Pray you don't get a lemon!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Based on reviews we thought this was going to be a great tv. The picture was AWESOME when we connected. But 3 months later, the back light is going out and the picture is barely visible. Set up warranty replacement with Vizio, said they had the photo proof of what the TV was doing as well as a picture of the receipt for proof of purchase so I would be contacted in 7-10 days to set up delivery of a replacement. 4 days later I get an email saying they haven't received the photos and have cancelled the replacement request. So I start the whole process again. 5 phone calls, 5 different reps. 3 times told it was being taken care of and today we start it all over again but they tell me "don't worry, this time the service request will go through." Not a single agent speaks English as a 1st language and I have to spell out words to them. More than normal. Not a fan of the customer service. Too bad it wasn't in the return window for Best Buy. They would have replaced it by now.

Awesome Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Smart TV is awesome. The picture clarity is amazing, the colors are vivid and I love the sleek design. All the HDMI plugs are easily accessible on the right side of the TV instead of in the back. We bought another Vizio TV 10 years ago and it's still working great too. Vizio is my go to brand for televisions now. 100% Happy with this purchase.

great value for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A friend bought a Vizio several years ago and was happy with it so that got me interested in them. I'm glad I waited until now, they have more models to choose from. The one I got was next to the best and I'm very happy with the picture. it has 240hz action. I thought the regular price was good, but when it went on sale for black Friday at $150 off, I couldn't say no. I gave it 4 stars because nothing is perfect, setting up took a bit, but I'm sure that's true with most TV's these days.

Overachiever - dream come true
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although multiple Best Buy employees talked poor of Vizio, I did speak to a couple of employees with some sense, and did a ton of research online. The short of it is that for the money, this P series far outperforms Samsung and LG at this price point. The 7 and 8000 Samsung series are inferior to this product in my opinion. This Vizio is far brighter than those models, and although some say brightness isn’t everything, they must not be gaming in HDR where brightness is one of the most critical elements. Now that you know this is a pretty bright tv, excellent at this price, I must also tell you that the colors are fantastic. The color range for the P series is appropriately better than lower Vizio series, and on par with Samsung in this price range. In fact, I was wholly disappointed with the Samsung 7000 series in all regards. My advice, do your own research and don’t rely on the experts in the store.

Incredible picture quality, so so smart features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality on this TV blows me away and I am sometime who can usually see all the little imperfections on any TV. The scaling on this is incredible and makes regular high def content look really good. I'm really starting to hate my cable company, Verizon FiOS, though because they over compress so many channels and they end up looking sub par. The SmartCast feature is meh. I love being able to just cast anything to the TV, but the interface is slow and I hate that it advertises to you. All in all, this is an incredible TV for the price and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Spectacular Image for Spectacular Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pricepoint for the P series Vizio is the best bang for buck against any of its competitors. From the low profile bezel to the 56 dimmable zones, dolby HDR, and the 4K 60hz settings makes this a great buy for the average consumer.

Great Value for Amazing TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV set has been great since we got it. The picture is great and the refresh rate allows fast moving video games and sports to look incredibly smooth. There are plenty of inputs for devices, though the smart functions of this TV may be enough for casual users. I would highly recommending taking the time to adjust some of the settings (backlighting, brightness, etc.) to get it to look it's best. There are plenty of tutorials if you search 'Vizio TV Calibration'.

The best picture and colors for a really great tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has very deep blacks, and the colors in the picture look so bright and vibrant. The 4k picture looks crystal clear. I own an Xbox one x, and a PS4 pro console. They both look fantastic on this tv. I have had a lot of experience with TV's within the last 15 years. Been threw the Samsung QLED series 6 had problem with that tv a Sony 900e with in a year. The Vizio p series had better picture than both of those brands of TV's. And if you like smooth motion with game mode on you will really enjoy this tv. The only thing that I don't like on the tv is the sound quality isn't that great but, hey get a sound bar. But one thing you should always do when you buy a new TV is get the extra warranty well worth it. You won't be disappointed in this tv. The tv is comparable to the 900f from Sony, and the Samsung 8 serious qled. Nothing beats Vizio price, and quality of a product.

A Top 3 or 5 Non-OLED 4K TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gets a solid 4.5 from me. I've had Samsung 4k TVs in the past, but this one was the best 4k TV I've ever had. The OS is slow, but I guess you somehoe just put up with it, but when it comes to picture quality and rich HDR , this is arguably the best bang for your Mid-Range 4K TV. I was using an MU800D (The Costco or Sam's equivalent to the MU8000),and there is a difference. I eventually returned mine ,but I this was the best TV I Had. If you do decide to using lets say the Dolby Atmos Vizio soundbar's ARC, you might notice some banding and /or blooming . Vizio supposedly released a firmware update , but should you have issues, just connect devices separately.

