It was worth the wait. Insanely easy to set up. The app works fine on my iPhone. I paired my Elevate with a Vizio tv, and they work seamlessly as one unit. Also works good with our Google Home system.
The audio is clean. The separation is good. This is the Goldilocks setup. As good or better than some wired kits. Minimal intrusion on the room. Great sound. Not cheap but by no means cheap, if you get my meaning.

Amazing soundbar, You can watch a movie with very deep bass and listen to the music of your liking, and sounds excellent as well. I first got the soundbar in November 2020 and it would make a nasty popping sound when a show on sling would go into a commercial couple of times a day very annoying only on sling though and I have Netflix, Disney plus, Spotify, etc. the other times would be when I would from game to game digitally on Xbox series x. It's connected to LG CX65 2020. The soundbar stopped doing the popping sound at the beginning of February 2021. Just amazed by the sound experience.

Finally got rid of my stereo system and bought this.
And finally a surround sound system that you can adjust the levels independently. I also have my turntable plugged into it and you can tell the surround speakers to not have effects. The sub is great and it powers the surround speakers, so no need to run speaker wire across the room.

Good soundbar with solid stereo sound quality. The Center set is really good for dialogue. Surround speakers are good. I am not sure about the height i.e. atmos channels. I think it has a low punch.
I had JBL 9.1 which I returned as it freezes sometimes, and I need to physically remove the power cord!
Compared to JBL, elevate power output is significantly lower. With Vizio, I typically set the soundbar volume to 70 whereas it was 40-45 on JBL.
I like the rotating speakers having an app is good even though with glitches. JBL doesn't have an app and the remote was not useful. I really like Vizio's remote with the notification screen.
The only annoying issue I am facing is the audio output delay when switching inputs and or changing channels. Even while playing a youtube video, after the ad there is no sound output for a couple of secs. Not sure what might be causing it. I am hoping a firmware update will fix it.
Overall it was a good buy at a $300 discount.

Great sounding soundbar. Much better sound than most expensive soundbars in the market for the price it is being offered. I have a big living room yet this fills the entire room with great immersive sound. Not too great in replicating atmos sound..but does the job. Had issues connecting to the app via wifi, but once connected and got firmware updated had hardly seen any issues with connectivity. Mostly i use the app to control the soundbar.

Great sounding set up! The only thing holding it back from a higher rating is the spotty WiFi and app. I've been a long time Vizio user so I'm hopeful this could be fixed with a new sw release. System looks great, sounds great and has enough adjustment settings for most users. I'm happy with this purchase even with the buggy app.

Vizio makes some great products. I really like this soundbar . I goes extra loud and the sub woofer is so rumbly that it makes movies and video games alot more realistic. Only gripe is that it sometimes loses sound and has to be turned off and back on again. It also seems to work alot better and has a better sound quality when you use a ultra high speed HDMI cable available at (Best Buy)
With a tv that has HDMI E arc capability. Dolby Atmos and DTS sound amazing on this sound bar.
The two small speaker fire up and down and forward so the sound feels like it's all around you. Alot cheaper than high end expensive sound bars but it works as good and sounds as good if not better than the more expensive sound bars.

Originally I was working with LG SL10YG Soundbar before getting this latest soundbar from Vizio and let me tell you it’s hundred times better than LG and it’s truly going to ELEVATE your experience. Bass on this is so powerful that you might find yourself turning it down. I was lucky enough to snag it on sale at $699 and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

This sound bar sounds outstanding! It gives a great sound to the room, vocals are crystal clear and stand out and the bass can be felt. Problem is with a subwoofer as far down as you can go before it completely turns off. Can be still too loud for some, this is something that Vizio needs to correct. Correct. In addition, there is an issue with eArc it has both control issues and the sound and not coming on when using with a TV and this includes their own Vizio line. Vizio is aware of that and recommends you hook up an optical from your TV in the meantime. This is could be a big issue for some, isn't the whole point of the arc is so that you don't have to use extra cables? Cables? That being said, there is also a bit of an issue. The DTS simulation when watching sports. Sometimes you can't hear the referee. Not that I care to all that much. It does some weird things. With that being said, the surround sounds outstanding from it.

