So we had one of the older Vizio sound bars with surround speaker. We’ve had connection issues with that one at times too. I’ve been eyeing this one up for a couple of years now. We finally found a good balance from soundbar and surround sound. Which took a while. However we still might return it. So the surround sound is a lot better on this system. However the bass is absolutely non existent compared to our older Vizio surround system. Our older one we had the bass on low and sometimes it was still tooo loud. This one we have the bass turned all the way up and it’s just not exisistent. We do have connection issues at times with the new one too. But the one thing that is very irritating is how different every movie or show is in volume. You are constantly having to adjust the volume when you change what you are watching. We don’t know if we will keep it. We bought this on sale for 350. This is definitely not worth the $500 it normally is.

I rarely find a reason to write a review but this is one of those rare occasions, this soundbar is just fantastic.
Build Quality - A+
Versatility - A+
Sound Quality - S Tier
if you want better sound from a soundbar, its going to cost 3x as much and at that point, you're just better off building a proper home theater setup.

Never thought I'd be able to get a true Atmos experience for $350, but this thing proved otherwise. Incredibly easy to set up, and this thing gives my living room a true cinema experience. Music, movies, sports, this thing can immerse you in the full experience no matter the content. If I have to dig and try to find a con, I suppose it would be that a majority of the top of the bar is a fabric mesh that can be difficult to clean dust off of.

Its awesome so far!!! I agree with other reviewers about how it's the best soundbar under 500. I got it on Black Friday for 350! You may have read Rtings review about latency issue, but I haven't really noticed that at all in content, except for sometimes the sync gets messed up, but restarting the soundbar fixes that issue. It's not perfect, but for the price it's really good for Dolby Atmos, just don't expect the best Dolby Atmos.

This sound bar is very good value, however they are a few problems such as the sound bar not turning on with the tv even when connected through eARC. Other than that, the sound is incredible for the price and has great sound stage for dolby atmos for a budget atmos setup.

Not the best. Quality is a little downside when compared to Bose or other high-level brands. But looking at the price this is the best true Dolby you can buy in the market. If it is your first home theater with the new technology you will love it. I am a musician so I might be little picky when it comes to sound quality lol. Good to go. buy it.

Little difference compared to old 2.1 (SB3621n)

1. For the last three years, I have had a VIZIO 2.1 Sound Bar SB3621n-F8M with Wireless Subwoofer Bluetooth 100dB SPL DTS Virtual X.
A few weeks ago, I decided to upgrade to this M-series 5.1.2 model.
2. I was expecting amazing sound, super bass, and crystal-clear treble. As it turned out, my expectations were in vain.
Honestly, I didn't feel much difference compared to my old 2.1 model. The difference was felt only when the Surround Dual function on the M-Series was turned on. If you turn off the two additional/rear speakers on the 5.1.2 model, there is no difference between the 2.1 and 5.1.2 models. In both cases, I used an HDMI cable (eARC).
Also, I tried to compare both soundbars by using the Bluetooth connection. So, turned on the DolbyAtmos on my phone and played some music in Ultra HD format. It's unbelievable, but there was no difference between the 5.1.2 and 2.1 models!!! (Note: the small rear speakers on the 5.1.2 model were Off).
So I ask myself - if there is no difference, then why pay more? Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Was waiting on this for a while as the delays kept it out of stores for a while. Set up out of the box was super easy, as I was replacing an existing vizio 5.1 sound system it was pretty much a simple swap. eArc is one of the best additions as it finally plays well with my TV after some tinkering. To mirror what other reviews here have said with the Sony x900; it was finicky at the start. Not connecting through the TV. Playing sound for a few seconds then stopping. It seems to have stopped being problematic though which is good.
Mids on the bar are great, and it has some punch but I feel like there isn’t too much bass in the vocals. They don’t seem as punchy as I’d like them to be. It’s super easy to adjust things though and thankfully this remote is pretty clear in identifying what setting you are adjusting. I do wish it showed you a readout on the remote and not just light indicators on the sound bar itself, but at least it’s simple enough to tell
What Higher or lower sound like.
Having tested a few 4K movies through a dedicated player, the up-firing speakers work well but maybe not as defined as I hoped. Perhaps with more adjusting they’ll sound a little better. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Overall this is a really good sound bar system. One of the best, especially at the 300 to 350 dollar price range. Ultimately I decided to go for the just the M series 5.1 soundbar system because it was considerably cheaper but sounded effectively the same.

I think these are great. The price seems like a lot if you’re not used to purchasing surround sound but it’s definitely worth.extremely easy to set up