Good smart tv for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very pleased with this purchase. There are better pictures out there, but I just do not see the point of spending thousands of dollars on a TV. Maybe I'm just cheap but I do not need to see a pimple on the face of a someone. Paired with a good sound bar, this is a good smart tv, easy to use.

Great quality, great price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently closed on a house and was looking for a solid TV with good picture, especially for movies. I recently had the LG Uj series and was nervous this wouldn’t be as good, but wow it is so much better! The local dimming is such an improvement from the LG models! For those who don’t know, that is the uniformity of the black colors during dark scenes. With my LG you could see where the back lighting was turned off except for the little lighting on the screen which caused a huge gray mesh on the tv, with my new vizio, the entire screen looks so much more uniform! I wanted a tv that looked great playing 4K and movies and this is definitely the tv to go with! The only draw back is the sound is not the best but it’s not terrible either. Just get a cheaper $100 sound bar and you’re golden.

Bad user interface and slow apps- Great screen!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very conflicted about this TV. I loved my Vizio m55 4K TV since 2015. And I've been a Vizio advocate since then and have their 5. 1 soundbar system. I mainly wanted a new TV for an easier updated interface for my wife to easily press Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix buttons built into the remote. I've had the The remote has that, but the apps take just as long if not longer than my 2015 model to load the apps. Secondly, the remote itself just feels slow in general making it a lackluster TV experience. That screen though is gorgeous and the TV is very well made. Actually, my first thought was the TCL 6 series with built-in Roku as the operating system. I hear it's Snappy and easy-to-use but the screens on the TCL's can be a bit of a lottery. One more nitpicky thing, is that this TV runs a little hot. According to to the tv reviewing website, Rtings, it's average temperature is 95 degrees compared to TCL 6's 85 degrees. This may not seem like a big deal but if you live in a hot climate and your TVs in a small room with poor ventilation, it quickly becomes a big deal. I'm very familiar with using a Chromecast and even tried out the Nvidia Shield TV. My main conflict is whether or not to just buy a Roku and use it as a secondary device on top of this TV, or go with my original thought and have the Roku built-in with a much more intuitive interface. that may all of the inputs and channels and power buttons are built-in natively with the Roku OS. I may have gotten to a point where the Simplicity value-add of TCL and Roku TV make it more appealing then the better screen Vizio has with a lesser user interface

Excellent Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never wanted an LED, but my beloved plasma died and with OLEDs still a few years away from being a good value purchase in my eyes I was left with few options. That being said I am extremely happy so far. I was looking for the best “bang for your buck” TV as far as picture quality is concerned, and the P series fit the bill perfectly. Great picture, sound is fine, whatever app issues this line had previously seemed to have been corrected with the latest firmware update. My Vizio loads Netflix and other apps much quicker than the fire stick with no issues whatsoever. The viewing angles are poor, as is the case with all LEDs to my understanding. Even being slightly off center causes some deterioration in color. I also use an antenna for local channels, and it takes a solid 10 minutes at least to find the available channels. I had to run the search several times to find the spot where the antenna found the most channels, so that was tedious but works fine after it’s all set up. My 7 year old plasma found more channels much faster than this set for some reason. At this time, the TCL 6 series and the Vizio P seem to be the two most popular value lines. The Vizio was generally rated higher, though not by much, but the TCL was $200 cheaper at retail. TCL could be the better value, but from what I read their quality control is very poor. So you have to play the “panel lottery” and be prepared to make exchanges until you get a good tv. With my Black Friday deal the Vizio P was only $50 more, so to me buying this one was a no brainer. But if the difference was $200 I probably would have gambled with the TCL once, since the ratings were pretty close between the two. If i ended up with a dud I would have just exchanged it for a Vizio. If I didn’t live close to Best Buy or purchased online I wouldn’t even consider the TCL though as the difficulty in exchanging would erase any additional value I was saving in price in my opinion. The Vizio P is a great deal and should be strongly considered by anyone not willing to pay current OLED prices.

