A great looking TV. I don't have any 4K content to view on it, but the picture is still very clear and the colors are beautiful. The HDR is a big boost to any videogames that take advantage of it as well.

This is a great television. The image quality is very good for the price and the hdr capabilities mean that it should be future proof for a while. The built in speakers are mediocre, but everything else is great. I also am a fan of the SmartCast feature. It has worked seamlessly for me. I am using my phone instead of the included device, but having the device in the box is a nice touch. This is my second vizio television. My 1080 Vizio has had no issues in the 5 years I owned it so I'm hoping to have the same reliability.

Picked this up as a display unit from the store. Purchased for roughly 50% off original price, and absolutely love it. My partner and I like to game side by side, and my tv is so much better than his. Vivid pictures, and 4k looks amazing.

Beautiful image when not to much action going on. Could handle heavy motion better. Xbox and 4k hdr content looks amazing. Lack of tuner not an issue for me and the tablet for a remote works well enough if you are used to casting content. Not for people not comfortable with tech.

in terms of value proposition, you won't beat this TV if you want 4k and HDR content. very good picture, streaming is simple, and latency send good while using the gaming mode. using all apps to control the TV is a little weird, but a good cost saving feature. my only small complaint is with the tablet included as a remote - there's no IR blaster, so I've been using my phone as a universal remote instead.

Nice TV and stylish. I like the silver stripe on the sides. Besides, this TV is not for everyone, especially for those who are used to access their favorite streaming app on the TV screen or by a dedicated button on the remote. The Vizio M50-D1 relies on a tablet where every streaming app is installed via Google Play store. This approach lets you have more freedom and choice in terms of application you can use. You are no longer limited by the apps the TV manufacturer decides to put on the TV or make available through their proprietary app store. Even if the Tablet is mainly relying on Google Play Store, you still can use other app stores like Amazon Underground to install applications no longer supported by Google, like Amazon Video, which was recently removed from Google App Store. The TV has a great picture and if fr some reason your image is not as good as you think it should be, it is likely the fault of your cable provider,. The Vizio M50 has support for HDR and more recently HDR 10 after a firmware update made available by Vizio. I believe this TV is a great buy and I got it for a stunning price thanks to Bestbuy price matching Costco . The service was excellent at Bestbuy Gwinett, my sales rep did a great job. Conclusion, If you want a good 4K at a decent price with HDR 10 support and the freedom to use the TV app you want then go for the Vizio M series, you wont regret it.

Nice picture and nice android tablet remote.Great for casting showbox kodi.The remote screen is a bit timid at times can be unresponsive may be just random..Get a 1 yr warranty at the least.I got this after my other died 1 year and 3 weeks.so 3 weeks out of manufacturing warranty.

Not the best model, but not the worst. Has great full array back-lighting and HDR capabilities, not to mention the tablet remote. Do wish the built in casting would act more like a normal cast device, but sometimes it seems that not everything connects like it does with my normal cast devices. still its only intermittent when this happens.

The only issue with the TV, which I knew it had when buying was that there is no direct connection for cable. But all the positives for the TV outweighed this issue. The picture quality is great, it is easy to calibrate, and the tablet is easy to use and connect to the TV. Overall it has been a great product and I have no complaints.

This 50 inch television was a perfect fit for the space I needed to fill. The colors are vibrant, and 480p, 720p, 1080i/p, and 2160p footage all look terrific. The built in cast feature works great on wireless AC, with the wifi router next to the TV, and 4k Netflix streams great. I tried to manually set the TV to use the wired LAN connection, but it would initialize randomly and make the wifi remote lose its connection. 4 HDMI ports are a bonus, although they seem to be picky as to cables and/or source. One laptop HDMI connection kept losing/reconnecting audio, while another device connected via mini-display port to HDMI converter to TV would lose audio completely when changing files in Media Player Classic, and would have to be unplugged and reattached. A PS3 had no HDMI connection Issues that I noticed, so 1 for 3 isn't bad I suppose. I think the current mantra for the connections is "maybe the next firmware update will fix it." Remember when TV's just worked? As for the TV's sound, you can hear it, but it's nothing to remark upon other than that there are speakers. Overall, Loving the TV.

This tv has a great picture and for the price you can't beat it! My only complaint would be for the included tablet. The Visio app can be kind of finicky and can change the input on you somewhat randomly. I've also turned off the tv only to come back later and the tv is back on! Usually best to just quit out of the Visio app when you don't need to use it. Other than that it looks great!

Vizio sent me this display in exchange for a review. I’m very happy with the VIZIO M50-D1 SmartCast Ultra HD Home Theater Display. From the ease of setup to the ultra-convenient 6″ Android tablet remote control and SmartCast feature that allows me to find and watch my favorite shows, to the gorgeous UHD 4K image that makes all my favorite shows and movies a joy to watch. If you're shopping for a new display for your home theater, definitely take a look at VIZIO’s M-series displays. I know you’ll be as impressed as I am.

This is the 3rd Vizio that I’ve owned. They’re easy to set up and user friendly. I always look for sales on Vizio products.

Upgraded my Vizio to this model. The color/picture options could be a bit better but its ok. The remote it awesome. I stream a lot of facebook videos from the remote to the TV. Video games look AMAZING on this TV. Wish I could find a screen protector for the remote.

The tablet was such a bad idea that they are now sending out free remotes.

We purchased the TV to replace a plasma TV that died in an electrical storm. We are very pleased with the picture quality of this LCD TV. The only concern we have is that it sits on small legs on either side, rather than a more substantial center pedestal. Being thin and light weight, we need to be more careful about the possibility of knocking it over. Also, the screen is very reflective and you can see light (lamps) reflections in it very easily, so it is better with the lights off when viewing.

I love my Vizo television! When i first got it, there was a problem with the computer inside, however geeksquad fixed it up and it was easy to work with them... never had an issue with the tv since. It’s perfect that it comes with a regular remote, as well as a tablet remote to cast music or netflix to. I can also use my phone to cast. The product is above and beyond what i wouldve dreamed for my first home tv purchase.
