Don't buy Vizio!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dark blotches and shadows at 16 months and 15 days old. Google search revealed this happens to large number of P55-F1 just after warranty ends as well as most of those replacements. Stay away!

Posted .Hello Forefun, thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

Not as Samsung
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good Tv, however the Samsung has better quality. Unable to download Apps. Can only use preinstalled

Posted .Hello Manny, we are continually evaluating more applications for addition to the SmartCast input however, if there is an application that you do not see on this input the television is cast capable. This television can cast any of the thousands of Chromecast enabled applications from any mobile device that is on your network.

Not the best budget tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this tv, I had done the research and it was either this or the Sony 900f, wish I had gone with the latter. I had to return the first one cause it had 8 dead pixels which is a hassle but Best Buy has great costumer service. This tv has horrible blooming, the full array is too aggressive, horrible viewing angles and while I’m gaming I get two subtle vertical lines in the middle. Not to mention it smells like burning plastic as soon as I took it out of the box, my family can’t stand the smell and neither can I. I’m really disappointed in Vizio cause this will be the second tv I will be returning and I won’t be buying their products ever again. Had to miss two days of work just to wait on the delivery which I thought would be worth it but I ended up loosing more money in the long run. Maybe I got unlucky and got two horrible panels in a row but that’s enough to put anyone off from doing business with any company.

Save yourself the trouble
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve probably had this TV going on two years now and has nothing but issue after issue with my Vizio. The main issues that I’m having now is that the picture no longer displays... the screen is completely black as if it’s turned off, but you can still hear the audio. After doing research online I found that this and the other issue I was having was happening to others a well. The other issue I started having about six months after purchasing that the TV would cut off on its own and was very difficult to turn back on. I would attempt to turn the power back on via the remote and nothing would happen. After unplugging and plugging the TV back into the outlet a few times would eventually get it to work again. This my first and definitely my last Vizio TV purchase

Good pic quality, horrible software, avoid vizio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to reset the tv due to SmartCast issues. During reset, it got stuck on connecting to WiFi and will not move forward. The hard reset (vol down + input) does not work. We now have a 55” paperweight

Laggy as heck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The interface was super laggy. The picture quality was good at times and sometimes I could see block dots through the screen. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!

Poor Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very bad sound. The whole platform looks like it was thrown together, doesn't flow at all. Bought this to replace a Samsung, needless to say I bought another Samsung when this was returned. All in all good picture but just didn't "wow" me.

I bought a tv to be able to watch it
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This television is the worst. It turns off on its own often and most of the tv apps do not work well with it. Go to a Samsung or Sony. I’ve owned it for almost a year now.

Was amazing, at first
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first all was great. I decided to give Vizio a chance because of the amount of features and generally positive reviews. Within less than a year the TV is now longer what it seemed. First then image got jerky, but i didn't think much of it. Next the dimming started flashing with HDR content. That's when I made the connection. The panel is busted. The jerk was due to the backlight not working correctly and now it's visible with dark splotches when viewing content. Luckily I had the foresight not to trust Vizio blindly and got a warranty. It's basically an annoying paper weight. Never again going with a budget brand no matter the features. Sony, Samsung and LG from here in out only.

Picture was awesome until the back light failed
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv was awesome but the backlight failed within a year. The replacement was worse than the first and support kept pushing me off until I was out of 90 days so now I have a $600 broken tv.

Piece of garbage
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Vizio is trash, like another one I had. Went bad in 18 months. HDMI’s went bad one after another. Takes forever to turn on. Smartcast also works intermittently. Don’t buy a Vizio

Alright but not worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn't recommend this tv. It's pretty and quality is good but display has major issues and the tv freezes and turns off. We tried 3 of the same tv and all has the same issue. Would stay away from Vizio. Just spend the little extra money on something worth it

Garbage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The E=Series I had before has darker blacks. There is a massive cloud of backlights that appears, on then off again, like a slow flickering while a movie plays. There is backlight bleeding, blooming and banding. The software is slow. The Smartcast doesn't work. The HDMI ports never recognize what is plugged into them and so you have to unplug the HDMI cable then plug it back in for your component to be recognized. last but not least... just as the Best Buy return expired... a huge red bar appeared in the middle of the television and the only fix was a factory reset. After a factory reset comes the slow grueling process of re-entering all the sign-in information for VUDU, NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME etc. This TV sucks!
