The remote is the most critical component to use this and it is terrible!!! Old school crappy IR remote, with batteries that run out fast and signal that doesn’t get to the unit ... even when pointed at it. This device would be AWESOME if it could be controlled Without the remote!

Though wired connectivity is good. The implementation of wireless connectivity leaves much to be desired. No google play services makes it impossible to watch VUDU, DisneyMovies Everywhere and Flixster movies which I use to stream as a result I returned the product.

Purchased and returned quickly thereafter! The functions on this unit were terrible, I couldn’t get it to switch to the HDMI and struggled to keep it in focus.

When it comes down to it, the most important thing for a projector to me is the picture. This projector nailed it as far as picture quality goes. It is rated at 500 lumens, but is substantially brighter than the LG PH550 or the Miroir M300A. It is also the best 720p image I have seen from a projector. Other attractive features with the Q3 Plus are the many different configuration options available in settings to control the image and sound and the ability to stream movies without having to use another device. The Q3 Plus accomplishes this by having and Android OS and you can download Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, etc. Oddly enough the Q6 doesnt have this functionality, and I dont think the Q38 does either. However....the fan is pretty loud and the remote is awful regarding the range, you have to be directly behind the machine for it to work. The pluses in this projector outweigh the negatives and its actually my favorite of the three I mentioned so far..

The image quality was better and brighter than I expected. Battery, USB/micro SD ports are definitely a good thing. I thought it was relatively quiet, but I could see how some people might find it loud. Overall construction, size, weight, portability is all quite good. Here's what I don't like: I can not get the wireless features to work at all. I tried pairing it through bluetooth and through my wifi and it won't hook up to any of my devices (tried iphone and android). It connects to the internet VERY slowly, too slowly to even use. And here is a MAJOR inconvenience: the receiver for the remote is in the back of the unit and I have a VERY difficult time getting it to trigger properly. Takes me a very long time to get the projector to respond to remote control commands even when the remote is pointed straight at the receiver. This is counter-intuitive to most projector designs, as most projectors are mounted behind the viewers. Typically, you point the remote at the front of the projector. If the unit is at the back of the room and against the wall, how am i supposed to use the remote?? With a new remote controller design, this thing would be much better. If the wifi/bluetooth doesn't work, don't advertise it! It's a decent projector without it.
