Smart TV too smart for us but a great TV anyway
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We wanted a small TV that we could move easily and the Vizio is perfect for our space. Since it is a Smart TV, there are many features that we haven't used yet. We would need a tech person to help us set up the features. It is a little hard to keep it set on the HDM1 antennae because it switches to another mode. We would really have liked a simpler TV, plug and play, but we liked the product overall.

Not bad, almost did everything I wanted.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size is good for our small camper. The sound and picture quality meets our needs. Loud enough to hear of the roof air. My only complain is that it doesn't seem to have a browser. So, if you are at a place with public wifi and you need to agree to the terms ...then you are SOL!

Didn't Last...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $139.99, I was highly pleased with the TV's performance. I had stable connections, the screen was clear, it worked well as a computer monitor, and the remote was responsive. I've had this TV for about a year and 9 months now and it no longer lives up to its initial performance. --First, when I came back from a 3-month trip this January, I turned on the TV and saw three thin discolored horizontal lines across the top of the screen. I was able to look past this flaw but now it seems new lines are forming. --Secondly, I don't know if the remote is becoming unresponsive or the TV is just getting slow in general, but now it seems like I have to press the buttons on the remote multiple times just to get a response (even with new batteries). --Lastly, two days ago, I started having issues with the Hulu app. The shows would stop multiple times, the resolution would drop significantly, a screen about "connection error" would appear and I've been prompted to reboot the TV on more than one occasion. I can't get through one episode without an issue now unless I'm using my laptop and the screen as a monitor. No other device on my network has connection issues. At this point, If exchanges are not covered under the two-year warranty I purchased, I will gladly spend a couple extra bucks on a better long-lasting TV.

Small TV, but smart beyond compare
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed with this little TV. I didn't realize it was smaller than what I currently had, but it is still way smarter than the last TV too. I really like the SmartCast system. Besides offering free TV channels (none are local to my area) which has some interesting programming. It has the ability to easily connect our Apple Phones and Ipads to it wirelessly, and control the TV from those devices. I am able to connect to my personal video servers through Plex, and I get their live TV to watch. Same issues as SmartCast for programming, but my Raspberry Pi Kodi couldn't do that at all. So I got apps that come with the TV, but have to live with all the apps on the TV, it doesn't let you remove them, but it did let me organize them, and I moved the apps I do have interest in using to the front of the list. But there are 250 different apps to review. It was easy to connect the TV to the internet, and then to my other services. The remote on this TV was much to my liking. I like having number pad, info and pic buttons. I am constantly using these buttons myself. Best Buy's website has mistakenly said this TV has bluetooth for headset access. It does not, Vizio's big TVs do, but this one doesnt The bluetooth it does have is for the remote control only, as it can zap the TV channels and inputs from other rooms. I also like that there is a phone app too to control the TV. I have an Amazon Echo home, and Alexa allows me to turn the TV on and off, adjust the volume and for the most part, open the SmartCast apps. Once in the apps though, Alexa isn't much help. It is most likely the app at that point not having Alexa controls. I have the TV Wall mounts, the tiny plastic legs are acceptable on this TV. I was also surprised that the TV acknowledges HDR videos in 1080p resolution. I wasn't expecting this to do that. The image is much clearer on HDR too. Surprisingly clearer too.

Excellent tv for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our old flat screen sizzled and popped and went dark so it was time to look for another. After looking online and becoming very confused at how to match and find the best price, we took a ride to Best Buy. This tv is an improvement over the last one at it is full HD instead of HD (better resolution) and it’s noticeable! The colors are much more vivid and can be adjusted easily. We get our signals for the channels “over the air” (rabbit ears) and we get the full 55+ channels we did with the old one with better reception. The only reason I didn’t choose 5 stars is the channel numbers at the top left of the screen pop up and are so small you have to be 5 feet away or closer to see them and I haven’t found any information as to if you can make them larger and easier to see or not.

Only two HDMI ports for available but that's okay. It's a smart tv with apps which I have used over the past few weeks since I have started using and watching tv. Quality is pretty good in terms of color, picture, brightness, etc...

It is a nice TV, but it is ANNOYING
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be frank and honest…I bought this TV due to it having some pretty nice features in the product description, and the VIZIO name has been around a good while. I did not consider it an inferior brand of television. I have had several Sony TVs over the years, and I have a large Samsung Smart TV, along with an INSIGNIA non-smart TV. I have another larger screen TV as well. I always like a good TV. I am amazed at the depth of annoyance this VIZIO is giving me. Yes, it is a nice design, looks like a good product, and has an excellent picture. However, since owning this TV, I have seen where this TV can be unresponsive at times, A couple of times where I try to turn the TV on, it does not come on, or it takes a moment before it does. Okay no biggie there, but the TV automatically turns on when I turn my Nintendo Switch on. Odd…. Then there are these constant updates. The updates always seem to come with the issue where I have to rejoin the Wi-Fi network, and select where my TV is located and “re-agree” to all those VIZIO and Google service agreements. I find this so odd and sooo annoying. I never thought TV updates would be a chore and a pain to viewing a TV. The Samsung TV I have does NOT do all these updates. It functions and behaves like a TV, not a Windows computer even though it is a smart TV. I never try to be overly critical about things, and I try to give fair, honest reviews. Yet this TV, this evening in the midst of my playing a video game, and at the wait screen decides to go “black screen”, and perform more updates after having to rejoin the Wi-Fi network again for like the 6th or 7th time since I had it. I got this TV around mid-late June, 2022. Why VIZIO do you have to continuously update the TV? And not only that, the remote was almost like when trying to navigate the directional button pad, it jumps all around the screen like someone is pressing or leaning on a button when I am not. I know how to take care of what I own, and electronic products is what I like (like most guys). I am not able to take the TV back at this point to Best Buy due to the time for return expiring now recently. I tried to give the TV a chance, and work through the issues, but this is leaving a very annoyed feeling with me as a customer. If you are reading this review VIZIO, please stop the updates. Either something does not work with that, or I have a defective software TV, or something else is going on.

Nice Size, Good Value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good picture and relatively easy set-up although I was connecting it to DirecTV and had to make a few adjustments. The audio is pretty mediocre but I knew that going in and it's relatively unimportant, given the room (kitchen) where this TV is placed.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV for my guest room in order to set up Roku. It is perfect for a small room and is something that you don't view all the time. The picture is nice and clear and it was easy to set up.
