    I always been Sony but this sound bar it’s amazing and the sound is super loud LOVE IT!

    It randomly shuts off for no apparent reason. Switching inputs suck. If I switch from one input to another there has to be sound on the second input for the switch to register. For instance, say I'm watching Netflix thru the app on the TV, but then I want to watch a blu-ray. If I switch inputs on the sound bar before the disc loads then the sound bar will not detect the blu-ray input even after the disc starts.

    I wanted a system that sounded good and wasn't a stand alone stereo so it didn't take up a ton of space. This system delivered. One note, my TV wouldn't pass Atmos sound through it and wouldn't work with Roku for DD+ so I ended up getting a 4K HDMI switch to feed everything into the soundbar instead of my TV.

    I recently purchased this sound bar after owning the SB4051-D5 for a couple of years and it has not disappointed me. I was excited to upgrade to atmos, however the very first day I installed it the rear satellite speakers I noticed random crackling and popping. Today 7/13/20 is the third day post installation and the popping is getting worse. I usually keep the boxes and wrapping for sometime in case i would return or exchange, unfortunately once I installed the soundbar, which was easy, I threw the box. The firmware is upto date. The sound bar is connected to Samung smart box via HDMI ARC. There are no wi-fi or any other type of interference. I have not contacted Vizio yet. I really do not have the time to go through the hassle of troubleshooting steps I already did on my own. I am extremely disappointed.

While it's possible that there's a problem with the rear speakers, cords/cables with frayed ends can also cause audio crackling.     There is nothing like Atmos; and this package delivers. The ability to have rear speakers with a soundbar puts this guy over the top. It includes everything for every input. Wish it did have multiple HDMI inputs, but thats only a minor gripe.

    I went through three separate units before I called it quits with this soundbar. All three had the same main problem: while playing Atmos content through any service/device, the rear upfiring speakers would crackle intermittently. I tried this through the iTunes and Vudu apps on my Apple TV 4k as well as my Sony UBP-X700 using Atmos-capable UHD discs. All of them exhibited the behavior. I made sure that all connections were secure, I tried factory resets, swapped HDMI cables, and even bought separate RCA cables to run from the subwoofer to the rear speakers to rule that out. No matter what I tried, the crackling kept happening. If you're willing to roll the dice on getting a good unit, you might get lucky as many people apparently have. But after going through three with the same problem and eliminating all the variables, I was done. On top of that I need to fiddle around with the options on the soundbar itself to make it sound good to begin with. So in the end, especially considering the price, I wouldn't recommend this at all.

    Was blown away by the performance of this sound bar. Did a ton of research prior to buying and am very thrilled with my purchase. This subwoofer is no joke and the craziest part was all of the default settings are PERFECT. (I did NOT need to adjust the bass volume, treble, height speaker levels, center levels etc.)

    Great speaker system and very easy to install. The system is relatively old so VIZIO already patched all the software gaps it initially launched with. I get very robust and punchy sound overall ... and majority of my friends went as far as saying this is getting closer to a movie theater experience in terms of sound.

    I have had this VIZIO Soundbar surround sound system for less than 14 months and now the wireless subwoofer/rear speakers cut in and out. The receiver on the sub loses connection every 20 or 30 seconds. Luckily I bought the 4 year warranty!
