I feel that this TV provides one of the best picture quality per dollar spent you will find. Slight knock for angle viewing but that is to be expected from this type of tv. Not as bad as some but worse than Qled. Overall a great TV. We did end up plugging a Roku Stick+ into one of the HDMI ports as it provided better speed than the tv’s native WiFi connection. TV’s WiFi worked fine and would have served its intended purpose. Roku is just better.

I absolutely love this TV! Great for gaming and watching movies! Love the full array back lighting and makes movies and games pop. Black levels on this TV are extremely good. Interface is a little bit slow but the picture quality makes up for it!

Nice picture quality. Design is also good that fits in my living room well. Sounds are a little thin and user interface is not very intuitive so usually takes me more steps to get where I want but overall it's a very nice TV.

I’ve had the Vizio p55 for about a month now and am impressed every time I turn it on. Originally I was considering Sony’s 900f or praying an OLED would drop in price, but I saw the Vizio and saw they had an open box for a great price and took it. I was ready to look for any flaw with the picture and go back for the 900f, but after getting home and playing my Xbox oneX and watching 4K videos there was no way I was returning. The 4K picture out of the box is incredible, blacks are deeeep and images look natural, not cartoonish like on Samsung sets. For almost $400 less than the Sony you will not have doubts about your purchase. Also having an option for gaming latency speed is a nice bonus. My only gripe is that the built in SmartCast (smart tv menu) is laggy and the legs are very wide so the table has to be long, but I bought a table top mounting system for $35 on Amazon. Sound quality is not very good so make sure you get Vizio’s incredible sound bar that’s only about $130. Sorry if it sounds like I’m a fan boy but I’m not, this is my first Vizio. I’ve had Samsung’s for a long time but none of their sets below $1500 impressed me.

I purchased this TV after reading about TVs in general on rtings. I'd highly suggest you go there prior to buying a TV. With that said, here's what I think after using the TV for about three weeks: Pros: - The TV seems nicely built in general. - It is an enormous upgrade over the old 1080p TV I had in terms of picture quality, especially in the way the local dimming can get the darks much closer to black and it gets much brighter to boot. - Five HDMI inputs is fantastic, and the low latency port is great for game consoles. - There are a ton of menu options available to customize each input to what works best for you. - The included smart apps work well and navigating between them is relatively easy. The fact that chromecast is built into the TV makes it relatively easy to use other apps that aren't native on the TV. - I've had no issues streaming 4k HDR content on Netflix or Amazon Video, so the hardware and software package keeps up with the demands of the stream. Cons: - The sound that comes out of this TV is mediocre. I'd recommend an external speaker setup of some sort. - The "watchfree" feature that Vizio recently added to their televisions is not very good. While perusing a selection of channels, they generally looked to be broadcast in 480p and video at less than 720p looks bad on this TV. - I'd prefer a stand that is a little less wide than the one that comes with this TV, as it reduces the options you've got for platforms. The included stand is quite sturdy, though.

I had checked the ratings before purchasing this set and found it very highly rated. I can safely say that the ratings were justified. The picture quality is outstanding, the blacks are deep black and this makes the colors vibrant to the point of brilliant. I do wish that all of the manufacturers would go back to a center post stand but not a deal breaker. Outstanding set with beautiful graphics and colors.

This has been a nice tv, and works very well with Alexa. I learned soon after purchasing it that it will not support my SNES even though it claims it supports RCA connections.I talked with customer service and had a tech come out and switch out the board but he couldn't get it to work and said I would just have to buy a converter. a bit disappointing since this was supposed to be for a game room, I also talked to the tech about having poor wifi connectivity for the tv even though all of the gaming systems had great connection. He said it was a common complaint with the tv and there was nothing he could do. Nice picture though and fairly responsive for the price point.

I’ve owned Vizio products for the past 5 years. I upgraded from my 1080p M series with the 4k P series. This tv looks great paired with the Xbox One X. You can connect your smart phone by Bluetooth and project whatever you’re doing on the tv. I found it easy to navigate through the TVs menus and to adjust the settings. The P series is a great mid-grade tv that delivers great picture quality and features.

Vizio 55” P series was a great purchase. The picture quality is awesome. First tv purchased in 10 years. Pre Black Friday deal was marked down 20%. I contemplated on buying the 55” E- series. I compared the picture quality, price, features and the P-series was definitely the way to go. I don’t use the smart tv’s capability’s, but one feature I do like is I can dim or brighten the picture very easily.

