We returned soundbar since we all ready had surround sound. Geek Squad who installed TV, said we'd have better quality with our surround sound.

I was surprised at the sound produced for the price of the unit. There is some room for improvement, but you would have to spend a lot more.

Overall, I am very disappointed with this soundbar system. As many other reviews have stated, this system has issues. It turns on randomly, there are times in which dialogue cannot be heard but the sound effects can. There are times in which it will refuse to play any sound at all and the only fix seems to be a hard reset. There's very little worse in a soundbar setup than having it turn itself off during a movie for no reason. I originally thought it might have been doing this because of the power-save mode, but even with this turned off, the device would just stop working at random. The app is also an absolute joke. I only was able to connect my phone to it once. Same with my girlfriend's phone. The faux "Dolby Atmos" is laughable at best. It doesn't even begin to present sound the way that Atmos is intended. When working, however, the sound overall is quite good with solid, clean deep levels coming from the bass, and okay centers/midrange. This is why I am giving this system two stars. When it functions correctly, this is a great system for the price--but more often than not it simply refused to cooperate, which is extremely disappointing. Not worth the headache.

The speaker quality is pretty good, and $300 for an Atmos system is nearly impossible to find otherwise, but Vizio's software ruined this product for me. Connecting to my 2020 Samsung TV through e-ARC was beyond frustrating, as the soundbar would consistently disconnect when changing inputs. Say you're on input 1 and you want to switch to your game console, which is in input 4. If you just switch to input 4, you won't have sound. So, you need to switch to input 4, making the soundbar disconnect, then switch to input 3, where the soundbar is plugged in, wait for it to reconnect, and finally switch to input 4 to have sound. Every single time. It works fine through Optical, but then you're missing out on Atmos which was the whole reason for choosing the Vizio to begin with. Again, the sound quality is good and the product seems to be well built, but switching inputs is frustrating, and sync issues would arise when playing Atmos content, where the sound would be half a second or so off from the image. Not really what you want when watching a 4k movie with Dolby Atmos. Better to spend the same money on a non-Atmos bar that doesn't have connection issued.

Can get loud without distortion and does have great surround sound.
