It had pretty good ratings and my old sound bar was hissing. Once I installed the Vizio sound bar, everything worked as expected. The ARC connection picked up the TV sound immediately and all sounded good. The next day, there was no sound coming from the sound bar. I powered the sound bar off and the TV off, that worked and the sound bar was working again. The second day, no sound was coming from the sound bar and no matter how many times I cycled the power, no sound. When I ran through the menu setting, the sound bar would announce what setting was currently active. But still no sound. I returned the sound bar for a refund.

Horrible Downgrade of the model it replaced!

I set it up and was blown away! Fast forward to spring 2021. It seems my beloved sound bar was replaced by a new model, with a few features the previous model lacked at nearly the same price. Big win right? WRONG! Got this Vizio V21 for $126 open box shipped free I wouldn’t buy it for $50. SOUND IS TERRIBLE. I’m sure most who have reviewed this have never heard the earlier version. It’s really night and day. Very disappointing. Sound is tinny, bass is much weaker and sub is easily stressed. Ended up grabbing the LG sn6y much fuller warmer sound nice bass. Performs similarly or better than the old vizio but at $100 more. However it adds a center channel hdmi arc and a display with words instead of confusing led dots.

Maybe that's the TV'S fault but I tried all settings and couldn't get it right. Solid build, music sounded good. Returned it.
