This is great if you want to experience Dolby Atoms without paying a lot. I use this with my Xbox and it’s pretty amazing! My only issue is the remote that comes with it drains the batteries within days. I’m pretty much forced to use my phone to control the device, but it doesn’t affect sound quality at all.

This products sounds amazing enough when it’s working (at this price point) for me to buy it and return it twice. It was a snap to set and not bad to look at. However, it cuts out for several seconds every minute or two watching Atmos content in my 2019 TCL TV and periodically locks up completely, requiring a hard restart. I updated firmware to see no change. I assumed I got a lemon the first time and exchanged for a new unit, but I got exactly the same behavior. Looking around online, it’s clear this is a well documented issue that Vizio hasn’t chosen to fix yet. Not wanting to wait for them to get around to including a fix in a firmware update someday maybe, I had to return the second one as well. That’s a shame since there’s nothing nearly as good in this price range. I’d be tempted to move up to the Elevate, but I have have no faith I won’t have exactly the same problem. Vizio, since you acknowledge there are compatibility problems with some models, please publish the list of TVs that are known compatible for your products. When I see mine on such a list is the only way I’ll have the confidence to become a customer again.

Bought to replace a sounbar/subwoofer over ten years old. My first time purchasing a Vizio product. The out of box setup was a breeze. I am surprised how good the sound is. Almost premium price brand quality. Sounds great using Netflix and quality of sound good on HBO and Showtime movies. Very satisfied.

I was looking for a new surround system, as the one I had was about 15 years old. I researched actual surround systems vs sound bars, and found the reviews were split. I was tired of the wired surround system leaving wires visible and tangled, so I elected to try this Vizio soundbar, and I'm very satisfied so far. Extremely easy to set up and even works with my DirecTV remote so I dont need to use THREE remotes any more. If you're on the fence, like I was, this is the right choice for you. The sound quality and bass are awesome. Cant wait to have a great movie on and crank the sound up to 15-20 to get the deepest, loudest, most authentic sound that I can get from it.

Great sound. I really like it and the app to control from my cell phone. Something weird happens where the sound resets if my wife uses the google speaker upstairs but haven't figured it out yet. Other than that(probably my fault) this is a good system at a very fair price.

The soundbar replace a (checks notes) 12-year-old Yamaha soundbar that still sounded good, but had no HDMI or support for more modern surround codecs. I wanted an Atmos bar to be relatively future-proof, and it was hard to pass this up for the price. What I didn't see in all the reviews is that there is a longstanding issue between Roku (or maybe just TCL) TVs and Vizio soundbars. Such that, when using ARC and CEC, Atmos tracks would cut in and out. Setting the TV to only output Dolby Digital "solved" this problem, but also defeated the purpose of having an Atmos bar. My solution? A $25 HDMI switch that allows me to plug all my devices into the single non-ARC HDMI port on the soundbar and only use the TV for video instead of an a/v hub. Now everything works fantastically. I suspect other soundbars are in fact better, but I'm not ready to drop a grand on one. This will do nicely, pig. This'll do.

A good sound system at the price point. I’m enjoying it more and more every day! Pretty easy to set up and connect devices. I’d suggest buying a 3-way HDMI 2.0 switch to go with it if you have multiple devices you want to run through the eARC connection on your TV.

Got this on sale and couldn't happier. I normally put together sound systems for our various rooms or home theaters but this time around I wanted to give a soundbar a try. Having Atmos support was a must for me since it has gained significant support for both physical and streaming media. I also really like the rear surround speakers are wired to the subwoofer which in turn connects wirelessly to the main unit. Really cuts down on running wires around the room. Sound quality is very impressive for what it is. We're using it in a bedbroom and this is a perfect solution for the size of the room.

Great sound, Atmos isn't really here this is more of a surround sound soundbar with the satellite speakers. The wireless subwolfer helps with the satellite speakers due to having to be plugged in. Solid bass and nice sounds all the way from highs to mids to lows

Great Sound, Annoying Input Connection Problem

Sounds fantastic for movies and tv shows! The setup wasn't difficult, but you do have to download an app to access most of the settings. The settings are defaulted to "movie" mode, which is good for the intended content, but the bass becomes overwhelming for regular tv news so I recommend to switch the profile or use night mode. Compared to a Sonos Beam, this Vizio setup sounds better for movie, but worst for music and the app is nowhere close as responsive. My main problem with the sound bar is its tendency to lose connection with the TV through HDMI, which requires you to manually fidget with the input selection on the app until it reconnects. This wastes about a minute and becomes annoying as a daily issue.

