Customers highly value the exceptional sound quality, immersive Dolby Atmos experience, and user-friendly setup process of the 5.1.4-Channel Elevate Soundbar. Vizio doesn’t do the extensive “Marketing” other high end brands do…and I thought their “Run” being the #1 TV brand was over. Yes & NO; Instead they saved the Marketing money to give you more “bang for your buck” and focused on Sound-bars apparently. After comparing the key features I wanted (fully Immersive, Dolby Atmos, eArc) against the Bigger name brands (Sonia, Bose) there is no comparison. If you have disposable income to purchase Sonos…thier probably really good, but IMHO are simply overpriced and (a La carte). If you don’t have a Bass Module; than just use your TV speakers ☺️

So far so great! It has great clarity, dialogue volume control, very good and present bass and outputs Dolby Atmos and DTS X. I don't hear anything lacking. I tried a Samsung q850t and that was just not good, not even close comparatively. The Elevate's eq and levels are very responsive, unlike the Q. 18 speakers, 18! 3 per channel for the LCR (left, center, right). During non Atmos content, it rotates the speakers down automatically for an even wider soundstage, equaling to 13 front facing speakers! Add the rear surrounds and rear upfiring of 4, plus the subwoofer makes 18 speakers! So many soundbars cheap out to so much less. For example the q850t only had 10 speakers total, which had a tinny, thin soundstage. The Elevate is full and engaging. So many soundbars are hundreds and thousands more, why? So much value here. Nothing can touch it for the price. If you're worried about the mechanics of it lasting, add the 4 year protection plan and you're good. I returned the q850t and Keit kept the Elevate without hesitation. It's that good.

This soundbar sounds great and was a good value at $600, but probably a bit expensive at $1,000. Its remote is very well designed and the one-line LCD is surprisingly useful. It was very easy to set up and I believe it has the minimum possible cabling required for the number of speakers it supports. It is possible to configure levels for every speaker, which is very useful. I have installed it on a 55" Vizio OLED and the overall look is fantastic as the bar extends to the whole width of the TV and looks as if it is one single well-designed piece of hardware. It also sounds great for music playback. It sounds better to me when compared with a Sonos five and a pair of Nest Audios.
There are a few bugs that need to be ironed out though:
(1) when I tried to update its firmware, it got stuck at trying to download it. It exhibited the same behavior after multiple attempts. As a guess, I removed spaces from my WiFi's SSID, and it worked immediately.
(2) I am using it in combination with Google TV. When I plug the dongle directly on the TV and play a source that supports Dolby Atmos, the TV occasionally crashes! It becomes completely unresponsive: It cannot be turned off by the remote or the TV's own control buttons: it needs to be unplugged. When I plug the dongle on the soundbar, everything works smoothly. No crashes in this case. However, every time I turn on the TV, it takes a few seconds for the TV to recognize the soundbar, and then I have to switch the source back to Google TV (even though this is the source used before turning off the TV). I see this as a mild annoyance that surely will be resolved via an update in the future.

A great product by an American company. Better than the Sonos Arc. First, this product comes nicely packaged. The design is awarding winning (red dot award) and unique with ear level or rotating upward firing speakers. This product delivers sound well beyond it's price point with 13 speakers. Supports Dolby Atmos and DTSX. The sub woofer fires downward. Surrounds are small and light but complimentary. Comes with several port options. The two rear surrounds are wired and connect directly to the sub woofer so they are not wireless. Comes with a easy use remote with a display on the top, wall mounts and complimentary aux cords. 4 pre-set sound modes. Not 5 stars only because requires a lot of tweaking and going into settings to adjust surround and center channels to get the correct with each different movie.

A wonderful home theater experience. Had previously read about some people having connectivity issues, specifically when trying to operate the Elevate via the Vizio mobile app, but I have had absolutely no issue when using the system with my LG CX 65".
The sound simply envelops you, and while a sound bar firing up and off the ceiling will never be quite as good as dedicated speakers installed in the ceiling -- I have absolutely ZERO complaints here considering the convenience of installation and cheaper price.
One thing to note: the sound bar is LONG. It fits great under my 65", but I'd make sure to measure if buying this bar for any smaller TV.

Bought a few other mid-priced sound bars and was disappointed. I live in an apartment and a lot of the reviews on sound bars seem to apply to home owners with larger sound rooms and better sound displacement.
After a few tries, found a sound bar that fits my smaller apartment living room and produces a great surround sound with plenty of bass and decent tremble.
Most users depending on the size of their area might need to turn the sound woofer down a bit.
Overall, Vizeo has never let me down for their superior quality even competing with other high rated systems like Sonos and Bose,

Improved sound definition over the previous model. The rotating speakers fills the room and makes you feel like you're in a movie theater. There may be better soundbars out there, but you can't go wrong with the price.

The vizio elevate is an extremely high quality sound bar with great highs and very clear mids, powerful room shaking bass is just the cherry on top. I however did have some issues with setup (mostly operator error) otherwise it is among the best in terms of value, quality, and sound! I highly recommend!

The Vizio Elevate is a fantastic system, especially for the price. Compared to my other purchases of soundbars, where I paid almost twice as much, this is a great system. I do have high, vaulted ceilings, but even then I get great sound, including Atmos. The only thing better than this is probably a dedicated receiver with in-wall speakers. Since I'm in the military and PCS often, that wouldn't make sense. While the Vizio SmartCast app leaves a lot to be desired (especially if you have 2.4/5G wireless) you can control everything from the remote so it really doesn't matter.

