Good TV but software menus didn't agree with me.

I was undecided on this TV or the LG TV. The picture was great on this one and very bright. The sound was not great but I didn't expect great sound from a TV and I planned to have a sound bar connected anyway. The only problem I had with the tv was the software menus I could not get to work right for me. This is a personal thing for each user however, I could not seem to get the TV guide menu options to work for me on the remote. I would hit the button I thought was menu to get the TV guide up, and it would start re scanning for my antenna channels. This was very annoying to me and I decided to return this for the LG tv. I think this TV was good but I could never get used to the menus and needed something a bit easier for me to navigate. Not the TVs fault more personal preference I think.

Picture quality was great. Unfortunately the ethernet and Wi-Fi malfunctioned and could not be restored. Glad I purchased the Geek Squad extra coverage!

Our Choice for 4K Tv and Atmos Nirvana

We wanted to upgrade our old 6 year old 42" TV and had room to expand to a 50". Initially we chose a Hisense, 50" U6G; great TV, great picture, great price. We also wanted to improve our old sound bar; and chose a Vizio, Dolby Atmos (RTings best under $500, $350 at BestBuy). We discovered the Hisense did not support Dolby Atmos; their literature said it did, however, it was greyed out on the Sound Menu. We returned that (thankyou BestBuy for your no questions asked policy) and bought a Vizio 50", M-Series TV with eARC, and HDMI 2.1 (do a little research on Google on that, truly important). So, set up was easy and flawless, 4k picture is wonderful (hey, outside of the internet and the TV store, you will NEVER notice the small discrepancies between TVs). Dolby Atmos is amazing. TV, $500, sound bar, $350. We hope this is useful to you in your buying journey, I did dozens of hours of research, returned a TV and Sound Bar to settle on this, I am happy I did that.

M7 is much better than M6

I originally bought the M6 and was really unhappy with the picture quality. The color was so light and everything looked washed out. I had spent the extra money and went with QLED instead of the regular LED and it looked horrible. I then started researching online and found a review that talked about the M6 vs M7. It mentioned how the M7 had deeper blacks. That was my selling point. I returned the M6 and got the M7 for an extra $100. OMG! What a difference. I love the picture quality of the M7. Do NOT buy the M6. Spend a little more and get the M7. It is really really really worth it.

If you are looking for a TV with apps for streaming or to mirror your device (iPhone), look no further. This TV has great sound and picture and real easy to set up. Got it for a steal on Black Friday, I was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger on purchasing it but glad I did.

I purchased this TV few days ago and I am pretty disappointed. I mean you get what you pay for. I liked that it had HDMI 2.1 for PS5 and also AMD Freesync. This TV was going into my office/cave room. Don't ever think that you are getting something extra for paying this much. I mean it was $600. First of all, TV is bulky. Its pretty thick. But OK, not a big deal. The first thing I noticed when I unpacked it was that chrome Vizio lettering was crooked (letter O). Come on, don't tell me you can't apply letters properly. Second thing I noticed was when I looked down on the screen where the bottom bezel is, there was a gap and I could see the light shining thru. Backlight or something, I don't know exactly. Also when the screen was white, you could see the corners being darker. Now, that's not even it. User interface is outdated. It lags pretty bad. You cannot pick and choose which apps you want to display, you can just re-order them. Switching between inputs lags and its confusing the way it works. You cannot set default input. Now, software was updated as soon as I connected to the internet, so that wasn't an issue. Another mysterious issue, which was what made me return this TV, was that It froze on me couple of times. Remote wasn't working, screen was black, but light that shows that TV was on, was still lit. I waited a little bit and pressed buttons and nothing. I had to unplug the TV and turn it back on and it worked. Last night it happened again, just froze. Had to unplug the cord again. This was all within 3 days. Also, the speakers didn't sound that good. Anyway, I wanted to like this TV and wanted to enjoy it, but I cannot justify paying $600 and deal with freezing issues, lag and quality control. I ended up spending a little more and getting LG Nanocell 90. I will review that one once I pick it up today.

It worked ok, however now I have the black screen of death. Purchased February 2022. Was watching tv, screen just went black, no fix, even after hard reset… convenient. I will be honest, the picture and features were good while it lasted. I have another 12 yo Vizio going strong. It seems to be a prevalent issue with the newer Vizio TVs.

We upgraded our old Vizio to this one for our bedroom and returned it in less than a week. Visually it was great - sound was much under our expectations. Our old version we were able to listen at 11 clearly — this one we had to crank it above 25 to get the same experience… and it was still muffled. We played with the sound settings and nothing improved. Not sure if we just got a bad speaker in ours, but we exchanged for a larger Hisense.

For a medium size TV, this Vizio has a great image quality. HDR+ and Dolby Vision deliver spectacular and vibrant video. The Calibrated Dark setting is very faithful in regards of movies and filmic material. The menu is basic and has a bunch of useful apps, but overall is way below Fire TVs or Google TVs. The audio is decent but I recommend to add a soundbar to enhance the spectacular images.
