The setup was easy. The updates took some time, so while I waited I used the time to read the manual I downloaded from Vizio web site. The picture is great, and the TV is easy to use. It has a lot of great apps. I still hooked up my Roku because it was missing a few of my favorites.

I was surprised with the value that comes with this TV. The tv is responsive and has smart features and a good picture quality. The built in smart cast is really helpful and makes casting from my phone or computer easy. There is also free channels with some decent content that some might enjoy.

The Visio TV is a great fit for smaller rooms and provides great picture quality at 4k. The only drawback is it's OS. It has a smart OS that requires Wifi hookup and firmware updates. It would be best if the TV allowed you to set it up as a passive television like older models instead of going through the lengthy Smart TV setup process.

Bought this TV for my son mostly for gaming, it is so much more. We both enjoyed setting it up & it was quite easy. Great picture & clarity to go with his new Xbox. Good price too & the main customer, my 12-year old son, was quite pleased. Thanks!

Much better quality picture than I anticipated. Sound is good for a smaller TV. Was very easy to sync with my Alexa device. The Smartcast feature is great. The unit is sleek, lightweight, and fits great in a small room.

Not a lot to say about this TV; I wanted a 4k replacement for my parents' aging 37" 1080 Vizio. Decided to stay on brand so as not to confuse them with their cable remote setups. I looked at a demo model in store and bought it on sale.
This TV has a much more vivid picture and looks great on the HD channels. Upconverting the SD channels is hit or miss.
The biggest downside is the off angle viewing is not as good as the old model, but considering it's in a very small den it's not a worry. They face it head on.
There were several firmware updates upon the first power up so don't expect the setup to go quickly. It was however very easy.
Overall my parents are pleased with the purchase. It's not a standout, but at the price point it was a good buy.

I bought this tv to use as a computer monitor. I can finally get a full CAD drawing on the screen, big enough to actually see the electrical schematics. I can also have two full pages of code side by side, big enough to read them clearly for comparison. The tv has a computer setting that changes the display to work better as a monitor. It was easy to set up, and it's working great.

Very good picture quality, I bought for my daughter’s room..
I am not too fan about the control, I believe it could be a little more kid friendly.. she has problem using the control. But overall it’s a great small tv for a small room.

Perfect size for a spare room or bedroom. Vivid colors, quick smart tv features, and simple setup. Have it hooked up to a roku and it’s just fantastic. Vizio picture quality rivals the Sony at twice the price.

Im not all that much of a techy person so i cant fill you in with what specs i like but what i can appreciate is great quality images and sound! I love that it has apps integrated already so no need to buy chromecast just to play netflix or youtube videos . I recently got rid of cable bcs this guy had pluto tv integrated in it as well with the shows i temd to watxh. The only downside i would have to say is about how small the remote is bcs i constantly lose it but thats a personal issue either way. I bought mine online for instore pickup and it was an easy process went gave them my order # showed my id and he even loaded it ok into my car! Wondering if i should have even added the warranty but better safe than sorry down the line!

I'm not your usual electronic consumer, so everything looks good...Beautiful picture with full array HDR on this small TV. Lots of modern day loaded apps, angle view is clear for a small room (125 sf), internet access, sound is ok, lots of bells and whistles. Gaming functions aren't ghostly and responds well. I personally wasn't happy that I needed to "cast" apps that weren't available (spectrum app) and remote is horrible (too small and sensitive). I'm a mature (over 50) and would like TV viewing simple, one remote function...but if you're someone who likes the "bells and whistles", good price and great picture quality I would definitely recommend this Vizio.

Lots of bang for the buck

This TV offers LOTS of bang for the buck. I bought it simply as a ginormous 4K monitor for my laptop computer. It works very well for that. Here's what you need to know: The "computer" picture mode is too contrasty and blocks out darker grays. It's also a bit off-color. My settings are all manual: Backlight 100, brightness 52, contrast 44, color 36, tint 0, sharpness 0, color temp normal, black detail off, everything else default. These settings make black text on white background easier to read.
For those of you who want to do graphic editing, choose a different monitor. Although this set is capable of 10 bit color depth, I can find no way to customize a LUT with ColorMunki, which is not the end of the world. Also, off-perpendicular brightness and color are not particularly good.
For those of you who want a TV, you should know that the set comes loaded with AI that spies on your viewing habits and phones home via your WiFi. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to turn off third-party sharing, but Vizio still wants your data. Oh, and once you give it your WiFi password, there's no way to tell it to forget it. You have to change the password on your hub, then change the password on the TV to match it, and then change the hub password back and don't tell the TV. Annoying.
Overall, 5 stars for value, but docked one star mostly for privacy reasons but also because you do get what you pay for. It's simply not a 5-star monitor.

Looked everywhere for a highly rated TV to fit in my wife's confound Entertainment Center that has doors and is only 36 inches wide inside. This TV fit perfectly at 35.5 inches wide. (The screen is 39.5 in.
TV has many great features including Smart Cast which has the menu items for Hulu, Amazon, and others.
Easy to set up. As the manual does not come with the TV, I suggest you go online to the Best Buy description of this TV and download the manual as this is a great help to set up the different functions.

First off this TV's picture is great, I didn't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. First straight out of the box it took over 30 minutes for it to do all the firmware updates before any picture could be seen. It took so long the Geek squad barely had time to setup the remote before they were told by their boss to move on to the next appointment. Second it doesn't have YouTube as one of the apps which is strange as Chromecast is built in. This mean I either need to use my Blu-ray player or cast from my phone to watch any YouTube videos; a very silly oversight.

Bought this television as a gift for my parents to replace a significantly older product that was showing it’s age. The cost was a major factor along with the perfect physical size. There was a similar 1080p model that was only thirty bucks less, so the 4K version was an obvious choice.
The smart tv aspect was very much a secondary nature. For my parents, it made the best sense due to their limited technical prowess.
All in all a great television, at a great price, with solid features.

This is the 2nd Vizio I have owned. For the price you are getting an excellent value in terms of picture quality, audio and ease of use. I really like the Watch Free feature where you can get hundreds of Free Air TV channels. There even is a Binge Channel where you can stream the same sitcom or other genre constantly which is something I like. Navigating the Smart TV features with the remote is a bit cumbersome but it is something I can live with when compared to the positive attributes of this Television. Forgot to mention-there Customer Service is excellent. You can speak to a live person almost anytime who know how to solve problems and answer questions.

Because the difference between HDTV and 4K UHDTV is almost imperceptible at a screen size below 50 inches, I’ve only been able two find two manufacturers of 40-inch UHDTVs, Samsung and Vizio. I bought a Samsung when they were the only one. I won’t go into all the reasons I found it unsatisfactory, but I struggled with it for over a year before I found this Vizio. The difference has been night-and-day; for picture quality and (especially!) trouble-free operation, this Vizio can’t be beat. If your needs, like mine, require a “small” 40-inch UHDTV, look no further!
