Great TV but glitches

Set up didn't take long and the picture is very clear and crisp. What I can't stand is that it "glitches". When we first turn the tv on, the screen turns on to whatever station it was on before but it will flash a white screen every couple seconds so then we have to turn the tv off and back on until it goes away.

Thought it was good until..

BUT, for some reason the screen turns off. It just turns off and all you see is the logo. I am going to see what the manufacturer says and if they will blame me as a user for buying it. When the product works it is great.
