This unit has great sound, when it works. Sometimes you have to hold down the auto input button on the top of the soundbar to get it to start working again. Vizio support has told me this is common and considered normal. The soundbar display takes a little bit to get used to, but most of the time I just use it for volume control reference and it works great for that. Got this under $300 and for what it compares to it does a good job.

I got this on sale for under 300 and I really like the sound. Download the smartcast app on your phone to control settings more easily, remote can get weird to control. If your tv sits down low the bar could block a little bit of the screen. But those are tiny issues, love the value on this beast.

I love this sound bar. I use it with my LG c9. Howevern it has some connectivity issues with the lG oled in general. some times whej you pause a movie or something, the sound bar gets disconnected and when you resume the movie, tvs internal speaker gets turned on. So I have to kanually go and reselect the sound bar which is frustrating at times. Anyways, the sound quality and surround system is amazing. Specially with the dolby atmos Netflix movies.

Originally bought the vizio 5.1 surround v51-h6, primarily for my Nintendo Switch. After realizing that my Nintendo wasn't outputting in true 5.1 surround, I did a lot of researching to find out that the Nintendo switch has to be plugged directly into the sound bar using HDMI to get 5.1 surround, I returned the v51-h6, because it only has 1 HDMI ARC, and bought the 5.1.2 Atmos bar. Even though it's more than I wanted to spend, I am more than happy with this bar. The sound is infinetly better, and I get true 5.1 surround out of my switch. I recommend anyone who has the extra money to just fork it out and buy this bar, because the sound difference can't really even be compared. In a game like Fortnight I used to wear 200 dollar headphones to play, I no longer have to wear headphones anymore. This is an amazingly good sounding soundbar that I am more than happy with!!! The remote is terrible, but with apps like smartcast, you don't even need it. Best buy made the return and exchange quick and easy, thanks!!

Honestly this is probably a 5 based on what I paid. Caught it on sale for black Friday in July, so price was very low however the rate of 4 would be at full value. First the good - 1. Price, buy far the lowest cost Atmos sound bar. 2. This was by far the easiest multi speaker set up I have done. Power cord, cabling and wiring was it, everything connected and working with pairing or adjusting. 3. The overall volume level is more than sufficient for a medium size room, I was a little concerned since there is no speaker power listed however it fill the room at theater sound level at mid volume. 4. The look and feel of the system are good, the first impression of the sub is that its small however it does created enough bass for almost every instance. 5. The overall surround function work very well in DTS and DD 5.1 are very accurate. As for the Dolby 5.1.2 I will have to say the effect is noticeable and natural however that being said I have a less than ideal room for 5.1.2 reproduction. No the bad - 1. The sound takes some adjustment. The sub level and surround levels out of the box was way to high and had to be adjust. Note if you need to do this get the app as it difficult to do with the remote. 2. There is something in the decode for the sub that seem to be a little off in the sometimes thing like low tone voices seem to be there, almost like a to high crossover in stereo terms. 3. No visual display, sorry Vizio the little dots just don't cut it. Some type display or even a numeric reference in the app or remote display would be nice. 4. The ARC channel takes longer to turn it on than other SBs that I have had. Other would be a couple of second delay were this one is maybe 5, All that being said I would recommend this product if you in the market for a $500 sound bar, you might get a better 5.1 system however the ability for Atmos and virtual DTS:X would sway me. And since I caught it on sale it far better than anything else I could get at that price.

I went to Best buy looking to buy a surround system I saw there and it was gone. I was very disappointed but I was able to order it online and they would ship it to me but that got me looking around and asking questions. The question eventually became "what is Atmos?" Atmos is essentially sound from above. It's (probably at the moment) the latest version of Dolby. So when Atmos is supported (it is supported in Netflix and xbox) you could hear things like a helicopter above you. The surround I wanted did not support Atmos and this one did. So I figure what the heck is here I'll try it. If I don't like it I can return it. So I bought the display. Saved me $150. And I love it. This is the cheapest Atmos ready anything I could find at the time. I now have two. My main setup is from the Xbox to the soundbar to a LG nano tv and we love it. The subwoofer seems small but it doesn't sound small. It shakes the apartment. 5 stars. Also 5 stars to the People at best buy Port Richey, FL

Pretty amazing system for its time. Produces better sound that you'd expect. My den sounded like a mini-movie theatre. Having problem generating sound with my pass trough settings on my TCL TV though. Visio support blames TCL. Haven't called TCL yet. Bottom line? If you don't have a TCL TV, this system is a bargain for really good sound.

I'm a little over a month in on my use of this Soundbar and it had its ups and downs. Yes, it does sound a LOT better than the dinky TV speakers, for sure, but the initial set up problems and the random problems I've been having over the past month prevent me from giving a higher score. When it works, it works well, and the wireless Subwoofer makes my neighbors shake in their seats (you can actually turn each surround feature up or down, including the Subwoofer, with the included remote with LCD screen). With NFL games, the stadium sounds come from behind and the filed sounds and commentary come from the front, which gives you a really immersive experience. Same goes for movies, as long as you don't try to get direct sound from your 4K Blu-Ray player to this Soundbar to get the best possible Atmos experience. Many TV's do not pass through Dolby Atmos sound, but this Soundbar does not like switching between sources, so that's a problem. I think at some point I just have to bite the bullet and buy a higher end Surround Sound system. This Soundbar also randomly turns off or turns sound down to a whisper by itself, which can get very annoying. Fix the bugs and you have very nice sound for the price, but until then it remains underwhelming.

