Really nice picture especially if you have a 4K amazon streaming box or something like it. Pair it with the Visio sound bar and wireless sub and it this makes a great system for the bedroom!

Got this TV from Best Buy. I'd been looking for 49"-50" 4K TV with HDR around $400. The new TCL 49S515 (49S517) and this Vizio came into consideration. The new TCL already had enough reviews (most of them were positive), but this Vizio had only a few reviews (the ones from Google search were mostly part of a contest, so I'd say it's a bit bias). I went to a local Best Buy to compare them in person, but neither one of them was on display. So picking up this Vizio was not based on the reviews on this TV itself, but based on the reviews on TCL. Even though reviews on TCL were mostly good, but many of the reviews said negative things about the HDR and/or Dolby Vision bad performance. And the lack of component port on TCL made me take a chance on Vizio. I needed 4 HDMI for my devices (STB, Chromecast, Apple TV, 4k player, and X Box). Since neither of these TVs has 4 HDMI, I made a compromise with 3 HDMI and 1 component. Vizio already has Chromecast built in, so the 3 HDMI are for Apple TV, 4K player, and X Box. STB uses the component port (I believe STB doesn't have 4K content, so component is good enough). The picture quality is good (but deteriorates at angle; I believe it's common on VA panel). HDR and Dolby Vision works fine. Setting up was easy. Sound is not bad. Remote control is good. Built quality / design is ok (nothing's special). Chromecast works fine. However casting 4K YouTube video from a smartphone or a tablet through Wi-Fi won't give me a 4K video. And there's no option to change the video quality to get 4K. The YouTube app on TV itself does give me 4K for 4K video. In order to get 4K quality from casting YouTube 4K video, I need to connect the YouTube app on my phone or tablet to the TV's YouTube app by linking them based on TV code instead of Wi-Fi. And I need to open the Youtube app on the TV before casting a YouTube video (not on Smartcast home itself). Why casting instead of using TV app? To me it's easier to do video search on my phone or tablet than to do it on TV app. I wish that there was a way to add an app (apps are limited; not a problem if you have a dedicated streaming device). Smartcast is not so snappy. Input source could be better. Sometimes it gives me a black screen (I hear the sound, but no picture). Turning the TV off and on again fix the problem. Power savingmode is the default and it makes turning TV on/off a bit of pain. It can be changed in setting though. So far so good for me. Hopefully nothing will come as a bad surprise in the near future.

This was a great purchase because: 1) As someone who dislikes smart TVs, the fact that this just has Chromecast is a great compromise. 2) It's a 4K TV with Dolby Digital HDR10! Gaming on my PS4 Pro had never looked better! 3) A smart, 4K/HDR TV with COMPONENT inputs? Thank you! 4) A great sized screen; not too small & not to big.

This tv is amazing. I brought it for my daughters first apartment and it was more than she expected. Great picture, 4K clarity and smart tv capability. This is definitely worth the price, I may have to buy another for my spare room .

I was originally looking at a TCL 5 series but after some back and forth decided on this Vizio. So far I have been impressed. I have a 2017 M series and this TV holds it's own in every way. The picture quality is great. HDR is perfectly fine. The details in the picture is really impressive. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Where can I start.First off this tv is amazing such in depth colors,UHD 4k for such a low price.I really didnt know what expect when I purchased this TV but I was not dissapointed. My only complain will be that the youtube tv app was not installed the tv was not compatible but magically after a few days and one update later I now have youtube and youtube TV will definitely recommend this TV so far so good.

Purchased for the Living room. This TV has a nice picture straight on. It starts fading out quickly as you move to the side. Put a sound bar with it to help fill out the sound. The blacks could be better. Not true black to my eyes. It is still going strong. I have always had good luck with Vizio TV's.

Good quality picture. Great features and built in applications. The provided remote needs to be improved. The built in speakers provide sufficient volume and quality sound. Recommend taking advantage of the volume leveling feature. If not, you will be looking for the remote constantly to adjust the volume.

This Vizio 50" TV is indeed smart and is so easy to use. The picture quality is excellent and is NOT even on cable or satellite. I can stream Netflix without having anything special to do it. The speakers are very good on it too. It was a perfect choice!

And it works. Set it in portrait and put a frame around it. The colors are awesome, the contrast is great. The viewing angle is not. But, I guess I was kinda expecting it. Great value.

Purchased his TV for my master bedroom. I love all the included apps and features of this television. It is a great economical television with a lot of features for the price.

Bought this TV after movers damaged the screen on a previous Vizio TV. This TV has great 4K quality image. Great features and apps.

Didn’t take long for the tv to programm. Great color, easy to set up and navigate. Comes with all the apps I was looking for (netflix, youtube, amazon, etc)

Has excellent picture quality, i dont have the 4k on my ps4 but just the hdr alone i see an amazing difference in the color
