(My old $99 Sony sounds better for music, but has no surround and fewer options). Unfortunately, at this point I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work any time the TV is turned back on. It was fine a few weeks ago when I bought it, but it's getting worse. I installed the latest firmware shortly after I bought it based on suggestions in other reviews.

save your money get the v series

Even if your Tv didnt have arc all you would need is a 4k hdmi splitter for 13 dollars zero signal loss. the m series is seriously lacking big time. The subwoofer is way too small for this price. if it had an 8 inch woofer. i could see 279 being a correct price point...

Great… when it works

It was great, when it worked The HDMI arc would screw up all the time and just stop working. I tried multiple TVs and cables. Same issue Now after a year it just stopped working and Visio told me that there’s nothing I can do so I’m out a 300 dollar sound bar

Never Again Vizio

Just paid this off and the subwoofer is already blown. It makes a horrific sound when deep bass is present. I’m extremely delicate with my electronics so I assure you it’s a build quality issue. I just had a Vizio 4K tv go out after 2 years of light use so yeah I’m done with Vizio.

I've had it for about two years now, so I know what I'm talking about. Had to replace the remote twice do to the display going blank. In fact, the remote died first just a few months after purchase. The decoder for Atmos, DTS:X died last year so now it justs seems to mute when playing content in those formats. It's not even worth the price, which I thought at the time was a steal, but looks like they were actually stealing from me. Save your money and get a reliable device.

Hot garbage

The problem is that I constantly had to unplug the tv and sound bar and reset them anytime I changed the input on what I was watching. Even when I didn’t change it I still would have to reset everything if I turned off the tv.

Poor quality or just defective?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dead on arrival. Product seemed to be super buggy. Switching between audio inputs resulted in the device sometimes announcing which input it is on... sometimes not. Remote is sometimes unresponsive.... sometimes not. Almost like there is interference at times when trying to use it but all other remotes I own work fine in the same area. Sound quality was hard to judge since the sub was not operational but the audio quality from the speakers lacked depth and sound stage. The sound bar itself feels and looks nice and heavy.... but I am not certain what they put in there because the sound is hallow and tinny for being such a long heavy bar. Disclaimer: The sub DID NOT WORK out of the box. Speakers plugged into it work fine, the sub produces no noise /white noise. I troubleshot the product with Vizio tech support who wanted to argue with me about the serial number, eventually having me send them pictures because they kept saying my SN was incorrect (it was correct). I am guessing the product may be new enough they have not registered all the SN? What a mess. I cannot exchange it for another one since the store is now sold out, and I am not certain I really want to after the experience I did have.
