I've always been a Visio fan. I bought two 55 inch E Series models the 2160 and a 1080 for the bed room. The living room is hooked to a Denon AVR x1300w receiver, a set of QSC monitors, a Yamaha sub, and Definitive Technology center channel and surround speakers. The system rocks and I'll be lucky if I don't go to jail as my neighbor is not appreciative of my love of 21 Pilots! Oh well! The video on both sets is great though some tweaking of the knobs was necessary. The 2180 has a better picture overall though it's the source that varies and determines it. I've got less than 900 in these two sets total! Great value!

We purchased this TV on Wednesday before Thanksgiving to provide entertainment for the family during NFL football. It was recommended by the Best Buy rep and I couldn't be more satisfied with the decision to go with this one. The picture is excellent and the Vizio Cast is a huge plus. The price was definitely worth not having to deal with the hassle of the Thanksgiving crowds.

Beautiful picture Remote is basic but is meant to be used with their smart app for your phone. Took a little to get use to, and now isn't an issue. Always have my phone on me and never worry about looking for the remote. Very clear audio and picture quality is super sharp.

I found out it's better to buy a TV that is a display without the tuner because it's cheaper and how many times do you use the tuner if you have satellite or cable? This worked for me.

I have been very impressed with this 4K TV. The picture quality is great, colors look vibrant and pop, and the blacks are very dark. 4K videos from my Apple TV looks great. The sound quality was ok, however I paired the TV with my Vizio soundbar and it sounds excellent. Vizio has an app that easily allows your smart devices to connect and have full control over your TV which is super convenient. The tablet remote that is included is a little slow, and just adds another device for you to use which is a little unnecessary. However, you DON'T have to use this. Your regular Apple or Android device will work for this. The app and the TV set have both received frequent updates, to fix and bugs that have popped up. So I've been very happy with their customer service and tech support. They updated their streaming system on the TV and sent an updated remote with more features for quick launching these streaming apps. While this feature is nice, the TV also comes equipped with Chromecast, which makes the whole process even easier. As long as you are on the same wifi network as your TV, once you select something to watch on your device and press the Chromecast button (on Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc.) It will launch on the tv in a matter of seconds Overall I am very pleased with this device, it is a very affordable entry level 4K TV and a great bargain!

Great tv for the price. For my needs it does all i need it to do. If you want all the extra adjustments and a little better picture then you will want to go up a class or two. But I can't complain about it, but if you don't have a cable box or satellite box then you are out of luck because this tv does not have a built in tuner. Also if you are a gamer you will also probably want to step up to a higher class tv. But the picture on this one is pretty amazing.

the reason I purchased this tv is because I was looking for a 4K tv for gaming and I also wanted a smart tv. This being my first smart tv I haven't used too many features other than the built in chrome cast which works perfectly. Now I can give my old chrome cast away. I've only had the tv for about a month and I don't have any gripes so far. For anyone reading this interested the smart portion is controlled only on the smart cast app on your phone. The pairing is simple and once it's completed your good to go. Picture quality is great, 4 hdmi ports, Ethernet port if you want a hardwire connection for internet. The easiest thing was finding a wall mount for this tv, the box as well as vizio's website give all the needed dimensions to find a proper wall mount. I'm very pleased with this tv and I would definitely recommend it over those really overpriced smart 4K tvs, lets all be honest they all do the same exact thing.

For all the features you get with this TV it is a great deal. Pros: 4k UHD with HDR Chromecast some built in streaming apps (I've used Netflix and Hulu) Vivid colors Decent 4k upconverting 120hz refresh rate (have not noticed ghosting watching football or playing video games) No TV tuner (not a con because this is a home theater display, not a television). Easy add-on of an HDMI over the air tuner box or just use your cable/satellite box.

Purchased this as an upgrade to an Aging Vizio M series that I'd owned for a few years. Big selling point was the size and cast ability through google home. The XLED engine is pretty solid at this price range, especially for some 4K youtube. Colors are flat than saturated, which I personally don't mind. Some people want the exaggerated colors but I like more natural colors. The TV provides plenty of color profiles though, from vivid, to calibrated dark. I have Cox cable so as far as that, the 4K upscaling seems to lack, but when scaling any other content it does a solid job. Viewing angles seem fine, But i Must say there's definitely a stronger glare on this set than on my M series. The size difference may lend to that, but I'm not sure. I'm a big gamer, I chose this over the comparable Samsung 6 series TV, Lag input seems on par with my Old M series, and that set had a Higher refresh rate. The Samsun is rated better for gaming but for an older xbox one, gaming is on par with my M series. I will say Certain games cause this weird motion blur, I assume thats because it's trying to scale up to 4K and that the TV is crossing pixels? It's only noticeable if you're really looking for it though. Otherwise it's solid. The ONLY downside to this TV are the speakers. I expected better speakers on it, Comparing it to my M series? The speakers are flat. They lack any type of depth, of course there's a good chance nobody is buying a TV without a sound bar, But the TV itself distorts at anything higher than a volume level of 35. Overall it's a solid set. It offers everything that's needed for 4K especially the Deep blacks of an OLED TV. I'd easily recommend it to anyone.