Sound is fantastic. Setup was confusing; I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work with my tv (Sony Bravia XBR-65X850D) until I realized through testing it actually WAS working with my TV despite what my TV was telling me... I bought the system thinking the sub and satellites were wireless; turns out the sub is wireless, but the satellites are wired to the sub. All three are intended to sit behind the viewer.

Hands down the best Dolby Atmos soundbar for less than $1000! Every other Atmos soundbar you see is $750 on up. Now this may not be the best of the best, but it's so close you would never know it's sub $250. Use it with my PS5 for surround sound and have no complaints.

Sounds great and easy set up. Only issue I have is sometimes the sound does cut out and I have to reboot the soundbar or switch inputs to get it to work. The wired speakers that go to the subwoofer sound great but the wire is very long and makes it difficult to find a spot to put them without being in the way or seen. All in all can't be beat for the price and makes your movie and gaming experience way better!

This surround sound is great! I wanted to get something that would give me a good sound in my living room when watching sports or movies. The sub on this baby is awesome!! We owned another Vizio sound bar, in which we were very happy with. So we move it to our bedroom and now can enjoy both rooms full of action. The small speakers that it comes with sometimes doesn’t give you a full surround sound quality.

I have had this speaker for about 3 weeks now and honestly it fills up the room with rich surround sound. I have watched several movies on bluray on my Xbox one S few with Dolby Atmos /DTS HD and it sounded great for all of them. When i brought this in the first thing my 60yr old parents noticed was the clarity in speech. Thoroughly impressed us from the moment it was connected to TV. setup was really easy as necessary cables are provided in the box and the pre-paired subwoofer connected in a jiff to produce couch vibrating sound. Surround speakers though small are quite effective. When i first saw the Dolby atmos enabled Amaze trailer it was like thr was actual rain falling in the room. I would give 6 out of 5 for the sound clarity and surround effect these speakers are capable of. Coming to Atmos and the upfiring speakers...Initially i thought im not hearing the height sounds bcoz of my ceiling. My ceiling is made of drywall (about 8 feet high recommended ceiling height is 7-12feet) and after some research found that is good enough to reflect sound back. Once I found this, all I did for 2 day was change the position of the sound bar keeping it different positions hoping to hear the height sounds from any of the dolby atmos videos. Is there anyone else who has this feature working and hear decent atmos height sounds? Even though i enjoy the surround system I'm thinking of returning the system as it is kind of a let down to be promised of atmos but listening to Dolby digital plus in the end :( My current setup is Xbox One S to HDMI IN of sound bar , HDMI ARC of sound bar to HDMI ARC of TV. Tried playing Atmos content from Bluray and streaming apps like Netflix/Vudu. I do see the green light glowing in the soundbar. Just dont feel the height speakers ever.

I gave this system 4 stars because from a sound performance standpoint, this is an incredible sounding soundbar. Lots of clarity, solid bass and immersive surround sound. However, I wasn't impressed with the connectivity to the app. I couldn't get it to connect anyway I tried. It kept dropping the wifi as well. If it wasn't for that issue, this would be a 5 star system. Especially for the price.

Let me start by saying for the money this sound bar blew my mind. In my opinion from a sound prospective Vizio provides an exceptional product. The rear speakers sound better than my 2022 Samsung base rear speakers. Unfortunately, after 2 years I can no longer get any sound out of the bar. The lights turn on and it appears to respond to the remote but is not providing any sound. Prior to this issue I have always found it’s difficult get the inputs to work successfully. I often have to set it up manually. At one point I could not get the sound bar to turn off. Even with the glitches I enjoyed this sound bar I’m just disappointed it broke.

Upgraded to this system from a 2.1 surround sound, and so far happy with the quality. It was not too difficult to install and we get a much deeper sound. It has Dolby Atmos and a wireless subwoofer which is what I was looking for. I'm sure the higher priced model would provide better quality sound, but this unit met my price range while providing me with the surround sound quality I was looking for.

The sound is awesome, as for as the control I wish it had an illuminated display, to see it at night would had been very useful when trying to scroll thru the menu options. Wish it had more hdmi inputs to control more CEC devices to pass their But it deserve a five star for sound, but could of had more improvements So I would give is 4.9 because it is hard to 5.1.2 at this price, worth every penny

Cheapest atmos soundbar in the market. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is that each time I turn on tv or playstation I have to manually choose ARC it won't play from the start even though its on ARC. Also when switching sources on your tv it won't pick up the new source you need to turn off the soundbar turn it on and then switch to ARC again... kinda annoying but audio is amazing...

The set up is straightforward. The style is nice. The sound was amazing as Atmos rains down from above in addition to front and back. It fills the room. Please understand that the content must include Dolby Atmos sound. Several videos on VUDU have titles that include Dolby Atmos sound. I paid US$299.00 on My Best Buy Rewards Appreciation Day 2019.