If you can get over the dodgy app and archaic interface/remote, these sound very good for a 5.1.4 Atmos soundbar system. The sub is a bit muddy but doesn't lack for volume. I tried the Sony equivalent + wireless surround sound speakers and returned them for this product. The Elevate signal processing + moving front speakers function very well to "broaden" the listening experience. These sell out everywhere all the time for a reason.

I want to give it 5 stars but the only issue is that when I switch inputs there's a sound delay. Sounds amazing, may need a little tweaking sometimes and I like the ability to control it from an app. I have mine connected to a Xbox and sometimes it does not recognize it but if you switch the inputs and back on the remote it works fine. The input issue does not bother me enough to find another solution. The problem isn't a big deal for me but maybe for some.
Overall, sound is worth the price.

I am extremely happy with the sound quality but I don’t think my set up is right for the surround sound. At times it’s amazing and other times it’s just not right. I love the blue tooth and the sub will shake your windows if you want it to! I am going to continue to play with speaker placement and sound levels. All in all I would definitely recommend this purchase.

This is an excellent soundbar. Alongside the Vizio, I purchased Bose 900 + bose 700 bass module, Samsung Q990C. Experimented all three. Set up for Samsung and bose is much easy even a thrid grader can be able to do that. However, setting up Vizio needs an adult with brilliant mindset. Otherwise, it should be chaotic. Once Vizio set up is done, game starts! Excellent sound quality. Far better than samsung at playing spotify. However, when samsung Qsymphony is connected and start Dolby Atmos, you will barely notice wider sound staging in Q990C unless your tv is super good like QN90B/, QN95B/C, S90B/C, S95B/C. Unfortunately, Samsung's bass is awful and weaker compare to Bose or Vizio. I had allergy to buy something "Vizio" but this sound system did not give me any option except keeping it. The rare speaker is also good. Likewise, Q990C. Above all, the sound is warm in Vizio and I prefer warm sound. Bose is better than Vizio but to buy Bose you need to spend around $1550 (bass module + bar) but still you need to add another $500 to add rear spearker in Bose. Upon evaluating spotify performance, Bose is a little better than Vizio. We do NOT need to spend that much for a brand. If money allows me, I would buy B&0 or Ambeo MAX.

A very solid build with possibly the easiest set up I’ve had with any system. I was a little worried at first about syncing the wifi but found it fairly easy after doing some research on the SmartCast app.
Sound quality / Atmos effects are amazing for such small speakers.
The sub is almost too much at times and I’ve noticed I keep it fairly low.
Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend for someone looking to get a premium system sound without breaking the bank on a full system

Finally got rid of my stereo system and bought this.
And finally a surround sound system that you can adjust the levels independently. I also have my turntable plugged into it and you can tell the surround speakers to not have effects. The sub is great and it powers the surround speakers, so no need to run speaker wire across the room.

Overall, I am really impressed with my Vizio sound bar. I played a bunch of my for 4K movie s from my digital collection supporting Dolby Atmos. Some audio clips were better than others. I believe it depends on how the audio file was mastered.
I feared the package was going to be in bad shape being it was the last one at this particular BestBuy, which was not the case. I had the soundbar and subwoofer setup in less than 20 minutes. The longest part was getting the soundbar to sync with my WiFi using the web app. After a few failed attempts, I shut off the sound bar and restarted it. The rest was a smooth process . I hooked it up to my Vizio 65 inch 4K V series TV.
Pros - Cinematic quality sound after some minor tweaks in the app.
The Dolby Atmos side drivers rotate with ease and are fairly quiet during the transition for supported 4K content.
The LCD display on the provided remote is a nice touch.
Plenty of velcro wire ties to cleanup cluttered wires.
The subwoofer produces low bass sounds. There’s no need to frequently visit theaters for the immersive experience.
Cons - Price is a little steep, but in this case it’s better to pay for higher quality.
Rear speakers occasionally make a noticeable clicking sound. This is the first day using them and maybe it’s conflict with other wireless equipment.
The volume continuously kept increasing on the first movie watched. Going to the Vizio support website provided the solution which was shutting off the audio leveler and DTS-X features on my Vizio tv. I think this should be in the owner’s manual, especially for those of us who use other Vizio products.
Bottom line- This product is awesome!

I grabbed this a few days ago when it went on sale ($300 off). This system sounds amazing. I have a 2018 Vizio E Series TV, so no Dolby Atmos built in to that (I do have a PS4 which supports it) and pretty much all content sounds amazing. I'm coming from an older Sony 5.1 system and it has blown it away. I will update this if I hit any road bumps as time goes on.
Some considerations/recommendations to keep in mind:
- The subwoofer is huge (15"x10"x13")! Make sure you have space to place it
- The sound bar itself is fairly deep at 6.5", so make sure if it will be sitting on an entertainment center with your TV that it can either fit under it (48" long) or that when you slide your TV back the bar will have room
- Connecting the sound bar to the Vizio app can be tricky - it's best to turn of your TV when trying to do it
- Use the app for fine tuning the audio - the remote is OK, but the app makes it much easier
