poor excuse for a tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this so I could cut the cable and go with a streaming service. Never could get my phone to connect to it. Vizio sent out a repairman a week later to replace the bad board. TV worked for less than 24 hours then quit completely. They are sending me a new one. I am using my old RCA flat screen (which also has better sound quality) until the new one arrives. And paying another month of cable and for a streaming service I can't use yet. I was planning on saving money with this TV but so far it is costing me more money plus time and aggravation.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The lettering on the remote and the TV menu is tiny. If you have vision issues this TV is not for you. I ended up returning it because it was defective. I was unable to turn off the closed captioning.

Posted .Hello Charanto, Most devices control their own closed captioning of video content. If your having trouble turning the setting off in your television menu it could be because it is a setting that has been turned on in your device. Still Falls Short

I bought a new one thinking that in 4 years they must have improved the product. They didn't. The sound engine is still terrible and they still do not have any Broadcast TV guide. Also, the text on the information panel is so small I need to get up and get closer to the set to see what it says. Another complaint I have is the Setup tells you that you can Op-Out of being spied on by turning that off in the settings, but good luck finding it. I still have not located it.

Posted .Hello JD40, we do not have a Broadcast TV guide on our products anymore due to the fact that most cable/satellite providers have their own built in information bars and channel guides. Cheap Remote and No Users Manual

Cons: Cheapest remote I've ever seen - too lightweight and the tiniest buttons I've ever seen on ANYTHING. And seriously, how cheap does a company have to be to not put a paper Users Guide in with the TV? I would not recommend to anyone.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE

I was watching him play a video game when there was a pop and then the screen went dead with one small bright white circle of light with spider cracks . I called vizio and the woman said that was not covered under warranty. Then I called Beat Buy and they would not stand behind this piece of garbage they sold me either. Vizio is pathetic. I would give 0 stars or negative if it was an option.

Scratchy Sound

The app set up (Vcast) is a hassle compared to my other smart TVs (Insignia/Roku & Apple TV). Vcast requires an app on my tablet or phone if I want to watch something on the Vizio tv that wasn’t preloaded by the manufacturer. I have to open CBS on my phone & use Bluetooth to stream to my vizio tv. This is not necessary with my other two streaming TVs/devices.

Audio cuts out ever 2 min

This is happening on both my Apple TV and my Switch, so it's not the devices. I also tried new HDMI cables on both, and it's still happening. Factory reset did nothing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Not as good as I read.

Compared to that one the color on this is awful no matter what setting I use or adjustments I make. The smart tv portion is not the best I’ve used and ther isn’t a lot you can do besides use their apps or cast. I will still need my Roku.

Posted .Hello md8219, you do have access to the applications that are on the SmartCast input on you television. We are continually updating this input with more features (like Amazon Echo compatibility) and applications. In the meantime you can cast the thousands of Chromecast enabled devices from any mobile device. While this is going on because your TV is connected we are able to update your television as time goes on to improve your televisions features and performance.

Avoid this TV

It wouldn't delete channels, it randomly turned on and off, and the apps were buggy. I figured it was just a lemon and exchanged it. The second set failed after two weeks, so back it went. I bought a Samsung and it actually works.

Worst Tv ever!

This tv won’t stay connected to the internet and says there’s no internet to connect to when there is. It doesn’t connect to the smart cast ever and the sound is terrible. Don’t buy it. If I could take it back and get my money back I would. We bought it before we moved into our new house and got their room set up. Now I’m out of even more money because I’m throwing this tv away and getting another.

Vizio D series smart TV's have a design flaw
