DO NOT BUY THIS SOUND BAR!

Received a replacement from Vizio and it had the exact same problem. Customer service was awful. I would not recommend this product or company. I couldn't be happier to move on and buy a better sound bar. DO NOT BUY THIS SOUND BAR! WORST BUY!!!

Cheap Garbage

Never works correctly. Extremely buggy. All around literally the worst product I've ever bought. If you buy this product, may god have mercy on your soul bc you're making a huge mistake. Save yourself

You'll find dozens of people unable to get these to work in the most straightforward configurations. Vizio recently pushed a firmware update and it BROKE the optical input. I can't get ANY audio from my TV through it. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

Good quality but worst reliability

If I pause something and TV is idle for 10+ mins, sound switchs back to TV speakers. Sound bar automatically switch off for no reason. Pay more and get better reliable sound system.

Great Surround Sound for Gamers!! and Movie(ers)

I don't use headsets because I don't want to completely zone out when im at home ( and ignore my wife). So this Vizio set up solved all my problems. I can hear footsteps behind me, above me underneath and the sides. Clean Crisp sound. ( and it doesn't even have to be turned up loud! I recommend the bass be turned down a good bit as it is extremely deep. Im been missing out on that aspect of "hearing enemies" relying only on my vision. Great Sound! BASS is amazing. The sound bar works seamlessly with my Q8LED SAMSUNG tv and xbox one X setup. I have the xbox connected directly to the sound bar (its the only way im able to get the dobly ATMOS option on my xbox settings) AND I don't lose my 4k experience by not hooking HDMI(ing) directly to the TV. I recommend when you first set up your system you do the sound/speaker test option. I had a defect LR satellite speaker and tried forever to get it working. Thus I returned it and my second sound bar and speakers work great. did I mention the bass is off the wall good especially for the price? The sound is crisp and clear coming from all the speakers and soundbar. I will be purchasing the stands for the Rear Satellite speakers so they can be at ear level. This is a great system for someone looking for a good quality surround sound not having the money to drop thousands on a system. (which I do, but im new to this surround sound scene) the wires that hook up to the satellite speakers are very very long, but I bet they would come in handy for some peoples set up. just needed something to try and im glad I picked this set! Vizio, congrats my friends. Well done. ALSO, set up was extremely easy. Satellite speakers are color coordinated with the wires they use and so it the Sub Woofer. Remote does everything you need it to. black is sleek.

Returned it... it worked less than half the time.

We had it for about a week and it worked less than half the time. The power wouldn’t even turn on the last couple days before we returned it. I’m glad Best Buy has an easy return policy. I you buy an “open box” one to save money, I hope you don’t get the crappy one we returned.

Slightly jaded

Very Disappointing

I’ve owned both and the cheaper system is 100x better/louder than this system. Although this system has Dolby Atmos, it doesn’t sound like it does.

Posted .Hi JayF. Whan you say it doesn't sound like it has Dolby Atmos, it may be because you're content. Atmos is intended to give a cinema like experience with rear surround sound, and overhead action. If your TV is set to broadcast in a 'stereo' audio format, you aren't getting the full experience. It's also important to keep in mind that some audio (like action movies, or shows with a lot of background noise) take more advantage of the format than other. Watching a movie in atmos will provide more audio from those additional speakers, than in you're watching the nightly news. Dont waste your money

It has had continuous connection, sound, and power issues for the last six month. I contacted Vizio at the first sign of issues, and they offered to replace with a refurbished unit, which I found unacceptable. It now sits in the trash.

Sound cuts off all the time!

Pretty much of your time will be spent trying to get the sound to come back on! Horrible I hate to return items but this thing has changed my mind.

Absolute garbage

All do the same thing. Randomly shut off, no sound or stuck in a boot loop. Hard resets & disconnecting the power cord have 0 effect. Vizio nor Best Buy will refund my money. I am stuck with a defective product. 340 dollars wasted.

Your product would have came with a manufacturers warranty and in general we will replace your unit if issues arise that cannot be resolved. Not worth it

The Atmos speakers were not even distinguishable. Disappointed. Went ahead and returned product and bought Denon Atmos AVR and Jamos Home theater speakers with woofer and sub. Now I’m satisfied

Unhappy with the music system

I'm not sure how to get help as its past the return period.

HDR passthrough not working

So I found out my sound bar’s HDR passthrough not working properly. Can’t passthrough HDR signal. I tried 4 premium hdmi cables. Nothing changed.

Posted .Hi Aagii, This soundbar should be able to pass that signal through no problem. If you connect the device directly to the TV does it play in HDR? I'd recomend checking the device to make sure it's capable of broadcasting or 'sending' HDR, it's a newer technology and not all devices and content will play in HDR. I'd recomend contacting the devices manufacturer to determine how to 'enable' the HDR content. Once you do that- the sound bar should be able to pass it through.