For the price, these speakers are the best bang for your buck. I've been using them for about 9-months now, and I'm still impressed with the sound quality every time I really crank it up. 90% of the time this product is fantastic. 10% of the time, it can be frustrating to use. The interface for connecting Bluetooth is not super intuitive. It took a good amount of messing around to get it to work the way I wanted it to. Secondly, If I'm binging a show, or watching a long movie -- the Soundbar will turn off automatically in the middle of the show/movie. I'm not entirely sure why this happens, but I've not found a remedy for it yet. As I said, it's a majority good -- with just a few quirks I wish would be fixed.

Dolby Atmos sound is room filling for a great price. The sound bar does a great job of filling out the front with the two satellites and subwoofer taking care of the rear sounds. The included remote is OK but I really use mine hooked up to AppleTV and Vizio panel.

Love the sound from this equipment (sound gets 5 stars). We have mounted the soundbar to the wall beneath the television. This item is not optimal for wall mounting. Hiding the cables (power, Roku, and HDMI (ARC)) was a bit of a challenge. I had to fabricate a piece to increase the distance between the wall and the back of the soundbar. Also, make sure you install/connect everything in the exact order indicated. After the soundbar was installed and working, I changed the power source for the soundbar. With this change, the volume could not be adjusted. Tech Support answered the phone quickly and was very friendly, but did not have a clue how to fix this issue. A Google search found that I had to unplug all, disconnect the HDMI cable from the TV, power the TV back on, plug the HDMI back into the TV, power up the soundbar and all now works as expected.

After owning this soundbar system for a week, I am pleasantly surprised by how great it sounds! My two biggest concerns were the small subwoofer, and how well Dolby Atmos would sound on it. First, the subwoofer actually kicks pretty hard, our living room isn't the biggest so I think that helps, but even then we only have the subwoofer set to level 4 out of 10. Placement of the subwoofer will really help this shine, we have it in a corner and that seems to be the best spot for our room. As far as Atmos goes, it is amazing hearing things directly above your head, it really takes surround sound to a whole different level of sound immersion!! Two things to note, I think if the rear speakers had upward firing speakers it would help, but the front two still get the job done. The second thing to note is that finding Dolby Atmos content right now is a little sparse, Apple 4K TV is your best bet right now since they're movies app currently has the largest selection of Atmos supported content, AND it's one of two streaming devices that support Atmos on Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, and Apple Movies (xbox one is the only other one I know of). I think this soundbar gets too much flack due to things out of it's control, such as finding supported Atmos content and the possibility of people not having the right equipment to handle Atmos. "Our Planet" on Netflix is one of my favorite Atmos films right now, hearing birds and such fly over your head is a truly awesome experience. Overall I really like this system, it's easy to set up, it has a small footprint, and the Chromecast has been amazing, we have this and all of our other google home supported speakers connected throughout the house and we absolutely love it!! I have this paired with a 4K Vizio TV and Apple 4K TV, the apple remote turns on all three devices and controls them with ease. This soundbar absolutely DOES pass through 4K definition for anyone wondering. If you don't want to spend crazy money on a receiver and speakers for Atmos, then this is a wonderful start.

This is a very good sounding soundbar. Vizio has been around awhile so they know what there doing. Very impressed in the bass. It will rock the room. Only complaint i have is the Dolby atmos effect. If it had actual speakers you can hang it would sound better.

My previous Vizio 5.1 sound bar had experienced some issues and with the Geek Squad protection plan Best Buy swapped it out, and told me to pick out another system. I opted to try my had with a more premium sound. I must say this system produces great sound than my year old 5.1 system did. Great bass and overall Immersive sound. It was easy to set up, and the first thing I did was update the firmware, as I read every last review of some of the issues people were having. I always read the negative reviews first. If I can live with those, I’m all set. This sound bar matches well with my LG OLED55B7A. Definitely great sound at an inexpensive price.
