Wow is all I can say about the quality and sheer power this has. I’ve bought and returned so many soundbars in my day and this one definitely ain’t getting returned. Yeah, the app configuration is a little rough to sync with but once you do, it syncs up nearly every time. You want to go in there and turn on virtual DTS:X so you get that 3D sound.
As for the rear speakers and subwoofer, I am floored at how loud it gets. I went into the effects menu from the remote and set the surround speakers to dual and I had to turn down the volume cause it was so loud. The subwoofer is set to -1 cause anything higher than that I got wifey nagging at me cause the house is rumbling. The clarity of the Soundbar is superb. Turn the dialogue and center channel to high and you won’t miss out on anyone talking.
As for the price, it may seem steep but when you compare it to the Sonos ARC, it’s a great deal. The ARC is $799 for the bar and another $179 each of the One SL’s and throw in another $700 for the subwoofer and you’re more than doubling the price of the Elevate system. You are getting a high end system on the cheap.
If you can find it on sale and you’ve been debating about this system, do yourself a favor and at least try it out. You can always return it but I promise you that you won’t want to after hearing it. Of course a dedicated audio system with a receiver is going to give you the overall best sound and experience, but I’m not about all the wires and the hassle with the setup of a true surround system. The Elevate is dang close to a dedicated system and way more simple to configure and manage. This a winner through and through.

Got it discounted over Cyber Monday. Amazing value, great design, good sound, easy to hook up to the TV.
The Vizio iOS app is very buggy, keeps disconnected form the soundbar. Based on online reviews, I know that I'm not the only one having issue with this app.
And when I pick it up at BestBuy, the box is pretty banged up. The agent claimed it is brand new, she didn't know what happened. Such a disappointing respond, especially with a My Best Buy Elite Plus member.
The only good thing that nothing seems damaged.

Look at it from this perspective, its regular price already makes it a much more affordable sound bar compared to the competition. There's currently NO new Vizio replacement to this model yet so you can guarantee that you're getting your moneys worth (especially after a discounted rate).
Now the quality is simply incredible. The sound is really good and it's very easy to setup. That's the thing, you're comparing this product with expensive systems so it's kinda dumb to hold it to higher standard, but here we are, Vizio delivers above it's level.
The advantage of buying this product after a few years is that all the firmware has seemingly fixed past issues I've read on the internet.
There might be some confusion over how to connect the soundbar to wifi but once I figured it out, it never fails to connect to my device which I use to customize the equalizer.
If you're easy to please, then this sound bar is for you as it provides you with default sound options. If you're pretty obsessed about detail and sound quality, then you have the option to nitpick on the settings. Subwoofer too loud? No problem, just lower that part down. Back speakers too soft, same thing, increase that level. You have the choice to level all volumes which is ideal for older TVs and the capacity to isolate audio which works perfectly well for newer sound sources.
I'm really happy with this product. It saves me time cause I get to enjoy quality sound of my choosing without the hassle of setting up a complicated sound system. I use Netflix (on Apple TV) to test out the Atmos and it literally blows my head. There's always that tendency to want to get the subwoofer rumbling but once you get used to this product and you get a feel for how to use it, you start turning down the subwoofer level to hear more precise sounds and noises.
If you want a sound bar that competes against more expensive setups (but without the hassle and high cost), get this one. It just makes sense.

The sound on this system is amazing. The first day i got it all set up I put on the battle scene from the first Avengers and boy it it sound like New York was being destroyed all around me. You could feel every explosion and it felt like you were on a helicopter. The only reason why I didn't give it 5☆ is because at times it loses connection with the subwoffer (which is only 8 or so feet away from the bar) which affects the back speakers going off since thats how they are connected and when you lose the bass it makes a big difference in a lot of the things I watch. But thats comes and goes in waves. I would recommend due to the immersive qualities otherwise

Amazing soundbar just takes a little bit of equalizer tweaking, The subwoofer is extremely powerful! If the volume sounds to low it is most likely the volume leveler as soon as I turned it on or off the volume went back to normal, Sounds incredible with PS5 and XBOX

I actually really like the sound bar. I've had it since January of 2021. It's presently May 2023. It sounds really good for what it is. However, the Vizio app is horrible. It doesn't want to stay connected so don't plan on using the Vizio app.

Easy to set up. Good quality sound, even handles heavy metal pretty well. Far exceeds TV audio. The Dolby Atmos is awesome with movies in that format

This was my first time buying a Visio soundbar. I had had LG and Samsung soundbars in the past, but this one blows them out of the water. The sound from the bar is equally impressive when listening to music or watching a movie, indoldie atmos. The ease of setup and the array of accessories. It comes with really made me feel like I made the right decision when purchasing this soundbar! From the packaging down to the soundbar its self, Visio has made me a customer! Good job Vision

WOW x 100!!! These have exceeded expectations. I feel like I've not truly watch some of my favorite movies without these. I'm re-watching everything since getting these: COMPLETELY different experience! Music is insanely better/more enjoyable. I'm crazy impressed! I definitely recommend these to all! The app is great and allows you to customize so much.

Had this product for about 2 weeks.
So far I’m very happy with the sound quality. The compatibility with TVs and the responsiveness of bluetooth is very good. I really can’t think of any cons for this SB for it being in the 600$ budget range.

Very good and solid sound system. I am very happy with this! It is just as good if not as good as the competitors. I can honestly say this has been well worth the price and my favorite buy of the year. I really love Vizio for their DTS TruVolume feature. Other players dont have an auto volume feature or if it does, its not very good. A lot of people give it bad ratings because of the app... Well, forget the app. It is nice when it does work, but its ultimately unnecessary. The remote is good enough. Being able to change the surround to dual mode is especially awesome for music! It seriously sounds like you're there. If you are listening to something loud enough, especially Atmos or DTS X content, you can feel the rear speakers pushing air out of it. The sub is so loud that even on the lowest setting, it rumbled our place, which I love, but the wife hates. I had to disconnect the sub speaker wiring inside so I could still use the surround speakers. Even without the sub speaker, the soundbar and rear speakers have a lot of bass. Best soundbar system that I have personally tried, and Ive tested most of them. When watching Earth 4K, my cat goes wild haha. The sounds are too real.

I absolutely LOVE the way it sounds. It’s my second Vizio sound bar and they both sound just as good. Unfortunately as other reviewers have mentioned it has cosmetic defects which are minimal and almost any user would dismiss if the unit operates well overall. However my experience was different. I purchased this online. Received it the next Thursday and with proper care and usage by Saturday night it started making cranky sounds, like mechanical sounds. It didn’t really bother me, since the sound was great. However by Sunday morning/afternoon the sounds were louder and more often. I inspected the unit and discovered the “turning speakers” at the ends of the sound bar stopped turning. There was nothing blocking it and it was on a flat surface. I think the motors that make them turn are made of very low quality. As I said it sounds outstandingly cool! But it comes with a great defect. So the turning speakers are a gimmick to get you to buy it.

I purchased the VIZIO - 5.1.4-Channel Elevate Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Rotating Speakers for Dolby Atmos/DTS:X in December 2023. The installation was very straightforward, and I connected it to my Sony TV. After installation, I could directly use my TV remote to control both my TV and this soundbar. In terms of sound quality, it is excellent. The dialogue is very clear, and the rotating sound is very effective. I am really happy with this purchase
