For my movie room this system rocks! I have a fairly large home theater room and my current set up works great. I have the sub and two satellite speakers in the back behind our upper row and the surround sound is phenomenal especially with any action movie. The highs produced by the Soundbar are very impressive as well. This system is paired to our 75" TCL 5-Series TV via the HDMI eARC connection. I also like how Vizio included a small but useful LCD screen on the remote so you can know what input you're selecting and the adjustment settings. I've read other reviews about the subwoofer not sounding good but that's not the case with mine. Matter of fact, I had to turn my level setting down a little due because it was really shaking the room. For the price you get Dolby Atmos and that's really hard to beat. I would highly recommend this system to anyone!

Good lower end, 5.1 channel theater sound setup. Next step up. $1,000. Very decent sound. Includes Atmos and DTS, noted with different color lights on bar panel as each movie starts. Clear voices. Multiple frequency and channel adjustments. Connected to ARC. Quick, easy switch from internal OLED TV speakers. Rear satellite speakers are wired but to the bass unit (wireless) that is typically placed around seating area. So, no need to run wires across/under floor or over ceiling.

I purchased the Vizio M51ax-J6 specifically because I wanted a soundbar with 5.1 “Dolby Atmos” and dual stereo mode for YouTube music. My old soundbar would only play music from the front/center & sub speakers. This soundbar did the trick. I now get great sounding stereo music from all 5 speakers, and killer movie/tv surround sound. I also wanted a soundbar that could be mounted flush under my new Samsung QLED 60” tv. This worked with inexpensive L-shaped brackets I purchased from Amazon. Pretty much all other soundbars I looked at with Dolby Atmos specs have up-firing speakers which they do not recommended mounting under your tv as the sound could be obstructed. This soundbar does not have speakers on the top. The up-fires are in the front & sides, angled up I suppose. Who knows if I’m getting true Dolby Atmos, but I’m definitely hearing a new-to-me type of surround sound which is awesome. I tried a few different connection configs, and found this works the best: 4K Firestick into HMDI E-ARC on the soundbar, soundbar out to HMDI E-ARK on TV. All 3 devices are in sync and sound great!

I read alot of reviews on other bars, Just wanted a upgrade from my old solo soundbar. My New Oled tv was craving a Atmos soundbar. This 1 is ok for that, but just the surround sound with the easy satellites & sub behind my couch made a huge difference. The bass & sound is great for my medium sized living room. It gets pretty loud, u definitely don’t want to watch a movie or play Ps5 on this late night. Bought it open box excellent condition. For 180!! It’s a Great Deal. Reviewed better than most 300to600 buck soundbars. I would’ve given it 5 stars if it had the 2 up firing speakers like on the elavate or H6, the one’s that I originally wanted but couldn’t find it on sale or open box. Very happy with it, music sounds very good, movies & games sound Great & alot more clear if there 5.1 Dolby or Atmos. YouTube sounds ok but that’s because podcasts or other content aren’t 5.1

So I bought this sound system for my small room. It sounds very nice and gives decent bass.
I’m very picky with sound and i can definitely say for the price it’s not bad.
Obviously it’s not super top of the line but it works.
I wouldn’t use it in a living room or a big big room.
And The bass is a little lower than I wanted it to be in certain places. And I noticed some frequencies will make a rumbling noise but for Netflix, or gaming, and YouTube in a small room it does the job! Definitely recommend for small bedrooms!

Overall a great purchase. Had to play with the settings to get our perfect sound, but overall it was a great buy, especially for the price. We paired this with our Vizio M series and it functions great with either the tv or sound bar remote. Overall very happy with it.

Good value for money and superb sound is what Vizio aims for with their sound bars.
Deep and engaging bass and good mids make for an avid movie watching experience. Rtings has rightly recmmneded vizio bar at this price- i dont think you can find a better sound bar and surrounds at 300$. The interface is not very visual and everything is through the remote - probably a side effect of keeping the price low.
The atmos sound also is not really great if your looking for height channnel performance but no soundbar is. The surround soundstage and overall experience is really immersive and thats what matters.
10/10 would recommend. Only negative part is the fabric cover which might accumulate dust and be harder to clean.

After only having this soundbar setup for a few days, i already like it more than my Polk Signa S2. The bass is so much deeper, and so much louder and smoother. which is the make or break point for any type of speaker in my opinion. these Vizio soundbars are just phenomenal. the clarity is just amazing, and the added "surround sound" speakers just make it better. My mom has the compact or smaller one which is just a stand alone smaller bar and that packs a punch.

This sound bar is awesome! I original bought a Samsung 7.1 dts but the rear speakers weren’t very loud so I went to the store and swapped it out for this 5.1 atmos soundbar($20 more). This is a Great sound bar for the Xbox Series X!!! The price isn’t bad for what you get. I have had no problems switching between inputs. I have my Xbox series x connected to the soundbar to take advantage of the atmos and have the soundbar connect to my arc port. However volume is kinda low when I’m watching regular cable but that’s not the sound bars fault. The tv channels (comcast) doesn’t output Dolby. Definitely recommend for the $299 price and the $329 price.

I love the audio quality its better than the built in tv speakers , having both dolby atmos and dtsx is great for movies that support it and for the price is also great. The only thing is you need to buy stands for the rear channels speakers. overall is a great soundbar for the budget.

I have a Vizio 2.1 soundbar in the living room and bought this to go in my bedroom. It's not audiophile. I own audeze and sennheiser headphones. But, on the music preset, it's like listening to my favorite songs for the first time. I'm impressed. Switch to the movie preset and movies come alive. I wall mounted everything with the included wall mounts, using drywall anchors I already had. The surround speakers i mounted directly to my left and right, not behind me. Setup was automatic. Just plug everything in.

Set up easy, sounds great! The sub connected right away and sounds decently full. This is great for movies and super immersive for games. For the price I don’t think you could get much better, and the surround makes a huge difference!

I feel the best feature of the sound bar is the remote it comes with because you have so much room to adjust your levels and tones. For me this is a huge jump forward from the previous Vizio model that I had owned.
Is this worth full retail price! Absolutely! If you're looking for a mid-grade Home Theater Upgrade I most certainly would recommend this!