Great sound bar was a return item open box. Upgraded firmware and did a factory reset when I got home. Justin from the park meadows store was mr attitude told me he wouldn’t sell Vizio to his own family. I took this as an insult he was throwing his own opinion around, he was not a fan of Dolby atmos. Told me to get Sonos well with surround speakers and subwoofer this would be nearly 1700.00 i ended up getting the elevate for 699.00. I’ve had Martin Logan and Bowers and Wilkins sound bars to my knowledge they don’t have atmos coming out soon. Sorry Justin it was so obvious you were pouting after the transaction. Vizio elevate gets a 5 Justin gets a 0

This sound bar system sounds great, right out of the box. The only reason I won’t give it five stars is because, even though it is supposed to be WiFi capable, I can’t get the thing to see my home network. I have not yet updated the firmware, so hopefully after I update that it will work, but I don’t have a lot of faith that will do the trick. I had seen videos of reviewers saying that the firmware on this product was suspect, but decided to take a chance. I got it at a very good price, and I do like the sound, so I guess I would buy it again, in spite of the WiFi issue.

Love this sound bar! This sound bar gets the job done and sounds great. I feel immersed wether it be gaming or watching a movie. The Dolby Atmos works flawlessly. It has earc and works great with my series x. Never have any issues when using Dolby Atmos on the series x as well as 120 hz.

They speaker is mind blowing. I was watching bright on Netflix to test of the Dolby atmos feature and I thought I heard gunshots outside. Besides the clicking noise that comes and go (Vizio is tracking and working on a fixed) the speaker was great for the price. I got it on sale when it first came out and was worth the money.

This sound bar was very easy to set up. It works great and the sound is amazing. I was hearing things from movies I have not noticed before. At one point in a movie, I thought I had a water pipe leaking in my basement and it was just the movie. This is worth every penny.

works seamlessly with Vizio OLED tv. Great bass and highs compared to my previous Vizio 5.1 setup. Rotating speakers are a nice touch. would probably work better with non vaulted ceilings. Nice touch is the attachment to the Vizio OLED tvs.

Just got this to replace my older Samsung 6500 soundbar with 10” sub and satellite speakers because my subwoofer kept shorting out. I got it at the $699 price and can’t believe how much of a difference this system makes while watching movies or anything else for that matter.
It’s true that the setup is a little bit more complicated than just plugging everything in but it’s only been out for a few weeks and I’m sure most issues can be fixed with firmware updates.
Overall you won’t find a better sounding complete system for the price and the positives far outweigh the negatives in my opinion. Get this if you want a cool and great sounding state of the art system to entertain anyone lucky enough to visit your home.

I bought this with a new TCL TV in Nov 2020. I think it sounds great and I haven't had any reliability issues with the Atmos speakers rotating or anything. I do have connection and sound popping issues pretty much all of the time.
I normally watch TV with a Tivo and with HDMI eARC the soundbar has pretty much always stayed connected. However, every time you change a channel or pause TV or skip through a commercial there is a variable delay of something like 4-10 seconds before the sound starts up again that just drives you nuts. It's definitely long enough that you can miss dialog and have to rewind the video enough to start it early enough before the content that you want to hear, hoping that you guessed at the right amount of delay for it to start again. And regularly when you switch tuners or channels you just don't get any audio until you change something else. I haven't done the research to see if that's a Vizio problem or an eARC problem but whatever it is I'm just about ready to pitch this thing.
Also whenever you switch apps on the TV it almost never connects again and you go through a cycle of powering the soundbar on and off, which sometimes works, and then switching it to a different input and then back to the eARC to make it connect to the TV again which typically but not quite always works. And yes if you just pause the video source for a break you frequently have to go through that process again.
I recently bought a new optical audio cable and tried that. The delay issues with eARC went away but the connection / power cycling / input switching problems are even worse. And of course I lost the ATMOS functionality, not that I can tell that much difference. I am now spending less time piddling with rewinding video but I'm more unsatisfied than ever.
Finally the random very loud popping sounds can be quite unnerving. I've never seen a pattern or a cause buy when they turn up for an hour or two or a week or two it's a real pain in the neck. or ears.
So overall the sound is pretty great but it's not worth it. I see that Vizio always chimes in on these reviews so I contacted Vizio support just now. One support chat suggested that if the audio and video are in sync then that's about all we can hope for and I got cut off. A second tech tried a couple of steps with me and said it's broken and I should file a warranty claim. If it's broken now then it came new from the factory broken. At any rate, if I get a refund on this from my credit card I consider it a win.
