After my last HDTV suddenly and unexpectedly died on me after 10 years of service, I frantically began looking for a replacement. I read through the reviews and eventually checked out the options in the local Best Buy. After consulting with a techno-savvy friend and following his recommendation, I checked out the 55" Vizio. I had first looked at the 50" inch model, but my friend convinced me to get the same 55" inch he had purchased from Best Buy. The picture quality is good, and the price was great. A few reviews noted that there were issues with the sound quality. I didn't notice this issue, even before installing the sound bar I have. The set up was fast and easy. The options available were almost too overwhelming with this TV. I'm slowly learning all the tricks. I was very lucky that the day that I went into Best Buy to purchase the TV that the customer representative who assisted me was incredibly knowledgeable about the product. Definitely one of my best purchases from Best Buy!

I needed a TV for my man cave but, didn't want to kill my wallet. This TV exceeded all my expectations. From it's smart capabilities, HDR and other picture features. This displays a beautiful 4k image and it is very easy to cast from any of your devices to the tv using Netflix, Hulu, Spotify etc. This TV out performs a 55" Sony I bought 6 months prior for my living room that was around $300 more than this Vizio.

After reading a ton of reviews I decided to buy this tv. You won't find a better screen for the cost. The picture looks good. Even 480p content from a Wii looks decent. There's also no jitter or other weirdness watching sports. 4 HDMI, and 1 component input give you a fair amount of hookups. With Chromecast Ultra built in you can cast 4K content from your mobile device your computer. There isn't a tuner built in, so if you want to watch tv over the air you'll need a different tv, or another way to get OTA content to your monitor. If you have a cable box, or just plan on using streaming devices your good to go. Is it the best tv available? Nope. Is it the best 55" tv around the $500 price point? Yes (arguably, but yes.)

Great TV decent color, decent up scaling, pretty good for gaming too with none of that ghosting effect, decent sound from the 2 10w speakers actually use this one in the bedroom without additional spake setups. Chrome cast function is A1 probably my favorite feature, my only grope is with the smart cast app it needs some fine tuning it's been getting better over the years just sometimes the initial setup with it sucks (you don't have to use it though it comes with a remote and Chrome cast features work fine with no need for smart cast app I just use it as a remote)

This Vizio meets our needs perfectly. Picture is clear and easy to see from all angles. Best I've ever owned. Setup was a charm and took about 30 minutes. Researched online and in store before buying. Not so sure yet about casting. Will work on it when my wife and I take a break from watching our favorites on the new improved screen.

This is my first UHD and first large-screen TV. I am very pleased with the clarity and colors of the picture. I like the apps and additional features included with this TV. The sound from the internal speakers seemed to be ok although I have some Klipsch speakers hooked up to it that provide really good sounds.

bough this 55 inch model on sale ,the only cons i can think of after owning it a month is the limited side viewing angle,it seems to look washed out a little bit to me,and no tv tuner ,but other than that, the app you have to use to set up the picture and wifi is simple to use ,its fun to chromecast stiuff from my phone and pc to this monitor, its kinda cool,and has lots of options to adjust colors ,and contrasts values, etc...viewing 4K content it looks amazing to me but this is my first 4k experience,overall, pleasanly suprised for under 500 bucks

Works great, for the price. However the remote function is not that great. Would be better with a regular remote. Also the connection through the smart cast app on the phone takes too long. Other than that picture and sound are great.

I bought a 70” Vizio TV a few years back that was rated really well and was amazed with it. When it came time for a birthday present for my boy, I didn’t think twice and found the Vizio model that would work best for his bedroom. It’s a nice TV and he’s pleased with it, but a few months later, I decided to buy a TV for the master bedroom and checked out Consumer Reports first. Ended up getting a Samsung model that cost 50% more for the same size but what a helluva great picture. We all could tell the difference. Gotta decide what matters to you, tho, and make the price / performance tradeoff. A few dollars for a one month Consumer Reports subscription, tho, can make a heckuva difference, cause higher price doesn’t always result in improved performance. Shop wisely my friends

Bought this at a great price as a Open Box item. I couldn't be more happier about it. The picture quality for 1080p is excellent. I don't have any 4k sources so, can't comment on that. Easy to setup. Definitely recommend.

I bought my vizio 1 year ago. It's the best tv I've ever owned. It supports 4K which I haven't used much because of available content but the picture is superb. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I bought the last out of box 50" Vizio my Sarasota store had left and I love it. The picture is great, features are fantastic, and the price was a bargain. I had a smaller Vizio that I bought over 5 years ago and never had a problem.

Very nice 2 nd tv, picture quality is nice, especially for gaming, price was better than expected and was able to purchase sound bar to enhance the theater experience

I was looking for a good size flat screen LED with at least a 120 refresh rate. This Vizio was on sale for a great price and so far has not disappointed while viewing TV or while gaming. Super easy to set up as well

The TV works good and has a good picture. I was not happy with the remote. It doesn't do much at all. You have download an app on your phone to make adjustments.

Bought this TV after browsing Costco, for 40-55" definitely a better deal that what they have right now (August 2017). With the built in chromecast you are saving yourself an additional $35. Other TVs with their own smart functions are slow and clunky in my opinion, so chromecast is ideal. Some connectivity issues at times, simply turn off and on, but other than that great display for a decent price.

My wife surprised me with this tv. It was an upgrade from our old one just in time for football season! Hooking it up was easy and the picture is great! We did need to adjust the color but that was simple. We love the SmartCast and ChromeCast features! You are able to control the tv with your phone. I go on youtube and watch live concerts all the time. I love this tv and would recommend getting it. I even decided to get the Vizio sound bar and sub which gave the tv a great boost! We love watching movies, sports like boxing, football, baseball and the picture is always great!

Exceptional Picture, easy to setup and control. Sound could use some help but a soundbar fixes that. Enjoy.

Love the 4k. This was a replacement for another 55" flat screen, but you get the feeling that this one is a bit bigger. It works great with other devices, and it doesn't take long to figure out how to work the chromecast on it. My only wish is that the remote came with more options. But you can always download the controller app to your smart phone and go from there.

Awesome TV at a good price. Beautiful, bright picture, great sound even without my sound bar. Easy to set up with my computer and cable company. Love smart TV capabilities.