Excellent 4K TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This latest 4k TV model from Vizio is pretty amazing. I have watched cable TV, played HDR-enabled games via my PS4 Pro, and streamed 4k content via the YouTube app. Everything looks amazing and I could not be more happy with this item. Let me start with the design, which looks very nice and modern. This unit has no bezel on three of the sides and has a silver metallic bezel along the bottom. It stands via two silver metallic V-shaped legs. I found the TV to be very stable sitting on those legs on top of my TV cabinet. This TV has five HDMI ports: 3 along the back and 2 on the side. Not only is that an excellent number of HDMI inputs, but each of the HDMI inputs supports 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 so that it doesn't matter which input you use to plug in your 4k device. There is one ARC-enabled HDMI input which has worked flawlessly. The included remote functions well and I would say it is typical in quality and features for a Smart TV remote. I also controlled the unit by downloading the Vizio SmartCast app. The app was easy to set up and made casting my phone quick and easy. Next, I will discuss the functionality of the TV. No matter what the source, the image on the screen looked amazing. This TV supports the newest HDR formats: HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG. This TV is going to have an excellent image for a long time to come. I have the 55” model and so it comes with 56 local dimming zones. The contrast between the light and dark parts of a screen image were displayed very well. I saw no light bleeding from the edges, and I observed minimal blooming around brighter parts of the image. For this review, I used all of the factory-set picture options to see how they worked. I must say that they are very useful, very handy, and improved what I was watching. Vivid was extremely powerful (1000 nits I believe) and would work very well in a super-bright room. The two picture modes I used the most were Calibrated and Calibrated-dark. During the day, Calibrated was perfect. It was a little less dark than Vivid but still bright enough to make the image clear in moderate sunlight. Once the sun set, I used Calibrated-dark. There is a Gaming picture mode which changes all the appropriate TV settings to minimize input lag but keep the games looking great. I use a PS4 Pro for my gaming, and all of the games looked so good that I found myself going through my library to find old games I had not played in a long time just to see how good they looked on this TV. I did use a soundbar hooked into the TV via the ARC HDMI input, and that worked well. However, I did listen to the TV speakers for a bit, too. I felt they were reasonably good for TV speakers. TV speakers are rarely going to be great, so I recommend at least a soundbar for any modern TV. I just can't say enough good things about my experience with this TV. Everything has worked well, has been easy and intuitive to use, and it just produces an amazing image from every device I have used on it. I highly recommend this TV for all users, for all purposes.

Good features for the orice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Color out the box was off. I had to play with settings but got it crisp. If you don’t know how or don’t have patience you may be frustrated. Love that it integrates into smart home. Can turn on/off set volume pick a source etc from alexa/google. Clean modern look. Great value but there are better pictures out there. Just not for the price in my opinion. I bought 2. Lol

Picture is good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of this tv is phenomenal, but is it worth the price? It depends on several different factors. If you are using a console to project your shows then yes. If you are using the software built inside the tv? NOT A CHANCE. This is the worst software I’ve ever used in my life. Slow, disconnects every 5 minutes, and sitting on the phone talking to the tech support will be what you do for entertainment if you are not using a console or connected through Ethernet. WiFi on this tv isn’t worth it. I can’t watch HUlu, I’ve even canceled my subscription because I can’t watch it on this. Every 10 minutes it tells me that I can’t use that application, and on top of it you can’t download any other applications. also my tv is constantly factory resetting itself. My WiFi works great in my house, my iPad never disconnects, it’s the tv. My tv is in the same room as my router and getting a 5 bar connection, yet it’s disconnecting so often. I was really hoping I’d get something better for the $800 price. Never buying Vizio again.

Overall very good picture.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is very good. Remote easy to use, although some of the buttons are quite small for a grown man's fingers. One problem I have been having; when switching from HD to standard the set sometimes loses the channel and I have to scroll through 5 or 6 options to get back to the correct HDMI input. To be fair not sure if this is a fault of the TV or the set top box .

Good overall
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good The ridiculously cheap Vizio V-Series offers solid image quality in some models, thanks to local dimming. It supports the latest 4K and HDR video formats, including Dolby Vision. Chromecast built-in works well if you like using your phone to control streaming. The bad Similarly cheap Roku TVs aren't much far behind in image quality and much better overall for streaming. Many V-Series models have inferior display technology. The bottom line Although the best Vizio V-Series models are worth considering, the competition's superior streaming wins the day.

Great 4k tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am loving the picture on this set. I primarily use it for gaming on a ps4 pro and xb1x and for the few games I have had a chance to play (ps4-GoW and Detroit; xb1x: shadow of TR) the visuals are beyond stunning. The hdr does really shine on this set too. Make sure you calibrate/tweak the settings using reviewer (rtings, reviewed.com, CNET, etc) recommendations because the out the box picture is not pretty at all. Also if gaming in hdr special settings need to be edited both in the TV's menu and on your console, Youtuber Joelster has a pretty simple walk through on how to get 4k and hdr content to properly display from the 4k and hdr capable systems.
