2-way, 1 mile range) which I heard is amazing. Only problem is, that upgrade sets you back an additional $79. It's worth the buy for the price and the Best Buy installers are very professional and do an outstanding job.

Simple to use and very efficient. With two clicks on the remote, I can start my car and be nice and warm ( winter season). If you are looking for a simple and effective remote car starter….this is it. As a mother of a toddler, I can say this statter is amazing. I highly recommend it.

I purchased three of these remote starts for my kids for Christmas. My issues aren't with the remote start itself but the service performed by Best Buy. Car #1 Best Buy messed up the key fob and the car had to be taken to the dealership to get it fixed. Car #2 - installation went well and product works as it should. Car #3 - was on hold on the phone so long while sitting in the Best Buy parking lot trying to find out where I go with the car that the 15 minute time window elasped and Best Buy canceled the appointment. Then went inside and was told the appointment would have to be resechedule and then was told the remote purchased wasn't compatible with a Kia Optima and that it would be another $100 for a compatible one. When purchsing the original remote we used the guide in the Best Buy app and it said the Kia Optima was compatible. Ended up speaking to the store Manager and he adjusted the additional cost to $2.50 and set a new appointment. These are not the issues you want to encounter when you take a day off of work to get this done.

I am loving this remote starter. Wish I had added it years ago. It is so nice to warm up the vehicle in the winter before getting in the car. I did add a 2 way remote afterwards which seems to have better range, but also lets you know the car received the signal. In hindsight, I wish I had gotten the version that included two 2-way starters. I would have rated it a 5 stars otherwise. The install tech did a great job.

My new car did not have remote start so i did my research and decided on this device. I am not disappointed at all! Convenient and easy to use! I would definitely recommend to anyone. And the installation was awesome!