I extensively researched 2018 TVs and ultimately settled on this model for various reasons. For the average and even more finnicky user, this TV will definitely impress at its price point. The frame and legs are metal and of good quality with good quality plastic for the back and bottom. The audio is poor as expected and the speakers face the rear to promote more real estate for the near bezel-less screen. The user interface was actually better than I was led to believe by most online reviews of this set. It was decently smooth and presented no issues as to the function, navigation, and presentation. Setup was easy and the multiple inputs for HDMI are nice. The resolution and performance of this set were very high and definitely impressive. www.rtings.com does an excellent job detailing the finer points of this TV's performance and display quality so I won't get into that here. What I will touch on is my only concern that is great enough to cause me to ultimately end up returning this model, not because it is a bad tv, but because my specific set had a flaw I am unable to live with. This flaw involves horizontal glitch or distortion lines that will flicker across the screen in various random places at random times on any input or picture mode, but will do so most frequently either right after turning the TV on or a few minutes into whatever is being displayed and then randomly after that. I called Vizio support and followed all their recommended procedures for remedying the issue, involving a power cycle, factory reset, and even leaving all the picture settings on the default factory setting under "Vivid" picture mode with their recommended settings. Nothing corrected the flickering lines. I will note that I cannot determine if this is a hardware or firmware/software issue and upon initial setup of the TV, I did download and update the latest firmware updates to the TV, which I regret doing because I was not able to properly test this TV for the defect before the update to determine if it was the update itself that did this. So after weeks of testing, this was the only perceivable flaw I could find in this model I could not live with, so I will be returning this TV for an exchange. If I encounter this issue after the second and third exchanges, then I will update this review and lower my score as this is a deal breaking flaw in my opinion that Vizio seems to largely be determined to remain "unaware" of, which is pretty sad as this looks like a simply software fix. Bottom line, awesome TV for the price if you can live with minor flaws or can find a set without these irritating horizontal flickering lines.

First off. Amazing TV for the price. Love the picture when everything is going good. Now there are some bugs I will disclose and I'm hoping they will be fixed soon 1. Random, horizontal white line flash 2. Blinking LED in a dimming zone 3. TV sometimes doesn't turn on. Power light lights up but no picture. Have to unplug and replug it in to reboot Again. I'm glad I got this TV. I love it. Just hoping these bugs get squashed

Keep in mind that many things are not filmed in 4K, so this TV won’t make everything suddenly look like straight from a movie theater. Occasionally, Netflix gets buggy. If you have a sound system, things on the TV (like Netflix, Hulu, or even video games) won’t play through the system, which is a burden. The image quality is really good! It does take a minute for it to adjust the image but once it calibrates, it’s good. Chrome cast being built in is also really helpful. When paired with HD media, it’s really amazing. The true sound of the TV is quite good, too. Overall, a good TV

I just crossed over into the 4k arena about a month ago and was pretty green with what i was looking for. My first purchase was the Samsung MU8000. I got it on the cheap. I brought it home and hooked it up to my Xbox One X and I was not blown away. I tried to calibrate it using rtings website recommendations and still couldn't hit tge sweet spot. So went back online to research and find the best gaminng 4k tv under $1,000. This tv was at #1. I looked at the category ratings and 2 stood out to me...video gaming and hdr gaming. Rtings game it an 8.9 and 8.6 respectively. So using my elite member status i took the Samsung back and purchased this tv and man...it blew me AWAY! This is what i expect 4k Ultra HDR gaming and streaming to look like. Im so happy with my purchase

Got this tv on sale and I got to finance it for 18 months. It’s on the wall of a very well lit living room and the tv does well preventing glare and providing an awesome picture, especially when playing 4K content on my Roku4. It also has a very sleek design. Smart services leave a little to be desired but I just use my Roku anyway. Great tv overall for the first 6 months at least!

For the price of less than $700 this is a great picture. Best Buy had it right next to the LG for more than twice the price and vizio looked the same. Remote is easy to use and Alexa pairs well. So we have not used the remote very much. because of how thin the set is the speakers are very small and point out the back so it needs to be on the wall or you need a separate sound system (Dolby) for the true sound quality from your UHD Blurays. I would have given it 5* if it had Optical AND Digital out. Only optical for surround (7.1) is a little weird. you might want to get receiver that uses hdmi sound NOT pass through or make sure that it has enough optical in ports for your needs

I bought the tv open box and got a great discount. Great great discount. When I put it in my bedroom which is usually dim to dark it worked great. Had an LG previously that got cracked on my recent move. Replaced with this tv and am very pleased. Deep clear blacks and looks great with low light.

I have owned this TV a little less than 1 month, but I love it so far. Let me preface it by saying that I love the tv, but the built-in Chromecast is clunky and slow and as others have noted, it has a limited range of apps built in. Apparently they add them as they deem demand worthy. The reason I am still giving it 5 stars is because I use this TV paired with my Xbox One X and it has amazing clarity when used with the Xbox One X. I love the built- in and customizable and easy to switch between color profiles. I frequently switch between "Vivid" and "Game" for streaming content and playing fast paced video games respectively. Another great feature of this is the remote has a dedicated picture button that makes switching profiles a 1 second process. It has more inputs that I know what to do with and good sound too. Very elegant, small bezel design and looks great on a VESA mount or on the provided legs. I have had zero issues with flashes, streaks, color related issues, or anything else. I would recommend this TV to others.

First of all, this tv is amazing for HDR gaming. That’s why I bought it in the first place. Be advised, however, this tv has a lot of picture adjustment options, which might be hard to adjust for those not very acquainted with it. So make sure to test all the options to get the best picture quality possible. Moreover, the black levels are great, which makes this tv perfect for dark rooms. I don’t really use the smart options very much, except for netflix, which pairs with my phone just fine. Not that a care, but the tvs design is beautiful. It has a game mode which makes it great for gaming, snake sure to turn it on if u are playing cause otherwise the input lag is noticeable. Also, remember that one of the HDMI slots does not support more than 1080p, but does support 120hz. Also, don’t forget to go to your input and turn on RGB for HDR content. Overall, I can’t think of anything bad about this Tv, I got it for a decent price of black friday and I am extremely happy with it.