I bought this 4K UHD TV to replace my vizio 42 inch that wasn't a "smart TV". I shopped around for over a month and finally decided on this set due to price and features. I plugged it in hooked everything up and turned it on. It was surprising at how easy it was to set up. It asks you a few questions, then you sing into your modem and your done. The picture is a LOT better than the HD TV I had. Now I did find a few things I didn't like about the picture quality. On some of the "Broadcast" channels the picture quality isn't all that great however I do understand why. An UHD TV will "upgrade" lower quality channels to as close to UHD as it can manage and still look good. Some of those lower quality channels don't translate well but it isn't all that bad. It seems that only the darker background scenes (like its night time or a pitch black room) the LEDs have a difficult time making it a single color so you will see these light shades of a very dim white grayish color pixel-ate through out the black areas. Luckily this TV has back lighting. for just this problem. Turn up the back light and most of it goes away. Chrome cast and smart cast are EXTREMELY easy to use. If you have smart cast app on your phone or tablet then your pretty much set to use either to control the TV. There are buttons on the back of the TV that will allow you to scroll through the different HDMI hookups and to smart-cast as well as the volume and on/off buttons if you loose the remote but if you have smart cast then you it really doesn't matter where the remote is. This TV does have Bluetooth however the only thing I have found that it will work with is a Bluetooth enabled device such as your phone tablet or an amazon echo dot or Alexa but it will NOT connect to a sound bar via Bluetooth. At least if it does I have not found the way to do it yet and I have been searching EVERYWHERE for instructions on how to do it even the "how-to videos" that are included in the smart cast support section on the TV menu screens. I am REALLY good with electronics and figuring them out but this one feature of Bluetooth I believe does not exist between the sound bar and Bluetooth connections. It does have an HDMI ARC port however which is better than a Bluetooth connection because arc will allow you to control the sound bars volume with the TVs remote. So make sure the sound bar you buy has an HDMI ARC out connection on it before you buy it. I went through the TVs spec list and found something I do not like. In the description of this TV it says it has a refresh rate of 120 HTz but the specs say its 60 Htz NOT 120 HTz. This is important because of something called motion blurring. Fast objects will look fuzzy or out of focus for a few seconds. The descriptions says nothing about it being 60 HTz with software that makes it appear to be 120 HTz it states flat out its 120 HTz with Clear Action 360 enhancements. Well the TVs specs itself says its 60 HTz so MAKE SURE YOU SEE 120 HTz on the TV your buying if its important to you. I have noticed a few images on this TV that have blurred when in fast motion but it doesn't do it always. Car chases or fight scenes I haven't noticed it but if someone is putting on a TEE Shirt or something that is done extremely fast and extremely quick small movement such as that it definitely blurs and it is noticeable hopefully in time I will not notice is as much but only time will tell. Sound is another issue with this TV. They do NOT match the picture quality of this TV. They are bad in my opinion. they sound high pitched with out any depth or bass to them at all. Its a very auditorium kind of sound with out the echo. Really bad speaker quality. I was extremely surprised when I heard the very 1st sound come out of them. It is almost like the sound system was an after thought when they put this thing together. I mean one of those "OMG, We forgot the speakers and we don't have any more room for good quality sounding speakers" kind of thing BUT that can be easily changed by buying a Sound bar or 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system. Who knows that might have been what they meant all along. Other than those few things I don't have any more issues with this TV. UHD Movies are UNBELIEVABLE if you are upgrading from a 1080P or 1080I picture then YOU WILL love this picture. I love being able to stream movies and even 1080P and I movies look great as well. It is a very crisp picture quality. This TV does automatically detect and even increases the picture quality as it downloads the movie. I mean if the movie is 4K but you download or streaming speed is only 5 mb/sec then you streaming speed determines what picture quality you will get. If its slow it can be as low as 720p if its fast it change the quality to 2160 or 4K UHD and it does this seamlessly. I cant really tell when changes from one to the other. The Apps are already on the this TV under the smart cast input and sorry but you can not download any apps and install them on the TV. You can download them to your smart device and then display the movie your watching or music your listening to on the smart device on the TV via Chrome-cast and it is very simple to use. just touch the mirroring tile at the top of the app your using and select the tv when the option comes up on your phone and sit back and watch it on the big screen. A child can literally use this TV and will be able to find every single option, app, support video etc..on this TV and be a pro at using with in a few hours. An Adult that isn't tech savvy well it might take you a bit longer maybe a day. lol Okay I have literally said to much so I hope you get some info from my review and I hope it helps you make an informed decision when buying this Tv. .

tv has a great image. The speakers are behind the tv as with most televisions, a sound bar would be a good addition. I use the tv as a monitor for my 4k laptop also. It works very well for that! i can do my work from anywhere in my room. The TV is smart and comes with apps. However the only complaint i have is that the processor in the TV sometimes doesn't load Netflix smoothly. So the image gets grainy and pixelated due to loading. To eliminate this i run netflix through my laptop which has more processing power. This only occurs on sundays at like 8pm when lots of people are online. My internet runs slow then.

So far, I am pleased with my purchase of this tv. I’m not really an expert on picture quality, but it’s pretty good in my opinion. There are times when it’s not as sharp, but it’s not that big of a deal. The sound quality is fair. I love the smart feature and the ability to basically use my phone as a remote. It makes it so much easier and quicker to search for things in the app on my phone and then cast it to the tv.
