Disappointing

I own a Vizio 5.1 from 2019 that was only 170 bucks and sounds way better than this gimmick Dolby atmos system. Bass is hardly noticeable even though I cranked it up to a 100. On the other hand my old one I keep it at 50% and it has more bass than the new one . Very disappointed as I was looking forward to this soundbar but my old one still gives me a theater sound feel than this one .

Sound Issues. Had to Return

Eventually it happened more and more until it had a regular popping noise even with no audio source connected and the satellite speakers and sub disconnected. Attempted several firmware updates/resets which did not resolve it. Found several others posting online with the same issue. Ended up replacing it with with the Vizio 5.1.2 Elevate system and couldn't be happier with that set.

For the money it’s a decent surround system

Sounded great when it stayed connected but…

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to try this sound bar, I picked one up at Best Buy a few months ago and set up was cake and it sounded fantastic. Fast forward a bit and it would disconnect every time I would pause a movie or change to a different hdmi as well has turn off or turn on my tv. I had to pair it CONSTANTLY, Finally I decided to contact Vizio support via Twitter to see if there was anything I could do to fix this. It turns out that I needed to update the firmware. Ok so I go to their website I follow the steps to the letter insert the thumb drive and it just won’t update. I try this no less than a dozen times yet the old firmware still exists. I called Vizio, and they decide to send me another sound bar, in a few weeks I receive the sound bar, hook it up and everything sounds great. I decide to see what firmware I have on this unit so I press the volume buttons and it reveals that it has the old firmware like the unit before. I called Vizio, I asked them why would they send me another unit that has the old firmware? Of course they can’t answer that, I try the same exact steps to update the firmware on this unit and still nothing. I called Vizio back and let them know what’s going on and they sent me yet another sound bar. I just received this one a week or so ago, hooked it up confirmed it has the updated firmware. So far so good,but I am very disappointed that I had to go to these lengths for this sound bar. I asked Vizio why they would have this kind of update with the firmware that you had to do manually and not OTAP and of course they couldn’t answer. The whole process is very disappointing, I had one of the first Vizio TVs back in the day and up till recently I was a fan but I do not think I will be purchasing anything Vizio going forward.

Not Bad

I wouldn't recommend it to people who are really into quality sound. They may need a little more work in terms of clean and crisp sound, but for the cost, it's good.

A short in the subwoofer or the rear speakers?

Almost immediately the rear speakers crackle badly. Have checked all connections. Nothing doing. What a drag. And best of all. I'm a total tech member and they can't get out here for 8 days to have a service tech come to look at it so he can tell me. Yes, there's a short. We need to replace it and then it'll probably be another 8 days before I actually have a working sound system. Geek Squad Best buy Total Tech is not what it used to be by far.

Nothing special and weak bass

I was having issues with it, so I exchanged it for the LG S75QR, which was on sale for the same price. The LG sounds exponentially better, especially the subwoofer, which gives nice deep bass.

After 30 days it keep intermittently losing audio,

I have done everything I found on the Vizio support site, including upgrading the firmware. But the issue persists. when it is working the sound is great, but every 5 minutes the audio cuts out for 3 seconds.
