Started getting error 702, command sent to vehicle but vehicle did not respond. Contacted Viper in reference to this issue. Was told that it’s an installation issue and that I need to go back to the place it was installed. When it works it works, but get the error message more often than I should. When I go to Best Buy to talks to the installer, there is no one there, and appliances are stacked in front of the installation area. I was told I can come back at any time if I had any issues, but there never any one there to help. Maybe one day Best Buy will have an installation technician at work that can help with this issue.

Excellent product that does exactly what it is meant to do. I previously had the 3G version but had to replace it with this when 3G cell towers were phased out. Best Buy technicians at Commack did a thorough job and installed it within 20 mins.

I added this VSM550 to my DS4+ install to give me added options beyond the 1 button remote that came with the DS4+. The remote alone is limited to distance when using it in proximity to where your vehicle is located. With this VSM550 module and the free app, your distance is unlimited for lock/unlock & remote start. I also added this as an option if I choose to terminate my OnStar subscription. Viper does offer a "Free Basic" plan that only locks/unlocks & remote start using Bluetooth. I chose an "Annual' plan for the LTE features and the added discount over the monthly plan. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants the added security and control of your vehicle from anywhere right from your mobile device. As a bonus, there is an app for the Apple Watch that is similar to the iPhone app. In my use of the watch app, it appears it is not a standalone app that use the LTE service. It only works with the iPhone nearby. For the few YouTube videos I've seen demonstrating this SmartStart app on the watch, the person has had the iPhone close by. Since my Apple watch has LTE service, it would have been nice to use the features of the watch app version w/o having my iPhone close by.

Professionally installed by your Best Buy vehicle Geek Squad. Highly knowledgeable and professional was able to troubleshoot any issues. My technician knew exactly what to do throughout the entire installation process. Installation was seamless. Everything taken apart was put back together correctly. All wires tied professionally. As far as the system itself the remote start feature is extended from not just your key fob but also to your smartphone. Also added GPS feature allows you to know the location of your vehicle by pulling it up in the maps with the Viper app. Last but not least any alarm triggered on your vehicle you get alerts on your phone.

Great addition to update any older/classic car to have keyless entry and remote start from antwhere in the world with 4g. I can let my friends into the car to get stuff they left behind while im at work. Can also track the location of truck with gps when lending out vehicle

Highly recommended. I really like the convenience of remote starting and other convenience features of this unit. It’s internet based providing you unlimited range.

Works great, install was fast now I can start my car from anywhere Did not cost an arm and a leg to install and car was as clean as when I dropped it off

WORKS GOOD EXCEPT WHEN I PUT MY FEET ON THE BRAKE TO PUT IN GEAR TO DRIVE AFTER AUTO CRANKING IT CUTS OFF?

Added this to my Viper remote start and it has been amazing. Being able to start the car from anywhere is the only way to go. No more hassle with getting through concrete walls in the office building!

Got this with the viper alarm to be able to track the car and lock and unlock the car from my phone. Works great but getting set up is a little bit of a hassle. You do have to pay yearly for this to work. 1 yr ,2 yr , or 3 yr plans avail.

Not very happy at the moment. After installation by Best Buy it works sometimes but also sets off the cars panic alert (i.e., the car continously honks) or it only sets off the alert. I am scheduled to get it fixed but until it is done and proven to work properly I give it 3 stars.

Sometimes have to reboot my phone so it will connect.

My wife loves it! We live in Minnesota and when OnStar stopped covering our car model last year we didn't know what to do. She works inside of a school building far away from the car, so normal fobs don't work to start it. This product works so much faster to connect with the car and has been a wonderful update. So much that she doesn't want a new car because then she would have to switch back to the MyBuick app.

Very amazing. Convenient to use on the phone app which you can start/stop the engine, lock/unlock door and so on. Try it especially its best for the winter where you can start the engine without having to go to the car yourseld and start the engine.

It’s great but too expensive and Best Buy say free installation but it wasn’t

All questions were answered both my wife and myself had quite a few, and with no hesitation they both answered them to give us peace of mind. Please continue to provide the outstanding job you are doing.

The product is great and work good. Insulation was not that great had problem with the system because was not install right, had to tell the guy to call to get it to work right would not work with me phone. Finally got everything working right, they also program my remote which I thank them for.

I cant review the product because it isnt the one that i wanted. I purchased these items based on the recommendation of the sales associate after explaining what feature i wanted. Scheduled and arranged for my car to be there. After installation i was told that the items i bought weren't capable of doing what i wanted it to do so u wasted my time and am now waiting for a new installation date.
