Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the overall performance, security features, and keyless entry provided by the Non-Remote Start 1 Way Security System. However, some customers have noted concerns regarding the sensitivity and alarm volume of the system. Some customers have stated that the alarm is not sensitive enough, and it does not sound the vehicle horn. Overall, the security system provides great value, but it may not meet everyone's expectations.

    NO support for install......

Be aware that there is not any install support Be aware that there may be additional items needed not listed initially....such as relays, valet button, LED. I am very fond of the Viper system, so in my restoration of my 81 trans am I decided to purchase the 3105 for my car. I have over 30 years electronics, radio, avionics and computational system background. there are numerous places to purchase this item on line and no-one stated it was a dealer only item....FAIL! but no worries, I reviewed the instructions enclosed with my unit, and found several errors. 1. the unit comes preconnected to the starter interrupt relay that is not mentioned in the wiring diagram included....2. more than one connection point is with such small gage wire I knew immediately that a relay would be needed...however the diagram mentioned nothing about this....so I did some research and checking and found not only the Installation Guide but the door lock wiring guide....of which both are very useful but I still found conflicting information when it comes to conections of wires....page 5 in the installation manual, the ignition diagram has the starter kill relay and identifies the orange, green, and black....however says nothing about the new yellow wire till page 8. which is misleading...green and black should go between the starter and the ignition the yellow should be labeled constant + or + when ignition on etc.....the second half of page 5 has the parking light diagram.....your wires are too small gage to simply hook up to some light systems so a gain a relay should be used....however there is no mention of it or diagram; but you show one for the dome light circuitry.....The 3105 does not come with the valet switch, needed relays, nor the LED that is mentioned so many times throughout the guide. This is not rocket science and is a very good system, I am requesting some clarification please.

Misplaced trust - waste of money and time

My product does not work as advertised, or as my mechanic indicated it should. The Viper does not seem to be working properly. My car was hit hard enough to damage it at least three times and the sensor never tripped. The alarm also does not trigger when I open the rear passenger doors. If I open the front door when the alarm is set, I'm usually in the driver's seat and almost buckled by the time the alarm goes off. Seems like an enormous waste of money, not to mention the time I put in to having it installed. This alarm is not very loud. I was told I should be able to change the sensitivity settings on the alarm. However, I was not given the installation instructions after install, and no other manual other than "this button sets the alarm and this button turns it off." I'm utterly unimpressed, disappointed, and a little disgusted.

First its Not very loud. The process was annoying because the lack of employees and communication. Then after exactly 3 weeks the alarm stopped working and popped a bunch of fuses and left me and my wife and mother in law stranded in an intersection for hours until the tow truck arrived. Then best buy said it wasn't their fault.

Item works good, installation was terrible. Best Buy installed it, hanging wires, missing screws left on the floor. Not happy with the poor quality of installation!
