Most commercials are done in surround sound also! Overall simple to hook up and operating great I bought an open box and the Vizio Company worked with me to make sure of my satisfaction!

Great sound but connection problems

I have an older 32” Vizio Tv and I cannot get the HDMI connection to work. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with the customer support. They were great but the only thing that would work is using the optical connector. Not ideal but it is how it works.

Posted .Hello DPTX, thank you for taking time to leave us some feedback. As long as the connections are set properly, the sound bar should work with any TV. A commonly missed step when connecting a sound bar to the TV is the ARC ports. We will want to make sure that the HDMI cord is connected to the ARC ports on the back of both the sound bar and the TV. For testing, I would also recommend to set the TV's Digital Audio out setting (Menu > Audio > Digital Audio Out) to PCM. And don't forget to run a speaker test from the sound bar remote after checking those connections and making sure the sound bar is set to the correct input. Very surprised by the sound

Tested the system with ready player one and 6 underground was amazed it was better than a budget receiver with 5.1 I would buy this again for my other tv's

Super simple setup with the wireless sub already paired to the soundbar. Links great with my Vizio TV and has no problem with Dolby Vision pass through from Apple TV

I use it in my apartment living room and the sound quality is amazing. It gets disconnected with my streaming box (Xfinity) sometimes. I am not sure if its a Vizio or Xfinity issue.

I bought this for easy installation and good good. It does sound quite good but very bad set-up. The app for setting up fails. I have been setting up complex Dolby atmos sound system for a while now, but this challenged me due to very bad interface.

Very loud with almost no distortion even at full volume. Can't believe so much bass comes from a 6 1/2" woofer. Definitely worth the money!

Bar is 36" wide, so you really won't get left/right separation, the 2 Atmos speakers are both close to the middle, and I never really heard sound "Bouncing" from the ceiling. Did have great center channel clarity for voices and really good bass. Exchanged for LG SK9Y Atmos Soundbar which is way better for "surround sound" experience. My opinion though.

Maybe not the strongest Dolby atmos overhead sound isn’t the greatest but I doubt you can get better without drilling holes into your ceiling. If you can get it on sale (I got it for $300), pull the trigger!

I had several Vizio soundbars in the past and always worked well in my home. But after setting up the device, it caused major issues with my tv. The hdmi in/tv pass through was horrible. My tv would constantly lose audio signal. Volume controls would randomly stop working within the first 5 minutes of using the soundbar. The wireless subwoofer had a difficult time staying connected as well. When the soundbar was working properly, the sound quality was not impressive at all. I could not hear the benefits from the Dolby Atmos setting. Eventually I returned the soundar and ended up getting a LG soundbar that was way better!

Everything was simple to set up and for the most part works great, however the sound output gets funky from time to time, sounding robotic/digitized. If I skip back 10 seconds on my DVR, it seems to solve the issue for a time. Not the worst thing in the world all things considered, but definitely annoying.
