    I had very high hopes for this tv. After months of research and comparison I decided on the Vizio over a Samsung. Big mistake. Within two weeks I have had multiple issues with connectivity. Each of the HDMI ports give an intermittent two second black screen....the sound remains but the picture disappears. The picture does return but within an hour or so it happens again....blank screen, flicker of a show, blank screeen, show comes back. I replaced all of my HDMI cables with new 2.0s and it did not help. Vizio support had me reboot everything but to no avail. Not sure what to do at this point since I’m past my rerun period. Here’s hoping that vizio can come up with a workaround.

    This TV was great until it was not. I’ve owned 5 Vizios previously and this one was the best spec’d - but 18 no or so after but black spots began flashing on the screen- seen others with same issue on forums.

    After reading reviews and previous experience with vizio tvs I was expecting something much better. The bottom left corner backlight seems to be brighter then the rest of the set and the back light seems to lag behind the image in panning images which results in a flicker . it's even toticable when playing the on board store demo. With videos with lighter tones this issue is even more prevalent and a noticeable dirty scree effect with panning images. when runningetting the local dimming test used by RTINGS the separation between zones is extremely noticeable and a dark vertical is noticeably present resulting in more flashing. bloom is also very bad. was very excited at the price point of this TV but wish I had my old m50 back. i should note that I have already exchanged this model unit for another which displayed similar issues.

    Terrible TV

    Prior to buying this TV, I reviewed several different makes and models and chose this TV because I have always enjoyed the picture quality of a Vizio. When I was reading the reviews I tried to overlook the negative reviews because it seemed that the positive ones outweighed the negative ones. The TV worked great for a bout 3 weeks then went downhill from there. The HDMI ports started to not recognize the input that was connected. I tried everything from switching around HDMI cables to purchasing new ones. Shortly after that, the TV started shooting lines across it even after a "hard reset". I contacted Vizio customer support and they were of no help other than telling me they needed pictures, and videos of the TV as this was going on. Needless to say, I will not buy another Vizio TV.

    This TV is awful. We've owned it for almost 3 years and we just can't take another one, so we are replacing it. It takes FOREVER to start up the tv. It has gotten worse with time, to the point where I hit the "on" button, do other things around the house and then come back and hope it has turned on. Sometimes it will just crash on us - go black, and then there's this weird coloring flickering on the screen. The apps often crash as well. We have done the factory reset a few times, but I'm just sick of it at this point. What good is a high quality picture if you can't get the tv to work in the first place?

    After a little over 2 years use developed black shading on the screen and intermittent sound problems. For a Vizio this is surprising and I now have to replace the TV

    Three years later and I'm having to replace. Search and you'll find a number of panel issues, including going black, random digital full screen colored static. The local dimming died and bugged out after a year of owning. I really wish I would have gotten the BB warranty like I'll do with my next purchase. Disappointed, as my older Vizio is still working like a beast, but will be purchasing another brand going forward.

    This TV looks great, but it's going back to the store because it has no real USB support: will only play mp4 files from a stick, but will NOT play standard .srt subtitle files from the same stick. Also, if you stop watching a file in the middle, you're unable to resume from where you've stopped; you must remember where you've stopped and fast-forward to your stopping place (and fast-forward on this TV is painfully slow!). What a shame, as the TV looks great, and these would be easy fixes via a firmware release. What were they thinking!?

    TCL Panel Lottery all over again

    On my second television. First had three or four noticeable dark zones causing significant uniformity issues. Network adapter which was directly hooked up to my router could not obtain a good enough bandwidth to play 4K HDR content. On my second TV...panel is worse. Horrible noticeable banding, light bleed, and extremely laggy local dimming causing shadows to trail behind moving bright objects. Local dimming feature is essentially unusable on my second set. Probably going to return for the TCL...if I'm going to get banding and Dirty Screen Effect issues, I might as well pay $100 less.

    Purchased the Tv on Nov 4, Loved the TV and always had a vizio tv in the past, but to my disadvantage right after cyber monday tv starts showing a white line flicker at random times on the screen to a point that it gets distracting, Im glad I saved all the box and packaging , thinking about what to do whit this TV now.attaching photo of the white line .

    HDR Issues - Avoid

    Starting late 2021 dark blotches appear on the screen randomly when watching HDR content on the P55-F1 model. Apparently it's a known defect with the TV. (Multipe theads about it online) There is no real fix to it. The only options is turning the Active Array to low or off entirely and neither of these options are great. With the Active Array at low, you maintain some of the black levels, but lose out on peak brightness and HDR highlights. With it turned off, you lose the black levels and depth. So it's up to individual preference on which downgrade they prefer. Long story short I purchased in 2019, and it didn’t even last 3 years. Never buying another Vizio.

    This tv has a history of malfuntions.During use the tv shuts itself off(or crashes), then turns itself back on. It happens frequently while watching movies. When streaming it freezes and crashes. I have tried to make it work, this tv has a known history,just look it up on youtube. Had i known this product was defective i would have bought a different make. I hate this tv. Never had a tv with so many problems. This tv has cost me much time and money.

    Black screen with blurry white images

    Bought TV on 1/26/19. Worked that day. We turned it on morning of 1/27/19, nothing but a black screen and blurry white images in the background. I will coming to the store and getting a refund on this item when your store opens at 11 am 1/27. I noticed quite a few people have had this issue with this brand and series online now. Very disappointed with Visio. I will be getting a different brand.

    This TV is biggest piece of junk. The picture quality sucks, it can hardly do black colors well enough. It also randomly shuts off and turns back on for no reason. The speakers don't play music well. I could go on and on about this waste of money. Don't buy this.

    Bad HDMI 1 Port

    I and others have had issues with HDMI port 1 not passing through a 4K HDR 60hz signal when connected to certain receivers and consoles. Even replacing all my cables to high speed certified HDMI cables did not alleviate the issue. Vizio insists the user is at fault. I will look to another brand for my next TV purchase.

    Vizio failure

    Not even 4 years old and it has black shading that pops up on the screen at all times in different areas. It is very distracting and disappointing for the cost and brand that I paid for.
