I didn't have high expectations for this device. I was pleasantly surprised at its initial performance. Sadly, that pleasure was short-lived, as was the device itself. It failed at the most inopportune time. Caveat Emptor!

After 3 hours charging the battery barely lasted almost 10 minutes. This is the second in a series since the first one I purchased I had to return. It booted to a white screen...

Camera battery fully charged only last 45 second before reading 3/4 empty. The remote battery was DOA. Could not get the aap to sinc to camera.. Not worth the effort.

I bought this cameras for my kids, the batteries can’t hold much time it needed to recharge right away and I took to long to return it so I stack with it.

After returning first one for not working at all the second one needs returned also. Bought and took on a vacation trip abd battery lasted maybe 5 mins...

i needed a couple of small cameras to shoot B and C roll for a movie. Did not want to go to the expense of two more GoPro's. While this is not as fancy or robust, it shoots in 1080 which is what I needed.

Good product but not what I needed.I purchased the Vivitar - 4K Action Camera with Remote but ended up returning it because it was just to small for me to use.It worked great but just not big enough

Very poor quality recordings. Battery did not last more than 10 minutes at a time. Very dissapointed and returned as quick as possible.

Got this because of the price and lure of 4k. Battery doesn't last more than 15 min or less. Ended up buying gopros

It’s cheap but shaky as heck and not 4K quality. It overheated fast too and froze and battery would not hold a charge. I returned it

This combo set that includes the camera, mounts, and remote camera shutter seems like a great deal - until you actually review the video and photos it takes. Yes, they're 4k.. but they are so grainy and poor quality that you'd be better off using your flip phone from 2005 to record. I purchased this camera to record 3d printing timelapses, and could not get anything usable out of this.

This actually makes a really good rear view camera for my motorcycle with its' wifi connectivity to my smart phone.

Returned the first one because the memory card wouldn’t stay in the slot. This one died on day 2. Don’t waste your money.

Bought this for my 8yr old and he loves it. Anything he can strap it to and record. He does. Make sure to purchase a large sd card if he/she ends up being like my boy.

This camera is ok, it records but the video editing software is very hard to locate on their website. I still do not have it. Pay the money and go with the best.

We bought this for our son but it really scratched quickly. It needs more protection just not sure how. Works alright but not good quality pictures and videos

Took it skiing. Had it on helmet. It flashed on the runs, but the videos were not usable. Maybe I had a setting wrong but couldn't get it to work right.

When I got this camera, the battery was totally dead. I had to charge it up over night, and by the next morning the camera was functioning normally. However there were some problems. The camera would get into a strange state sometimes where the orange light would come on very faint, and nothing else. If I removed the battery for about a minute, then put it back, the camera would return to normal function. Sometimes when you attach, or disconnect the USB cable, the camera would get into the strange state where the orange light is faintly lite. I noticed that the date set into the camera was 2016. The remote battery was also totally dead too. My theory is that these cameras were made way back in 2016, and sat in a where house for some time before being delivered to Best Buy. I'm thinking I'll get a new battery, and a new battery for the remote, and things will be OK. The video is fairly good, and I like the many features. The video get's a bit noisy in dark light levels. But then I remember this is a 4K camera for $40.00. It's a good camera for a kid. The waterproof case is definitely a plus. For doing simple recording, thisw camera works well. Don't expect great performance in dim light levels. Again $40.00 camera. For the price, this camera works. A message to Vivitar. Don't put the batteries in these products until they are ready to ship. The self discharge will drain the batteries down, and render them useless if you leave them sitting in a where House for any length of time.

Purchased as a gift. Have not used will update review after it has been used. Before purchased I did research on it.

Bought this to use as a video game live streaming device but it’s mostly for live streaming apps on phones. Would only recommend for phone apps
