The picture quality and audio are fine. Good, even. But, if you are using this for streaming of ANY kind via the built-in “apps.” STAY AWAY!! Early on, I was frustrated by the limited number of apps. What was described as “and many more,” on the box only meant that you can use chrome cast and (now) Apple play to stream from your phone/tablet. Applications I had subscribed to through my now damaged Sharp TV were not included, rendering the subscriptions useless. I was willing to suck it up, however, because the picture quality was better and I could patch things together to make it work. Then, the apps started crashing. And they crash frequently. I thought it was my internet or network setup, but after numerous troubleshooting attempts and a few hundred dollars spent on service calls, it has become clear that the issue is with the TV. Basically, it cannot connect and process with the speed needed to reasonably stream ANYTHING beyond (maybe) a 20-30 minute episode. Even when trying to cast from my phone, the TV would freeze and crash. Consequently, I am finding other options—purchasing a Roku or Fire stick that allows for a deeper app library and better streaming capabilities. STAY AWAY FROM THESE TV’s PS. We also have one at my workplace, with very similar issues.
