TV useless. Will not respond to remote. Remote is fine. Will work with other Vizio TVs. No remote will work with this TV after only 4 weeks. Of course its beyond the return period, so I'm stuck with this piece of junk. It doesn't have manual buttons to change the channels, so I'm stuck on channel 30 forever.

Nice tv for the price point. Good screen quality. Bought it for use outside the USA. A bit tricky to set up, but serves the purpose for wish it was purchased.

Ni Nanc, thanks for taking the time to review our product. This is an HD unit, we've got several other models in this size, and larger that are capable of Full HD (1080p) and UHD (2160p or 4K). While the picture quality on this model should look just fine- if you're a discerning viewer looking for a more cinematic experience, we'd recommend the bump up in resolution. If you'd like to discuss further, or get any tips on adjusting your picture quality, please let us know. We're available to talk at 1 (855) 833-3221. VIZIO

    Baal'Zebub is inside my TV

I have owned multiple Vizio TVs and, until this one, I have had nothing but praise for the company and used to recommend it to friends and strangers alike. That all went out the window after this model. I have had nothing but problems and frustrations in the year I've owned it. I have never loathed an intimate object until this vile device trundled into my life. Often have I daydreamed about driving to the country and perpetrating extreme transgressions against this abberation while Still by <redacted> Boys serenades me into catharsis, or at least therapeutically clearing away the demon seeds the abomination laid into my naked and fragile mind. Right out of the box there were problems. It would not connect to my WiFi. (Note: TV is not compatible with 5g.) At first it would not even list my 2.4g services, but it did show my neighbor's just fine. After resetting the TV several times (Note: You have to unplug/plug it to do so, just turning off the power does absolutely nothing.), it finally listed mine. However, even when listed, connecting to WiFi came with new issues: - It will get stuck on 'Obtaining IP'. I've left it going for hours with no connection. Network stable, no other device is affected, no interruption of network during that time. - WiFi connection will drop at random times. (Note: Stable network, no interruptions and no other device affected.) The majority of the time when this happens the SSID of my primary network has disappeared, but still lists the SSID of my secondary guest account and the rest of the neighborhood. So, I have to secure the guest account and connect to it, irking people who use it. Eventually, it will show back up on its own and I can free up the guest network and link back to primary. But, it can take days to reappear and no amounts of restarts will make it any faster. (Note: These disappearances can happen with any network I am connected to. Be it the guest account, the neighbor's WiFi, or my phone's hot spot.) TV does not turn off with remote or power button, I have to unplug it everytime. On a positive note, the remote and power button will turn on the TV after it is plugged back in. Screens are agonizingly slow to load. The main home screen can take over a minute to do so. This is also prevalent in apps as well, as they can take as long as it takes a turtle to complete a marathon, if they do actually open. Apps will freeze during play. I am not sure if this is an issue with the app or the TV. I suspect it is the later since it has happened with nearly every one I use. Be it Hulu, Pluto, Disney+, Paramount+, Prime or Netflix (especially Netflix). One of the main culprits for the freeze is when I am watching a series and it transitions from one episode to the next. The screen will turn grey and nothing, can't back out of the app, use home or preset channel buttons, and of course, power off. This takes unplug/plug to solve. (Note: May take more than one try.) Apps will crash periodically. There are two types of these: 1) In the middle of a show, the screen will go blank, and about a minute later you are back at the main screen. There is not a pattern to these crashes, they happen randomly on random apps at random times. 2) Some apps like Pluto will reset back to the app's home screen. In some instances, however, it will blink off, blink the home screen and go back to my show. This sequence takes a bit of time. Can only use pre-installed apps. No Showtime, HBO max, Spectrum TV, and many others. Vizio's solution is to use Chromecast or Airplay. What if I want to use my phone while watching? I didn't know that peripherals and accessories were required. Previous TV let me download apps that were not native to the system. Is it a money thing? A copyright issue? Programmer laziness? Or, just as spite towards the consumer? Auxiliaries like component audio/video, HDMI or anything using a phisical connection suffer problems, too. If no signal occurs when switching to that input, it is probably due to leaving them seated through power off/on. - To fix this, unseat the connection, leave the input setting the same, unplug power, reseat the connection, plug in the TV and turn it back on. The process can take several recycles of those steps, but it is the only way that I have found to work. - To avoid this, unplug all auxiliaries before powering cycling. As you can see from above, network issues application issues, performance issues, hardware issues and the fact that the user needs easy access to the power cord makes for a less than desirable product. Avoid this consumable. "Say no to Vizio."
