You need to sit nearly direct center to view the optimal picture. Off side or high will not give you good results. This is not a problem for me. One aside. The instructions printed on the top of the carton (and also inside the box) shows how to remove the tv from the box. However it does not even remotely describe the box and tv I received. I was supposed to place the box on its side and with the help of a friend pull it out of the box. Whoa! There is nothing to grip. I finally noticed four plastic 'things' near the bottom of the carton. I squeezed them and they came out. Once removed I could lift the box up and over to free the set. Setup was simple and went smoothly then. I am now enjoying my new purchase!

Good tv. Has apps and casting features. Sometimes you have to hit the power button a few times before it will turn on and it has frozen up twice, needing to be unplugged and plugged back in. But overall it's...ok.

One of the cheaper 4K TV's, but don't let that fool you. This TV has been fantastic straight out of the box. While it is unfortunate that you are only allowed the apps that come pre-programmed, it still has 18 of them, which is more than enough. The picture is clean and crisp prior to calibration, and I have yet to experience lag while gaming. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a 4K TV under $1,000

Purchased this TV before Black Friday, when it was on sale for $649. Picture Quality is awesome. Only complaint is the sound quality. Ended up using the money saved to purchase a Vizio Sound Bar. Money well spent.

I love this TV! It has super crisp picture. I mostly use it for Netflix and gaming with my PS4 Pro and Switch. For the PS4, I had to purchase a higher quality HDMI cable in order for the video connection to remain stable when turning on 4k + HDR. If you find that your higher resolution devices struggle to work with the TV, you probably need a better cable.

Full width screen (very little frame). Great picture. Sound ok, I run through a Vizio sound bar and subwoofer (means I only need one remote). It’s not so fast to start especially into the app zone.

I was given a unit in exchange for an unbiased review. The Vizio P-Series 55-inch 4K HDR television does not disappoint in terms of picture quality and features. If you're looking for a great 4K TV for under $1,000, then this TV could be for you. To start with, the Vizio P-Series comes with 5 HDMI ports -- at v2.0a with HDCP 2.2, so there's never an issue with 4K content viewing. Then, there's the three-sided, bezel-less design, allowing the unit to fit into pretty much any home (or otherwise) decor. In fact, Vizio did a great job of shielding the front of the TV for the unboxing process; with such designs, it's always wise to be careful because bezel-less designs make it easier to bruise the screen otherwise. Vizio included four ways to control the TV -- via the included IR remote, through the SmartCast Mobile app, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa. As far as picture quality is concerned, it's simply top notch. Vizio has included the following points for this 2018 model: - 56 dimming zones (for this 55-inch model) -- and there truly is no light bleed, something that's common with larger monitors - Up to 1000 nits peak brightness - Includes support for HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Hybrid-Log Gamma (HLG) It's not necessary to understand the technicals, they simply translate the picture from satellite, cable or Internet into a fantastic view, allowing an array of picture modes to best suit content being played. Speaking of Internet, the Vizio P-Series TV features its own 802.11ac dual-band wifi. As soon as the TV turns on, it's able to access the Internet. The setup process is intuitive and straightforward, and within two minutes the main screen is available, as are various included apps that allow for both free and paid content-watching. The Vizio P-Series 55-inch 4K HDR television is simply a great TV. Whether it's connectivity, picture quality, voice control or smart features that you're after, this television satisfies.

My first comment might deter you. This TV looks better in store than it does at home (don't most?). The key factor in why I chose this over cheaper models is the true black screen. Colors and pictures just show better. It is a great TV, smoothe UI, plenty of HDMI ports and smart cast. The TCL 6 is probably the better value, but you specifically wont get better colors than this.

So glad my wife talked me into taking our LG back and exchanging for this TV. So much better picture quality and farely easy to set up. Did take about 15 minutes but I have DSL internet, lol. Anyways you can't go wrong with this TV. I wanted the OLED but decided to wait for prices to come down even more.

I had been reading reviews on this Tv, and others since I was new to 4K. Based on price I went with the TCL 55" 6 series. However, I returned due to some issues with the Tv, and it lacked some features. When Best Buy dropped the price on the Vizio 55" P-Series I made the purchase. I have been please with purchase. From the 5 HDMIs, to the quality picture and sound. Great buy!

I made the mistake of first picking on the TCL and it was terrible. Returned it and picked this up instead. Picture is amazing. Hooked up my 4k apple tv and love watching 4k dolby vision on this tv. Worth the extra $50-100 than the TCL. Highly recommend!

I will say that this TV with Al the research is the best TV you can buy for the money ($699 at time of purchase) I've had 3 vizios and they are still running strong. Don't be fooled by the "pressures" of certain people to get you to buy Vizio or Sony. Great TV incredible picture, half the price.
